- Fred and his husband began the discussion of having children not long after they got married. Though their first two adoption rounds seemed promising, they both ultimately ended in a crushing failure. Fortunately for them, the third time was a charm - and they were able to bring their newborn son home from the delivery room.

@@camillekyle5776 I am tolerant of people's beliefs. What I am NOT tolerant of is when people use religion to hate anybody that they deem undesirable and are judgmental of because of who they love. Worship any god you want but don't preach hate because some people don't believe in God.
The setbacks you suffered have strengthened your love and Lincoln now has 2 loving dads. Giving up a child is never easy, but having you present at Lincoln's birth is the most maternal thing she could have done...so happy for all 4 of you!

So to be fair, Gynecologist specializes in reproductive health. A Obstetrician specializes in care of mother”s health during pregnancy, during birth and just after. OBGYN does both. There are so many reasons. There are girls who come from religious backgrounds, where abortion isn´t permitted. There are women who are very poor, and already have a lot of children, who can´t afford another baby. There are women who suffer from illnesses, who might not have the strength to raise a child. There are girls who very young and not ready to be a mother. There are girls who become pregnant through rape, or even incestual rape by family members, and can´t bare to have a child with a rapist. Just because someone can get pregnant, doesn´t mean that they will be suitable mothers.
