The fact she missed a point AND gave herself one wrongly perfectly evening out was just perfect.
It's easy to argue that she would have won regardless. Remove the luck based Shiny and luck based distortion, she's still ahead by 2 points. Even taking off the call a friend point still leaves her ahead. Though it will always be funny that she was constantly praising her Bidoof skills and then didn't count them correctly, which could have cost her.
@@justinalicea1590 The Ursaluna evolution stone luck too, so taking that all in account, there would be a tie.
@@failmeep5167 I guess, but that feels much less luck dependant than the other two. While they are all technically game dependent, the Ursaluna search one feels more active than the others. Especially as it contributes to the rest of the bingo board, giving an evolution option like we saw. Whereas a Shiny or distortion are just "Oh boy, I hope it shows up while I'm doing something else."
@@justinalicea1590 I would have taken an extra point from her since she didn't CATCH 2 babies, but traded for one. She went literal on the "craft 10 ultraballs" one, so she has to be consistent on the readings
@@Raviollius I don't agree with that. Crafting is a new mechanic and obviously separate from buying, so no confusion there. Same thing with how defeating a Pokémon and catching it are distinctly separate.
Whereas the slogan to Pokémon is "Gotta catch em all" and then two versions of the games are released with Pokémon you can only find in those games and must trade over. Yet the Pokédex labels them as "caught" all the same. Caught in Pokémon is the same as obtain.
I mean, 6 minutes to find a Shiny is what I expect from you. You put it best, “It’s just pure talent”.

Maybe you didn't know this, but there's an item that works with trade-evolution pokemon in this game, I think it's called a Link Cord, which basically evolves 'em the same way that you evolve Pokémon with stones, no trading required! 😉

It doesn't specify that it needs to be an alpha and the size required for the quest is less than the alpha pokemon size, so it's not completely obvious
@RocketMidbus Still, just get an Alpha one, it’s much easier than hunting for the extremely rare chance of a normal one being bigger that takes too long to check if it is big enough.

@ They do but very rarely. Same rarity as Spiritomb appearing in the place by the quest location

@ Maybe but it takes more time to find Phione as you have to get to the area first

My sister is this exact same way, even as kids she was a pokemon prodigy. Has like a billion shinies, hunts max IVs, has caught every pokemon ever and has a museum's worth of collectibles since the series began. I might have beaten her in a pokemon battle once, but between the amount of times I lost that's practically an urban legend😂😂

There's so many pokemon that you can basically guarantee they can't catch in the time limit unless they get super lucky, spend a disproportionate amount of time finding, or haven't caught already, for example: pokemon you can only catch once, distortion exclusive pokemon, spiritomb, cherrim, pokemon that can't be naturally found in that form so they technically can't "catch" them, etc

Can you make a video of your recommendations of top Pokémon to shiny hunt in each game/gen? I want to go back through each game, and catch just 1 Pokémon for each one. But I want to know what you think a great one to attempt would be for each one! Obviously gen 1 would be nothing because that’s psychotic.
