Technically no psi means per square inch. Usually measured in pounds but can be measured in tons if there's enough force. That is unless you use metric then its kilos.
Average man can generate about 300 PSI with their punches You will need 63000 psi to punch through titanium Master chief in the the end of halo 3: *Punches the titanium floor and makes a damn hole on forward unto dawn effortlessly to stop from falling* Me: why made these demigod dudes for just squashing mere mortal skulls of insurrectionists???
When judging OP-ness its all about power scale, a good example are 40k Space Marines utter BS to most other universes but then you look at crap like the Necrons and realize that while Space Marines might be OP for other universes in 40k they are much more balanced
Lore for 40k is whatever the writes want it to be, kind of hard to determine how strong anything really is in 40k. A good example is Eldar vs humans in melee, if the Eldar really were these lightning fast aliens we're told they are, a baseline human would never fight them in hand to hand because the human would die before they can blink, but that's not what we see happen in the lore, a very well trained human CAN block and parry the attacks from an Eldar meaning they aren't as ridiculously OP as we're told, nothing in 40k is consistent, and this is intentional.
I love both universes. Seemingly a Space Marine would win, but a Spartan can win. They're not far apart, except for the armor. It's an interesting matchup that deserves thought for a plausible outcome.
@@Cha-Khia you also have to understand that while yes the Guard are baseline or lightly augmented they are literally the best soldiers their planet has to offer.
First. I also hate how people look at the games to judge how powerful things are. A few people I've talked to said that the Covenant species are stupid simply because of how their AI behave. Also you're right about Spartans not being overpowered in halo. Even a Grunt named Stolt was able to best a Spartan. And Spartans have a hard time keeping up with the speed of Skirmishers
@@PackHunter117 ah. Yeah its dumb. In lore Skirmishers and other races are said to be incredibly intelligent, the covenant even used some Skirmishers as scientists.
The Doom marine/Doom Slayer would probably be a solid match for a Spartan 2... though he and 117 would probably just become best friends/drinking buddies given their accomplishments.
@@wrongjeremy2008 I feel like the Doom Slayer is getting a little too much credit because of stylistic choices in-game. Given the example of the Chief ripping-and-tearing the titanium hull, I'm sure if you stuck him in a stylistically gory game with a fast running engine like Doom, he'd be beating things with their own limbs too. I feel like the strongest argument in the favor of The Doom Slayer is that Mjolnir armor is less durable than the Praetor suit. I think an argument could be made that The Doom Slayer would beat a Spartan, but The Master Chief specifically is a bit more nebulous.
First matchup: Sure, even a Spartan-I can beat a T-800. Though it would be close. Second matchup: Really it would depend on which Mark of Iron Man armor. But the higher versions, I doubt any Spartan can beat. And I don't see a Spartan being able to beat the Hulkbuster armor. Third matchup: The pilots are more like Spartan-I so the Twos and up would devastate them. Fourth: One ODST can beat them. Fifth: That's actually on hold till we learn more on what Guardians can do when not restrained by game mechanics. Sixth: Abstained since I haven't played or read up on Anthem. Seventh: Tricky but I agree Spartans have more of an edge. Eighth: Cap is, essentially, a Spartan-I. He stands no chance against higher tiers. Spartans are overpowered. But not unbeatable. I can think of other universes where they are indeed overpowered but the universe has means to defeat them with ease.
I would say that a guardian would beat a spartan considering they hold the powers to defeat quite literaly gods, which they havedone both in games annd in lore
a Spartan can wreck a T800 as terminators are a full frontal brute force fighter. Not so sure if it was a T-X model Hulkbuster is powerful but designed to take on the hulk not a intelligent, trained, adaptive and agile opponents. Cortana or a UNSC AI could probably hack JARVIS and shut down most suits. Three, four, six Spartans win. Five Spartans can take guardians out but they also can resurrect, so maybe winning by attrition. Seven armoured Spartan wins. But how will would a unarmoured Spartan handle a predator, Tie maybe? Eight: depends which one. MCU cap gets beaten everytime, however the original 616 comics version is significantly more capable, he's stronger, faster and more durable than the movie version and his feats do match a Spartan IIs pound for pound.
Hunter1046, how do you know this? There’s no actual canon lore or stats on the organic forms of actual Forerunner infantry. Consider this. Forerunners used their actual people (not robots or constructs) against Ancient Humans in the Forerunner-Human war. And they were pretty comparable on the battlefield according to excerpts from Halo: Cryptum, with Humans winning MANY engagements in space and on ground against a numerically superior enemy. Now, humans in the 26th century have found a derelict Ancient Human ship, and within it was found an old suit of ancient human combat skin. It was determined that only Spartan 2s were able to wear and utilize the armor, from this research the Hellcat variant of Mark 5 (or 6, can’t remember) was made. It’s most likely that Ancient Human warriors and Spartan 2s are quite similar in physiology. Using this logic, it’s easy to surmise that Spartan 2s are at least on par, if not superior to organic Forerunner infantry.
@@equinsuocha8905 In the mission library on Halo CE 343 Guilty spark merely regarded Chiefs armour as a low tier. Also the didact was wearing a form of warrior servant gear and we saw what he did to a spartan squad and nearly replicated that feat onto blue team.
Ween, you made my point. Like I said, there’s no stats on organic Forerunner infantry or ancient Human infantry for that matter. It’s just conjecture and your opinion. My comment was based on the information we KNOW as fact as far as the lore is concerned.
Hunter1046, it’s only a low tier because it’s basically a first iteration of power armor. Give it a few thousand years. And given that you can easily beat Forerunner constructs and Armigers in game, it can’t be that low.
Uh, dude I have verry little love for the Destiny franchise, but you are massively underselling the powers of Guardians and a few others. You're comming at this for most of these as if a fist fight was the only option. But then you have him out-range Captain America suddenly. I do agree Spartans handle most of these fights and come out on top I think there's just too many factors you aren't concidering.
Ok so he'd only be slightly worse than Lady Efrideet... WHO CAN REZ INFINITELY unless you get crazy firepower like a MAC and a whole ship's arsenal pointed straight at her Ghost, and even then if the Ghost knows (and it would probably be able to decrypt any and all comms) it'd just get away, wait for the destruction to stop, and just come rez
To be fair, he only counted hand-to-hand combat, even against Cap. But i'm not sure he'd beat Titans like Shaxx in a fistfight, ok great he can punch hard but Titans punch hard with punchy space magic on top
"elites and brutes are easily capable of taking on a spartan in hand to hand combat" a lone spartan after mowing through an entire legion of covenant forces: "that doesn't sound right"
*@Installation00* would love to hear your take on the Brute species. I feel like the Halo community takes for granted how insanely powerful they are. One can easily make an argument they have more business in superhero comics than a sci-fi universe mostly grounded in reality
brutes...are scary since they are able to apply god who knows how many pounds of force to crush bend flatten and break the titanium composite in halo which by the way is a multitude times stronger than standard titanium which requires a ridiculous amount of force already. You are looking at over hundreds of thousands of pounds of force from Spartans elites and brutes especially in some cases. Pure Titanium has a yield strength of 100-225 MPa [1]. Titanium alloys have yield strenghts of 800 MPa plus. Exactly how much stress an applied force results in varies enormously depending on how you apply it. Lets say you place your 2x2x2 (meter) block on the ground, and proceed to place increasing weights on it. We'll assume the stress is uniformly distributed, because I don't have access to any modeling software right now. We'll also assume the ground has no give in it. Your block has a 4m2 surface area that must transfer this load to the ground. Stress is Newtons per m2, so if we apply 1 newton, there is 0.25 Pa of stress in the block. If we apply 40,775 tons, we get to 100 MPa. 91,744 tons gives us 225 MPa. The block will begin to squish when the stress rises above the yield strength, but you will probably have to increase the load further to reach the ultimate tensile strength of 246-370 MPa, at this point it will flatten like a pancake. It is unlikely we will see any buckling behavior since the block isn't tall and skinny, instead the block is likely to pancake, and it will be able to support a greater load as it gets wider. So considering what feats we have seen...that is very terrifying and even more so proves the stupid arguments of places like star wars and so forth being able to destroy humanity. Part of that is referenced mostly from legends material while the reality of the capability is much less scaled down. People put turbo lasers in gigatons hundreds of gigatons that is already more than enough force for one planet to become extinct basically and cause tremendous damage overall. And yes the death star laser is in the hundreds of petatons of force most likely but with how much energy and charge time is needed plus the size of the station yeah id say that is possible. Look at the massive planet sized version in the horrendous new Disney movies that used a star to fuel itself and destroy multiple planets at once small planets yes but still impressive. But those are super weapons not a very tiny star ship shooting basically similar to plasma but a more dubbed down version of it for the most part in bolts. Id say megatons to maybe a few hundred mega tons for full charged turbo lasers from most ships and the super sized versions in low gigatons probably. Yet one from the original macs at 4% the speed of light with a 3000 kilo tungsten round was enough to wipe out an entire planet of life and more. Now those are from the orbital macs early versions yes the normal macs were 600 kilo rounds at 4%. Kinetic energy is related to mass and energy by: E=1/2mv^2 This means that the energy increases quadratically with velocity. A 600,000 kilogram projectile moving at 30,000 m/s would have a kinetic energy of 2.7e14 joules, which according to wikipedia would be equivalent to a 64.5 kiloton TNT explosion, or about 4 times the energy of the nuclear weapon that razed Hiroshima. The second projectile has a very high velocity, approximately 4% of the speed of light. Whilst pretty fast, this is actually not fast enough for relativity to have a substantial impact on the kinetic energy. Thus, solving naively, we obtain an energy of 2.16e20 joules, which is slightly over 1000 times the yield of the Tsar Bomba. The majority of this energy would be released at ground level, as opposed to the Tsar's airburst. id say that is a very good explanation using what we are given originally compared to the new and during the war numbers. At 4% the speed of light while not increasing its kinetic load as greatly its punch through would probably break through the earths crust and mantle possibly or more and the overall shock would probably wipe the entire planet and leave it a nasty wasteland.
My favorite part of the Atriox ambush scene is Douglas even after having his more expensive than a cruiser armor crushed. My boi Douglas was still gonna get back up and fight that’s what’s up. Perfect representation of a spartan 2
(Glances sideways at Space Marines from 40k, and even the Mobile Infantry in the original Starship Troopers books) On the contrary; they need to be more powerful. Give them psionic powers. I wonder if this is why people who like 40k tend to like Halo; everythings bigger, stronger, and more awesome in both. Also, a lot of these skip over the Spartan's training. These dudes were GROUND DOWN. War is all they know. THAT is as much of an advantage as their armor or augmentations in my book. Not that they NEED the extra advantage but a lot of people seem to forget that... Sure the IVs dont have it but they're all expereinced soldiers with years (sometimes decades) of live fire combat under their belt.
You see. This is what I'm talking about. Straight forward, no crud. And still people feel the need to add parameters. Everyone of these the chief could beat, some would give him a fight, but all would loose. If cap had a mjolnir suit, I think he would beat chief. But he doesn't, that's not captain America. Cap as he is would get beat by the chief. Yes iron man with a god killer suit (dont know if that's a real thing) would beat chief, but that's not the iron man we are putting him against. He too would be beaten. If you do a versus or comparisons THIS is how you do it.
@@KillerOrca exactly! I always found War Machine infinitely more intimidating. He's career military wearing a skunkworks version of the ironman suit. That's scary.
So what version of Iron Man did you use? There’s tens of them and each one has different levels of technology advancement and even a few with actual combat training. Because I’d agree with you on quite a few of them(probably most), but I think any version of Iron Man with the bleeding edge, Hulk Buster, or symbiotic armor would have the advantage over Master chief. And it’s the bullshit that I just spewed that makes arguments, debates, and conversations like this impossible so sorry.
I disagree to ehat u said about cap first of allni do believe that he is similar to a spartan 3 but with slower reflexes maybe spartan 2 reflexes but the thing is he doesnt fight people like himself the scenerio he fights in is really disimilar to what master chief fits in while master chief spars and fights people like him all day long plus master chief is no regular spartan he is one of the only 2 peopleto have hyper lethal rating and is a foot and a half taller than captain america while having the same type of augmentations therefore making him stronger plus master chief has been training since he was 6 years old
I'd recommend reading the Spacebattles forums. The consensus is that Forerunners are basically a head above WiH necrons but get stomped hard by Culture and Xelee Sequencs.
@HALO studioz not just grave minds but keyminds wich are as big as a planet. They infecected Mendicant with logic plagaue tell me that is not overpowerd.
She's an interesting one...being the only survivor of a program who's design goal was to create super soldiers without the need of armor...the only feets we have is that she can take on marines in a training battle, ODSTs on the battle field, and go toe-to-toe with aSpartan-IV (in this case, Sarah Palmer, who at that point was still adjusting to her augmentations). I think the idea is that she has the strength of a Spartan-IV in armor.
@Joseph Stalin I don't wanta see john being ripped apart by Psykers. If you put him in that universe things would not go well, I'm sure john may love the idea of serving the God of man vs just humanity as a whole, he would still be in a universe that has demons the size of planets and the occasional WAAGH! 500,000,000 orcs strong. Who knows, maybe he would grow into a high level commander in his chapter, maybe even a chapter master or inquisitor! Even so, he could still get 1 shot by a prime arch or demon prince.
@@hatespeakersargonofakkad6523 you know what would be more awesome he'd become something like The Sisters of Battle (Nuns w/ Guns) and be charge with Faith.
@Joseph Stalin you're right dude i know nothing at all about the two games I've put hundreds of hours of my life into. ua-cam.com/video/DVXEYksoE6c/v-deo.html Astartes 1-5, enjoy that.
@Joseph Stalin well, young john would have appealed to those chapters that recruit from feral/hive worlds. But at this point hed make a decent rogue trader
@D Bo A single flood spore can kill an entire galaxy of beans that are easily 300x more advanced then anything in 40k. so advanced they can literally reseed an entire galaxy. they could kill literal gods. 40k has no chance agaisnt the flood
Here's what will happen. the flood will infect and consume one single planet and then nothing else happens. The flood dont build ships like the tyranids do. it could be decades before a single trade or naval vessel comes by and discovers that the planet is fucked. then the tainted world is subjected to exterminatus. threat over.
I want to point out that all of the instances you mentioned where Spartans were dispatched quickly by the Covenant were in old armour. Mark V, which is 40% as strong as Mark VI, for Grace and John fighting the Brute and Mark IV for the Spartans losing to Atriox, also important to note those Spartans only had a few years of experience and maturity after their augmentations due to stasis, meaning they'd be far weaker than the Spartans who are in their 40s like Chief and Fred.
Nah. Best feat for Spacemarines would be a Terminator getting stepped on by one of a 400-tonne Titan's feet, almost dying and being outright confirmed as surviving only because the building he was on collapsed and absorbed some of the impact. They just get a lot of overestimation because of how much hype they get in-world.
@@Oppen1945 Yea..... For example: What about a Melta? What about A Spartan Laser. What about my superhuman reaction time? What about mine. I can eat poisions to identify them. So? Who's stupid enough to eat Poison. My bolter will kill you. If I don't shoot your unarmored head first. I have redundant organs. But not a redundant head. I can wear a helmet. Yes, but I never take mine off. I have a power sword/chain sword. I have a plasma sword. I can take artillery to the face. Have you seen my bubble sheild/armor lock? When I drop from orbit, I don't try to slow down. I speed up. But you still need a pod. Guess who dosent? I work in units. And I don't? There is blue Team and Noble Team if you want proof. We just don't need to. My spaceship is bigger. Compared to what? Sized properly so everything fits, the Infinity is bigger. -this goes on for a long time-
As a lore nerd for 40k and Halo, here's a rebuttal to all of those: 1. 'What about a Spartan Laser?' - A lascannon is the better equivalent, and its still more powerful and more common. 2. 'What about my superhuman reaction time?' - No contest, both on equal footing. 3. 'Who's stupid enough to eat poison?' - When you run out of rations and have to rely on unknown food sources, we'll see who's laughing now. Astartes have more sustainability. 4. 'If I don't shoot your unarmored head first.' - The only ones who don't have helmets are those who have either a) a different form of protection (hello, Iron Halo), or b) can actually take headshots and fucking live (i.e. Primarchs like Fulgrim in 'Angel Exterminatus), so this point is moot. And besides, one shot to the body is still easier than one to the head, which the bolter can do and most UNSC weapons can't. 5. 'I never take off [my helmet].' - Irrelevant to the argument. 6. 'I have a plasma sword.' - Depending on source, it is generally regarded that power swords are sheathed in an energy field the same way as an energy sword, so it's more even than you think. 7. 'Have you seen my bubble shield/armor lock?' - Yes, but a Spartan has to stand still to use either. Space Marines don't. 8. ' But you still need a pod. Guess who doesn't?' - Might literally be the only advantage Spartans have over Space Marines. 9. 'And I don't? There is Blue Team and Noble Team if you want proof. We just don't need to.' - The stuff Spartans face in Halo are infinitely weaker than those of a Space Marine. If a Spartan can destroy squads of Covenant, then a Space Marine can destroy companies in less time. Spartans have never faced anything with the durability of Orks and Necrons, the speed of Eldar and Dark Eldar, or the mindbending fuckery of Chaos. 10. 'Compared to what? Sized properly so everything fits, the Infinity is bigger.' - Actually, the Infinity is only stated as being 5.7 kilometers, just barely bigger than the average 5 kilometer long Lunar-class cruiser of the Imperial Navy, the _standard_ line ship of the Imperium of Man So, in short, the Spartan is still fairly outclassed. I like to think of the Spartans as an ancient stepping stone of the Space Marines. The same way the flintlock is an ancient stepping stone of the M16 assault rifle.
I would beg to differ with a couple of those ratings. Mainly that while it is true that a spartan could beat any of the mentioned groups or characters I would beg to differ on a 100% win rate on a couple of them. Namely destiny guardians and iron man simply out of their destructive output. Seeing iron man in infinity war especially. But the guardians can not only be resurrected but have ultimate abilities that could trash most Spartans. Not in every case for sure but a sun shot or nova bomb would surely kill a spartan, as would continuous fire from iron man. I mean probably but still. A spartan could rip a guardian in half easy peasy, but a guardian could then use their absurd magical powers to vaporize everything in their general direction. Leading to the fact that comparing other universes is dumb in general. Other than that I wholeheartedly agree with just about everything said in the entire video. Great job once again.
When thinking of Ironman, to be fair, there is almost no way Spartans would beat higher mark levels of Ironman. Ironman is stronger than Spartans by a big factor. If we go down to Extremis version, Tony exceeds any Spartan ever made. Tony’s big weapons are really the only things that could be questionable to beat a Spartan shield at some point. Really Tony has an armor for different situations and technically so do Spartans. Tony’s are just a bit more powerful overall. But I stand behind the decision, since I don’t think capt America taught tony enough lol, Spartans would eventually win but not every time they match.
Spartans reaction time is 0.02 seconds, punch force PSI of 2.5 tons, an absurdly strong energy shield being able to withstand multiple shots of literal superheated plasma (Which is a lot more powerful than Iron mans weapons) The existence of the Spartan Laser, which is iron mans attacks on steroids injected with even more steroids, jetpacks, visual acuity literally in the 80's, etc etc etc Not only is a Spartans reaction time so fast they can literally see/dodge bullets But can also even punch a hole in Tony's armour, even if it didn't, the stopping power alone could literally melt organs and pulverize bone
This is the Batman argument but with Marvel's Iron Man instead. With preparation or the right load out, yes he had a decent chance. Especially if he can just stay in the air and avoid close combat. Heck, many of the cartoon and comic versions of his armor have powerful energy sheilds sometimes rivaling a Spartans. And extremis is nanobot armor allowing him to conjor up whatever he can think of. Heck, combine that with his vibranium armor the asgaurd made and you have a serious threat to a Spartan. But not only are a Spartans physical attributes impressive, they are litterally MADE for nothing but combat since they day they were taken by ONI. Not only do the move fast, punch stupid hard, and can take a beating, they think about combat fast. It is like breathing. So if Tony didn't kill/incapacitate a Spartan fast, then he will likely wind up dead unless he GTFOs. But here are what each side can do to help themselves win: Iron Man: EMP- though the Spartan can still move with their armor off. All I think this really achieves is destroying the sheild. Stay in the air far away. -hard to punch something a few stories above you Move rapidly, possibly with the assist of an auto pilot programed to stay at range of the spartan-will likely fail but may buy time. Overload the Spartans armor doing something like an armor lock- very effective if pulled off but likely requires prior knowledge or living long enough to figure it out. Call in other armors/heros if possible. - Each individual one may get beaten by a Spartan, autopilot armors especially. But numbers are a quality all its own. Spartan- Be a Spartan 2 or 3. -4 s, while impressive, are the mass production model. Not as effective but still enough. Their biggest downfall is they are human mentally. Combat isn't their whole life. Thus they may not recognize an opportunity as quickly as an earlier Spartan. Bring a Spartan Laser- there are only two or three armors I can think of off hand that can survive being oneshot by this weapon. I think you get up to 4 maybe 5 if sheilding is still active but that is pushing it. And chances are if it's a random encounter, Tony won't be wearing any of those 5. Extremis only can save him if Tony knows how dangerous a Spartan Laser- is and has enough time to block the shot using some sort of construction. But then that will make him far easier to outflanked and kill other ways. So if a Spartan Laser- is involved, Tony needs to GtFO. Use Cortana- if it's cheif and he has Cortana, she should be able to hack the armor barring any technovore safeguards being in place. But even then I give her a good chance. Sorry Tony, she is built for this job. Overload your sheilds to send out an eMP. Sure it only worked at close range on the Halo CE. But if Tony isn't prepared, you make him unable to run and with out sheilds, perfect to crush with your hands. Call in another Spartan if possible- I can believe Iron Man getting lucky with one Spartan or if prepared, taking out one. Two make it far harder to stay at range and cover yourself. Tony realistically loses his only real advantage. So basically this is the Batman argument but with better nstrusl chances due to being able to fly indefinitely. Still say he (iron Man) loses most matchups. Sorry. A Spartan is just built to fight.
I can somewhat agree with Spartans beating everything else that was until the chief went up against the gaurdian. While chief will have the upper hand do to sheer experience in combat scenarios, chief really dosen't stand much of a chance against a space wizard that basically kills gods for fun
It's not just that, We know golden gun burns as hot as the sun, we know Arc striders and other Arc based light bearers can teleport, hell, Nova Bombs are essentially mini supernovas. It also depends on the Guardian, and class along with combat scenario. In a melee fight against a Titan, Chief ain't coming close.
A Spartan wouldn't be able to touch Ironman, especially when the latter is using the later iterations of the Ironman Armors. His arsenal and mobility alone would overwhelm them, and in later iterations of his armor, like Bleeding Edge, Extremis, Ultimate, he'd have more than the required strength to fight them toe to toe. If you want a more recent and relevant example, his MCU counterpart, with the Mark 50 and 85, the armors used in Infinity War and Endgame. If a Spartan could sidestep Cap's blows, he wouldn't have trouble fighting Brutes or Elites. I'm talking about in Lore, not just in-game. Once again, see the recent MCU films, though I'd argue that comic cap would be even stronger. If you pit Chief at his strongest against Cap at his strongest, Chief dies against the *real* Mjolnir. But setting aside most of your examples, your most egregious case is against Guardians. You're grossly underestimating what a Guardian is capable of. They aren't just given 'some gifts by the traveler', a Warlock would vaporize a Spartan instantly. And punch for punch, a Titan would break down a Spartan. Maybe a close match would be a Hunter, but the abilities they're granted allow them to avoid detection even by time-travelling robots. It's likely a Spartan wouldn't even see them coming until it was too late. And this is all before you take into account the vast arsenal that Guardians are immediately capable of summoning, literally from thin air, as well as their Supers, which would annihilate any Spartan. Ask yourself this, how many Gods has the Chief slain, and how many have the Guardians slain? And even if a Spartan could just punch a hole in a Guardian, you've forgotten the biggest issue of all. Injury and death do not stop Guardians. They'd just come back to life. I think you need to do some actual research on the series' you're pitting Halo's Spartans against, and this is coming from a long-time Halo fan. I don't know what the point of this video was, but it wasn't at all a proper analysis of how a Spartan would handle the characters you've brought up.
Because Tony Stark isn’t a ruthless killing machine like a Spartan. But if he had plot armor he would definitely put up a good fight maybe pull off a draw or even a win with plot convenience.
@@wesleywallace4426 Literally everything in a story only happens because the writer wants it to happen. You can't just call something "plot armor" and call it a day. It's only plot armor if it's unreasonable, and Iron Man beating a Spartan is in no way unreasonable.
The Adeptus Astartes (Space Marines in Warhammer 40,000) are one of the few sci-fi supersoldiers who almost certainly could beat a Spartan 1v1- and like Spartans, the rest of the universe is so powerful that they still can't beat enough of the Imperium's enemies.
the only advantage would still be spartan's reaction times, since space marines rely on genetic engineering for everything but their bones and black carapace while the Spartans have superconducting wire formed inside all the neurons outside the brain and the suit is connected directly to the brain. it wouldn't be much better than a space marine and not nearly enough to stand any chance, but still, they got one thing going for them at least.
The trouble of 40K is there is constant "nuh-uh my guys are better than yours!" 40K is THAT kid on the playground constantly changing the rules to stay on top of the hill
no, they're not overpowered, chief just has plot armor. Most of the spartan 2s are dead, they can stand toe to toe with sangheili, and have a LOT of trouble up close with jiralhanae. Now, here's the thing. While you have a point with the T-800 but with Iron Man, a spartan would have to stand up to a varied arsenal that includes energy weapons and iron man is assisted by an AI along with having a major edge in maneuverability. Not only this, but the suit augments the wearer's strength though not to the same degree as the MJOLNIR does. I don't know enough about the guardians to bring a counter, but the anthem javelins also have a mobility edge and have various abilities including electrical, which can short out the shields on a spartan and nail direct hits with homing rocket fire. A ranger could bring a spartan down with its shoulder-mounted missile barrage. Got a point with captain America, though cap has incredible reflexes himself, due to the super soldier serum, on par with a spartan 2 and with comparable strength [for example, cap can rip the door off of a WWII era car with minimal effort] to a spartan out of armor, if an unarmored spartan 2 were to face cap in a one on one fistfight, it would be a fairly even fight.
The Predator was one ive never thought of but it is intriguing. mainly because you are correct, in fact a spartan may actually terrify a yautja in practice.
A Spartan could manhandle a Yuatja to the point where they would be a boogeyman to them. It'd be a ridiculous mismatch. Akin to John Wick vs random goons
@@ericj6636 yeah i kinda figured as well. If S-II's were able to go toe to toe eith brutes i figure most anything aint safe. Shit halo has a lot of op shit, even on the human side when u really think about it. The reapers from mass effect for instance would be quite literally vaporized en masse just from plasma torpedos alone fired out of a ccs-class cruiser
I agree with alot of the characters you put the Spartans up against but I would still argue that there are some universes that could easily decimate a Spartan. Namely the Doom Slayer and almost any human soldier from Warhammer40k
Yeah, but DOOMSlayer and Warhammer40k shouldn't count for most vs because they're literally as Overpowered as they can get just for fun, Warhammer40k and DOOM can indeed beat a Spartan with ease, but they don't count because they're like god-tier level, and putting them against things that aren't godlike is just dumb.
@@Cardboard_Cut that's the thing in their universe but the here in our universe where all that magic and other bullshit doesn't exist...guess what they become..Thats the problem their fantasy is based off something that isn't possible and wont be unless it actually happens unlike a spartan where most of it would be fine here because its realistic and possible. @@yulfine1688 Fantasy isn't supposed to be possible. Spartans are pretty fucking unrealistic, even with tech from years ahead augmenting a human to give him the insane stats of a spartan just seems biologically impossible.
@@soupcake3092 biologically, possibly, but id say in 50 years max we will have some pretty advanced bionics capable of being much better than human bio parts, then its just turning a man into as much machine as possible. As far as MCU iron man goes, his ability to fly is an incredible advantage. I do still think he'd lose if he were using one of his earlier suits, but in the later movies he's pretty overpowered himself when compared to a Spartan. You also underestimate the abilities of guardians, who are essentially immortal and are practically god-killers with their absurd light based abilities.
True, but there are two caveats that need to be addressed with the Guardians: 1. They use their abilities usually line of sight, meaning if Chief can avoid the attack: they can avoid the magic death beams. 2. We’ve seen Guardians can be permanently killed by shooting their Ghosts, which a Spartan would figure out to do after a couple times, especially since enemies coming back to life when little things touch them.
I was actually discussing this with a friend who is a big destiny fan, now I don’t know shit about destiny lore so I’m just gonna trust his word here, can’t a guardian just use op space magic and revive when killed?
I agree Spartans are very powerful but they're not overpower to ridiculous amounts they fit their lore very well and overall yes they're not the most powerful beings in the Halo universe but compared to other universes yes they are extremely powerful And finally there not like space Marines for War hammer 40k or that are just ridiculous the overpowered and just stupidly overpowered
Exactly, they fit in the lore, that's more important than being OP. Because if we're doing another pointless OP race between heroes you can just put Saitama in here.
I think the lore of The Mjolnir especially Gen2/3 MKVII, with hardlight seeker shields. That are undepletable from small arms fire. The ability to fly and enter slipspace unscathed is overpowered personally. I doubt it’s going to be modelled in halo infinite though. Though I can imagine chief and Naomi. Kicking ass in overpower Mjolnir so expensive they could only make 1 suit of mkVII
Space Marines in the lore are not nearly as OP as many fanboys and writers make them out to be, yes they could easily best any S2 or S3 in combat but they aren't the godlike beings that many people make them out to be.
Id literally describe a basic Ultramarine as worth seven Spartan II's in combat, and im a halo-first person myself. Its just about how their lore demands different levels of power.
I think that Halo The Fall of Reach and Halo Legends show exactly how powerful Spartans and Elites really are. Elites are basically super fast and super strong samurai with energy swords that can basically cut through anything they touch. Pretty scary.
I would say the one franchise character who could kill SPARTAN IIs is any Astartes of WH40k. Those guys are post human and probably above Spartans as Spartans are above everyone else.
I'd argue guardians could win, since they are immortal and posses incredible wonder weapons as well as the immense destructive power of the light. One lucky burst from a fusion rifle or a couple hand cannon rounds could probably kill a spartan-ii, and a well aimed super or even melee/grenade could likely kill them in one hit. While the spartan can dodge pretty much all these attacks, it only takes one, and the guardian gets infinite attempts since they are immortal. And tbf guardian armour, while physically nothing special (by far future standards) becomes incredibly resilient when "empowered" with a guardian's light. Also, I wonder how a spartan would fare against the enemy races of destiny, after all they are quite similar to the species of the covenant in terms of natural strength. I reckon a spartan would wipe the floor with any eliksni lower than a captain, but a skilled captain could likey put up a fight as they would have physical strength similar to an elite and the skills to match. Not to mention two extra arms for cqc. A hive knight is basically a walking tank and could probably just shrug off anything a spartan with a standard arsenal could throw at it, however the lower forms of hive would be no match. The vex units would be quite a foe i think, a spartan might be able to break goblins and hobgoblins with a shot or punch to the juicebox, but the larger minotaurs or hydras would, again, shrug off all attacks and keep fighting forever with robotic ruthlessness. The cabal are actually kinda op. While they have no "magic" like the other races, they are huge, likely stronger than even brutes, and are all extremely well trained and armoured. I doubt a spartan could even beat a legionary in cqc, but would probably win if it had a high caliber sniper or just the element of suprise to pop through the armour. The only real reason guardians even stand a chance against the enemy races is becuase of their op weaponry and incredible resilience from the light. Not to mention immortality. whew that was a long one
I think we're kinda taking a page from death battle here - if you get killed, even if you can be revived in some way later, you still got killed and therefore lost
It all boils down to 1 question : are Spartans paracausal? If yes they would probs be the strongest beings in Destiny, but if not they would get deleted by the first major threat to come, besides maybe the Fallen and Cabal who don't have any powers tied to causality. Just imagine MC trying to kill Oryx, he'd probs obliterate him in the physical world but he just wouldn't be allowed to exist in Oryx's throne world, kinda the same deal with VoG
@@fly1ing891 How does that relate to the vs? Spartans are obviously not paracausal. But we know you don't need be in order to kill a Guardian(Still think a Guardian would stomp an Spartan though, even without any revives). This is a vs of Spartan vs Guardians, not Spartans vs Oryx/Atheon. They would obviously lose on that one because not even might and sheer strenght was enough for Guardians (who again, i believe are more powerful than Spartans), we needed the Aegis (that Kabr crafted before us) to defeat Atheon, and for Oryx we used the own corrupted light he had in our favor.
I think eventually the guardian would win but only after dying over and over and over again. Even the tian armor boils down to just a bit of plating compared to a spartan they would just be crippled and their arms would most likely not be nearly as effective against spartan armor than it is against their fellow guardians. So technically they win but only after dying a lot
There are only two special forces super soldiers that if you conpare stat for stat, modification for modification, speed for speed, and on down the list that are 100% a 50/50 shot on who would win are. The Astarte and Primari of Warhammer 40k
I don’t think a spartan could take down Iron man anywhere near as easily as you made it out. He shrugged off a direct tank shot in one of his earliest suits, far exceeding Spartan armor durability even in his earliest models
Plus flight, plus a larger arsenal of weapons that are better integrated into use with the suit than anything a Spartan has with their Mjolnir armour, and in later models the nanotech that can build new weapons and shields and self repair on the fly.

Iron man could definitely take a spartan. He simply has to many advantages. He can fly, he has far greater fire power, and his armor is made out of made up of metals that Marvel created and are far stronger than real metals. He also has IA in his suit so I assume that could help with his reaction time
But under the armor... Iron Man is just Tony Stark. a brilliant (but not augmented) human. he doesn't have the superhuman speed, strength and endurance that Spartans have which their armor amplifies by 4-5x, and Garvis vs Cortana isn't a fight that looks good for Tony

@@soupcake3092 that's what I mean you dont pair scifi fantasy with realistic scifi. You throw them both into realistic universe and all of a sudden things change. You also have to mention that 40ks lore is by no means stable. It jumps around more so than marvel and dc comics ever did it seems. It has its core lore that at least stands still but the rest is jumbled around for whenever they feel like it. Not to mention weapon wise the necrons using mini gauss weapons isnt impressive in fact it's very outdated since they preform similar to most other scifi weapons within that category only going above when the lore says so. I've done some pretty good research and while I enjoy 40ks over the top craziness sometimes. It's really not that good most of the time. It's too jumbled around and just changes itself to fit in any circumstance. You may as well call 40k shapeshifters. In any case I agree if you put a space marine against a spartan I'd imagine the space marine would win. Though just by going off crazy lore is not always the best idea...especially when the lore cant remain in one area and jumps around. If you could actually create them both and then throw them against eachother that would be interesting to see but we cant so rip. I mean that's trying to compare star trek and star wars. Once is much more scientifically accurate and possible the other cannon wise was meant just for fun and to be different. But legends wise it's all over the place and many things no longer even make sense or could be possible unless everything is star wars is the size of 20 of our suns or something which we know isnt the case.
Hate to burst your bubble but most of the sci fi isn't actually very realistic. You throw halo into our universe and slipdpace doesn't work, the scorpion is a garbage tank that barely holds together, the ships are terrible at manuvering in space, spartans are far weaker and most of the tech just doesn't work. I don't get what you mean by 40ks lore jumping around. There's a chunk of real old lore that was retconned and since then it's been quite internally consistent with the odd author making a mistake occasionally. Marvel and Dc however have multiple universes and shit. They have something like 5 different spiderman 5tv shows and 3 movie series that go back to square one, that's jumping around if i ever did see it. There's not really anything wrong with that though. Nevron gaus flares just vaporise people whole by tearing apart every atom in their body.
I can think of many things from many other fictional universes that are more powerful as solo combatants. I know of many characters or warriors in many stories that could in many ways crush, cut to pieces, shatter, incinerate, or even completely atomize spartans in an instant. The examples you used from a few mainstream fiction sources like star wars, destiny, marvel were cherry-picked.
Matchup 1: Yeah, he'd shred a terminator. 2: You seem to forget he has a lot of suits. The Godkiller suit can temporarily match Celestials, so it depends. On Tony being stupid enough to fight a spartan in Melee mainly but also on what suit he has. 3: Duh 4: again, duh 5: we don't know the lore capabilities of a guardian, so I'm not sure. 6: never played anthem 7: probably, they are basically Elites with different tools. 8: yeah he's doomed.
I’m going to have to disagree with you on a Spartan beating Iron Man, especially the comic and cartoon version of the characters. Atriox has beaten Spartan 2, and so have various Covenant. Iron Man is Marvel character and is from a universe with ludicrous superhumans and powerful entities.
The unclear thing is which Spartan we are talking about, i'm no Halo lore master but i'm pretty sure MC was "upgraded" by the Forerunners at some point, making him extremely overpowered. If you look at other Spartans they even look fairly weak sometimes
Don't hand the win over so easily. Spartans are still ridiculously op. Their reaction times alone would give iron man headaches. The amout of time Spartans need to react is significantly lower then what normal humans perceive as instantaneous. If Iron man decides to shoot at a Spartan-II the Spartan will be able to react before Mr. Stark has even realized that this gun has fired. From Iron Mans perspective it will literally seem like the Spartan is reacting before he has caused the reaction, that's how fast the spartans are. That's also why they have been seen dodging bullets. When it comes to strength: I doubt that any of the human sized Iron man Suits are significantly stronger than a Spartan in armor. If Chief can punch through a deck made of pretty thick battle plate, he can also rip Iron Mans limbs off. And for the big heavy hulk buster, If you consider the Spartans speed, it's just useless. In addition: If the Spartan is carrying a smart AI, they are effectively going to be able to out smart iron man at every turn. Depending on th specialization of that AI, this will also present a hole new danger. The Iron Man suit like any technologie can be subject to Cyber sabotage. (If its Cortana, RiP) The only real advantage Iron Man has, is that he can fly.

Well captain America is a Spartan without the armor technically. When it comes to predator you have to get a established predator and remember according to predators lore there as tall and strong as the brutes but alot smarter.
Minus the advance military training in tactics, weapons, and combat, and biologically enhanced "spartan time" reflexes. Strength? They might be close, but most Spartans that we know of would still tower over cap, and have practically unbreakable bones. None the less, it would be interesting to se show it would play out, as I still love both Halo and Captain America.
What you say is true Captain America is technically like a Spartan except without the armor. If Captain America had a Spartans armor that would even the playing field.
PackHunter117 true because there are predtors that are like atriox and taturus and the regular predators are strong like brutes but 100x smarter. 2nd remember when yo see predators like wolf from AVP requiem or that Elder predator from the AVP film those predators had to go through ah rite of passage where they have to fight 2 or 3 hives of aliens kill the Queens and return. Alot of times the predators that go through that do it with only wrist blades or a bow staff. So it would be a fight.
TheTAB01 remember in the comics captain America reflex and reaction time is on par with spartans and has the same military tactics as spartans. also, to mention captain America knows about 7 martail art styles and can adapt and learn and high rate. The thing with movies is that there limited and under power the alot of the marvel characters.

Indeed, there's really no substitute for steel in a lot of cases. What makes titanium and aluminum nice is that they can be 75% as strong as equivalent dimension steel for a third the weight. Where weight savings matters, you use them. Where it doesn't matter or you just can't sacrifice any strength, stick with steel. Aluminum and titanium are also significantly more brittle than steel, so making springs or sharp edges is mostly relegated to steel.
Technically, Stark's upgrade cycle is much faster than ONI's, so the next fight would go in his favor. As for Cap, he is the pinnacle of human development, much like the SPARTAN IIs, only he had a much better egghead in his corner than Halsey. Think about it: Halsey needed 6-year-olds and a series of excruciating treatments and surgeries in order to accomplish what Abraham Erskine managed to pull off with a single dose of super soldier serum and a tanning bed. As for a SPARTAN II in MJOLNIR armor, I think we've all seen by now what Cap can do with the real deal. All kidding aside though, I can't help but think that they would end up swapping war stories while they wrecked whatever alien fleet showed up at their doorstep that day. #117ISWORTHY

I think chief vs ironman is a lot closer than you think. Ironmans suit has taken missile hits from f22s, been hit with tank rounds, and punches from beings far stronger than chief. He can also move around and fly pretty quick when using his thrusters and has a pretty significant arsenal built into his suit. Tony himself might not be able to react to chief but his AI Jarvis/Friday can. Also, I'm pretty sure the ironman suit grants a higher level of super strength than mjolnir armor in the ball park of 100-150 tons for his normal suits.
only certain parts of the ships are titanium, some are steel and even aluminum and metal grates are very easy to hold onto considering they have holes in the that even a spartan could easily fit their fingers through And have not seen ANYWHERE NEAR what iron man is capable of just from the marvel movies he could ACTUALLY just rip chiefs head off if he wanted, armor and all. And if you are gonna be throwing in the pilots from titan-fall you gotta put their mechs in as well

I'd like to see how a Spartan would fare in the Warhammer 40K universe. I don't consinder them chanceless vs. an Astartes (contrary to other 40k-Fans). While similar in some aspects, I think that they would fill over all different roles than Space Marines. Instead of placing Spartans on the open battlefield, I think they'd likely serve best as inquisitorial operatives or in the Officio Assassinorum. Their reaction times, speed and advanced senses would fit perfectly in the roles of scouts, spec ops and assassins.
from my research I find Spartans mostly evenly matched with your standard space marine grunt but they lack the endurance factors and healing capabilities that space marines have they wouldn't be apart of a main compliments but defiantly taking the place of scout marines maybe even becoming a secondary option of becoming a standard space marine or a spartan. Dj Cuevas no samus would still get destroyed by space marines, she is not 40k standard of broken but still capable of Bitchslapping Spartans to the Next Universe. Samus can’t punch a normal human into a mist of blood or eat people to extract information.
I'm not familiar enough with the 40K universe to really compare, but Samus in her own universe is the equivalent of a Forerunner or Precursor running around in the main events of Halo. She's got a superhuman Chozo DNA infusion, her suit has transmutation/hardlight capabilities, and the energy manipulation capabilities are massive. Samus has access to technology so advanced that it looks like magic in a universe that's already very, very technologically advanced.

Then theirs the other races and Forces of Chaos.
for the guardians one: I think that's a tad bit of an oversimplification. Guardians are pretty much demigods, with the powers of the universe at their beck and call, and who pretty much cannot die as long as their ghost is around. With nigh-infinite ammunition, the ability to teleport in some cases, the ability to toss around supernova-powerful explosions, or the power of the literal sun - they wouldn't have much problem against a spartan. For Ironman: It depends on if we're looking at animated, comics, or MCU. In the comics, Ironman completely and utterly would dominate the spartan, just look at his endosym suit. In the animated series, Ironman'll still likely win because his tech, speed, and strength all so heavily outweigh a spartan it's like looking at a chevvy corvette vs an 18 wheeler in a demolition derby. Yeah one can likely maneuver better and for a while outrun the 18wheeler, the outcome's in the 18 wheeler's favour no matter what happens. Ironman's energy shields, weapons, and speed all outmatch a spartan. In the MCU, Ironman's dodged tank shots, fought the hulk to a standstill, can summon dozens of other suits out of nowhere, can break the mach barrier with ease, has dozens of weapons, and so on. For Cap: Look at the ironman one again. In the comics and animated universe, he's got ironman suits all given to him, which put him at the tech level of stark, with the skill of cap. in the MCU, yeah no he's kinda fucked.

Spartans can punch you with more force in PSI than they weigh while in their armour
(Which can be up to 2.5 tonnes)
you just compared weight with pressure. i see someone fell asleep during high school physics
Technically no psi means per square inch. Usually measured in pounds but can be measured in tons if there's enough force. That is unless you use metric then its kilos.

@@Cha-Khia Heresy
I love both universes. Seemingly a Space Marine would win, but a Spartan can win. They're not far apart, except for the armor. It's an interesting matchup that deserves thought for a plausible outcome.
@@PlagueRiddenBlightSpawn it's be a great match up
@@Cha-Khia you also have to understand that while yes the Guard are baseline or lightly augmented they are literally the best soldiers their planet has to offer.

The Doom marine/Doom Slayer would probably be a solid match for a Spartan 2... though he and 117 would probably just become best friends/drinking buddies given their accomplishments.
the doom slayer would rinse a Spartan, theres a good video by hiddenxperia explaining it
Doom Slayer would be a match for a PRIMARCH, let alone a Spartan
That's an entirely different level of OP.
@@setojurai Doom slayer can't match a prim primarch
I can think of other universes where they are indeed overpowered but the universe has means to defeat them with ease.
for the clone commando do you mean one odst vs a squad or a single one
One v One.
I would say that a guardian would beat a spartan considering they hold the powers to defeat quite literaly gods, which they havedone both in games annd in lore
Reploids from Megaman? Combat body types. Remove the no human killing rule.
a Spartan can wreck a T800 as terminators are a full frontal brute force fighter. Not so sure if it was a T-X model
Hulkbuster is powerful but designed to take on the hulk not a intelligent, trained, adaptive and agile opponents.
Spartans aren't that overpowered compared to forerunner infantry( not those recyclable robots we know as promeathans)
@@MilkyH12 but The didact was using a 16 combat skin and chief a 3 combat skin? If chief was using a 16 CS The didact would be dead.
I do agree Spartans handle most of these fights and come out on top I think there's just too many factors you aren't concidering.
loverofjesusMKII I think there’s factors you aren’t considering
For example: when master chief is armed with the 14.7cal anti matterial sniper rifle "Capable of taking an elites head off at 2000 yards."
@@fly1ing891 yeah, sure the warlocks and hunters have "light" armor, but the Titans are basically Spartans but with space magic

a lone spartan after mowing through an entire legion of covenant forces: "that doesn't sound right"
Why i hate halo sumed up in one comment wow great job👏
*@Installation00* would love to hear your take on the Brute species. I feel like the Halo community takes for granted how insanely powerful they are. One can easily make an argument they have more business in superhero comics than a sci-fi universe mostly grounded in reality
I read a few forum threads about them... I feel sorry for the Human forces that had to fight them tbh
Supers no. More efficient than human muscles plus massive size, yes
brutes...are scary since they are able to apply god who knows how many pounds of force to crush bend flatten and break the titanium composite in halo which by the way is a multitude times stronger than standard titanium which requires a ridiculous amount of force already.
Kinetic energy is related to mass and energy by:
E=1/2mv^2
This means that the energy increases quadratically with velocity.

Compared to what? Sized properly so everything fits, the Infinity is bigger.
-this goes on for a long time-
As a lore nerd for 40k and Halo, here's a rebuttal to all of those:
1. 'What about a Spartan Laser?'
- A lascannon is the better equivalent, and its still more powerful and more common.
2. 'What about my superhuman reaction time?'
- No contest, both on equal footing.
3. 'Who's stupid enough to eat poison?'
- When you run out of rations and have to rely on unknown food sources, we'll see who's laughing now. Astartes have more sustainability.
4. 'If I don't shoot your unarmored head first.'
- The only ones who don't have helmets are those who have either a) a different form of protection (hello, Iron Halo), or b) can actually take headshots and fucking live (i.e. Primarchs like Fulgrim in 'Angel Exterminatus), so this point is moot. And besides, one shot to the body is still easier than one to the head, which the bolter can do and most UNSC weapons can't.
5. 'I never take off [my helmet].'
- Irrelevant to the argument.
6. 'I have a plasma sword.'
- Depending on source, it is generally regarded that power swords are sheathed in an energy field the same way as an energy sword, so it's more even than you think.
7. 'Have you seen my bubble shield/armor lock?'
- Yes, but a Spartan has to stand still to use either. Space Marines don't.
8. ' But you still need a pod. Guess who doesn't?'
- Might literally be the only advantage Spartans have over Space Marines.
9. 'And I don't? There is Blue Team and Noble Team if you want proof. We just don't need to.'
- The stuff Spartans face in Halo are infinitely weaker than those of a Space Marine.
Sized properly so everything fits, the Infinity is bigger.'
- Actually, the Infinity is only stated as being 5.7 kilometers, just barely bigger than the average 5 kilometer long Lunar-class cruiser of the Imperial Navy, the _standard_ line ship of the Imperium of Man
So, in short, the Spartan is still fairly outclassed. I like to think of the Spartans as an ancient stepping stone of the Space Marines. The same way the flintlock is an ancient stepping stone of the M16 assault rifle.

Spartans reaction time is 0.02 seconds, punch force PSI of 2.5 tons, an absurdly strong energy shield being able to withstand multiple shots of literal superheated plasma (Which is a lot more powerful than Iron mans weapons) The existence of the Spartan Laser, which is iron mans attacks on steroids injected with even more steroids, jetpacks, visual acuity literally in the 80's, etc etc etc
Not only is a Spartans reaction time so fast they can literally see/dodge bullets But can also even punch a hole in Tony's armour, even if it didn't, the stopping power alone could literally melt organs and pulverize bone
But here are what each side can do to help themselves win:
Iron Man:
EMP- though the Spartan can still move with their armor off. All I think this really achieves is destroying the sheild.
Stay in the air far away. -hard to punch something a few stories above you
Move rapidly, possibly with the assist of an auto pilot programed to stay at range of the spartan-will likely fail but may buy time.
Spartan-
Be a Spartan 2 or 3.
Here’s the thing when it comes to movies like marvel and dc there is nobody who can beat spartans
Fuck you
Melted Earth0015 well that’s real polite
Thank you for being actually intelligent
Because Tony Stark isn’t a ruthless killing machine like a Spartan. But if he had plot armor he would definitely put up a good fight maybe pull off a draw or even a win with plot convenience.
@@wesleywallace4426
Literally everything in a story only happens because the writer wants it to happen.
Actually space marine reaction speed is in nanosecond
And their power armor is in sync with their mind
I another words their arnomr is second skin
no, they're not overpowered, chief just has plot armor.

True, but there are two caveats that need to be addressed with the Guardians:
The most impressive thing is the a.i. connected to the spartan.

And finally there not like space Marines for War hammer 40k or that are just ridiculous the overpowered and just stupidly overpowered
"Spartans are overpowered but perfectly balabced in their own universe"
Space marine and mobile infantry: "welcome to the club kid"
Space marines aren't overpowered at all though, they operate on autist physics. Like all of 40K.

Nerdy Nachos Actually a lot of stuff from Halo is realistic lol, and actually possible. Except slip space ,but come on that’s one thing.

That's also why they
have been seen dodging bullets.
When it comes to strength:
I doubt that any of the human sized Iron man Suits are significantly stronger than a Spartan in armor.
If Chief can punch through a deck made of pretty thick battle plate, he can also rip Iron Mans limbs off.
And for the big heavy hulk buster, If you consider the Spartans speed, it's just useless.
In addition:
If the Spartan is carrying a smart AI, they are effectively going to be able to out smart iron man at every turn.
Depending on th specialization of that AI, this will also present a hole new danger. The Iron Man suit like any technologie can be subject to Cyber sabotage.

The strongest titanium alloy currently is only as strong as mid tier steel.

I mean, they're called Spartans for a reason. And give Cap 5 centuries and he would've been a Spartan
I had someone try to convince me that covenant boarding parties wouldn't be effective against (Star Wars) imperial ships because storm troopers are superior to the covenant forces. Which is like, what!? The covenant have personal shields active camo and 12ft tall Gorillas capable of effortlessly ripping you in half.
Gorillas that, as of Halo 3, have power armor, personal shielding, and active camo.
I like how you didn't mention a WH40K Space Marine in your comparison...
It's almost as if he didn't want to mention anything even remotely more powerful... As if Spartans aren't actually that powerful...
only certain parts of the ships are titanium, some are steel and even aluminum and metal grates are very easy to hold onto considering they have holes in the that even a spartan could easily fit their fingers through
And have not seen ANYWHERE NEAR what iron man is capable of just from the marvel movies he could ACTUALLY just rip chiefs head off if he wanted, armor and all.
And if you are gonna be throwing in the pilots from titan-fall you gotta put their mechs in as well
just wait till you hear about Astartes from 40k. Even the average unnamed Astartes would have no issue beating even the Master Chief, and for a Primarch it would be like swatting a troublesome fly.
space marines are overrated/they are supersoliders because everything else is ww1 level tech in halo they would be Elite level enemy
@@michaelhamar3305 Lol no, Astartes are just as fast if not faster, much stronger, and even harder to hurt than Spartans even in full Mjolnir. And bolters aren't just an assault rifle, the bolts are explosive. And "everything else" in the 40k galaxy is just as overpowered, everything in that universe is off the charts. It's not even a fair fight.
@@bjornancraite2266 axaxxaxaxa
ok
Spartans can fit well within the raven guard space marine chapter or the white scars, chapters that just don't yolo dive into enemy lines would probably be best.
@@lumpeistbark3 Raven Guard or Raptors are great fits! I also had the impression that Astartes are generally tankier. The greatest problem would be the Warp, as I don't see them having a defense against that apart from willpower, which they certainly have. Bringing an AI into the 40K universe, having it integrated into your armor and being mentally linked to it (like Master Chief) is be a horrible idea though.
@@Cognitohazzard
Eh , I find them to be mostly equal in the durability department but that's just my opinion, yeah they have no defense against warp powers or entities so they would need to stay clear or risk alot of threats. And most spartans don't really have smart AI like Cortana, so the ban that 40k have on them won't really be to major of a deal.
@@lumpeistbark3 Spartans are generally on par with the average Astartes physically. What fucks them over greatly is standard Astartes weapons shit all over most UNSC standard weapons. They'd have to use Promethean knight weapons and tech to have a chance but even then compared to the rarer and higher end Astartes stuff like Volkites or even just mastercrafted gear they may not be comparable.
What about Spartan vs 40K Space Marine?
no spartan vs space marines? or spartan vs warframes? HERESY!!!
Or the nanosuit.
@@markss367 not the suit but the prophet is definitely better than Spartan, but space Marines are just tanks with slow speed compared to prophet and chief
Neither of them are in here because they straight up disprove his point. Why would he address two other Super Soldiers that at baseline are better than Spartans in a video designed to yank off Spartans?
@@basudebsarkar5487 Space Marines routinely swat Hypersonic projectiles out of the air like they’re flies, move so fast standard humans can’t see them move, and view the world in perpetual Spartan Time.

I noticed you didn't bring up the matchup between Space Marines and Spartans. What is your opinion on it?
If he brought up Space Marines he would've had to retract his point.
@@mr.congeniality8803 nope he simply forgot that
i admit id love to see a spartan vs generic 40k space marine in and out of armor, their both designed to kill anything they come across and are basically at the limits of what could still be considered human
By lore a fully srmored Spartan is a match for a naked Astartes. The Space Marines power armor is leagues above the abilities of Mjolnir. Not to mention Astartes themselves are WAY more augmented than a Spartan. A literal decades worth of augmentation just to maje a basic Astartes.
Man in the Black Hat not to mention astartes aren’t even the greatest super solider
Primarchs
Thunder warriors
Primarias
They would Yeet Spartans
Yeah i know all that but it would be utterly amusing to watch
@No Subs na its more 400 to 500 years old, dante is around 1100 but then again you also have bjorn whose atleast 10000 as he was around the same time as russ whose his fates tied to. but putting anything bigger than an astartes against a spartan is overkill, hell even an astartes scout might be alittle more fair
@@lucifer13633 Your both wrong the average astartes only has around a century or two of experience. They very rarely live long enough to reach those levels.
Guilliman: Marneus, get the Codex. The Heavy Codex...
Brutes are so strong and yet Miranda Keyes put on down with a single shotgun blast lol. With power armor on too
Shotguns are OP.
A Spartan beats a Destiny guardian? You have to be joking. You really have to be joking. It’s not even a fair matchup in the first place because one has literal MAGIC lmao. But if you were to compare them, how exactly does a spartan beat a Guardian? They’d just fire a golden gun from 100 yards away or fling a nova bomb from 100 yards away or throw a flaming hammer from 100 yards away and call it a day lol. No “outmaneuvering” could avoid the blast radius of those abilities. Possibly a Spartan could avoid the golden gun shots but highly doubtful considering all it takes is one hit. The only way a Spartan could win is maybe if you set some rules beforehand like no use of magic, so just a pure physical strength/speed contest, but saying a Guardian loses outright just doesn’t make any sense
Especailly against Titans in arc. Not to mention the weapons guardians wield.
I do think a Spartan would lose to Samus Aran.
You could put every spartan to ever exist against samus aran and she would destroy them all. It's not an exaggeration to say she's not only a match but even a superior to Primarchs. She is a one woman astartes legion.
Samus has access to technology so advanced that it looks like magic in a universe that's already very, very technologically advanced.
cloudcleaver23 everything is silly powerful, Phalanx Is Moon size Mobile Weapons Platform that is basically the Chapter monastery for the Imperial Fist Space Marines chapter. Some Space Marines and normal humans can be psychers (space wizards), massive 100ft tall titans which can destroy entire armies, and fleets of ships that can destroy planet, And that’s not everything for the Humans. Then theirs the other races and Forces of Chaos.
I think it's pretty much universaly accepted that Samus would, in fact, obliterate a Spartan.
I respectfully disagree about Ironman. Ironman has too much firepower
for the guardians one:
I think that's a tad bit of an oversimplification.
For Ironman:
It depends on if we're looking at animated, comics, or MCU.
For Cap:
Look at the ironman one again. In the comics and animated universe, he's got ironman suits all given to him, which put him at the tech level of stark, with the skill of cap.
in the MCU, yeah no he's kinda fucked.
“Spartans are overpowered!”
Space Marine: “No you’re f**king not.”
"Spartan are overpowered"-
Space Marines punches in gaming chief's face with full strength which is about FRICKIN 8000 PSI and says before chief is KIA: No you're f**king not!!!
Chief comes in real life and punches in that space Marines head with 20mili second reflex accuracy with 25,000 PSI....
Chief : say that again, FAT GUY,
Space Marine: the body parts of space Marine is all over the place....
The Spartan program is amazing for sure. These warriors are pretty powerful across other franchises. But not the strongest. On many occasions there have videos comparing two warriors to the chief and chief was woefully out gunned. Metroid (Samus Aaran) and Doom (Doom Slayer). I personally live the chief but while they are very powerful Spartans are not OP. You want OP just turn to Doom Slayer. Once you bring down a monster bigger than a skyscraper with your bear hands then you get the title of OP. OH he didn't even have his armor at this point.
Brian Tolliver Doom Slayer is a literal god and Samus is science fi on steroids halo tries to be relatively realistic.
Oh my god, stop, stop with the Doom slayer wank, he’s not that impressive at all, especially compared to the Spartans. Doom slayer is no where near a god, nor Demi-god. He used a sword, and killing something as large as a skyscraper doesn’t really imply the strength of the being. It could be slow and easily avoidable, and plus it too Doom Slayer and EXTREMELY large amount of time to do so.
SLATSMODE 254 Hold yo bro you don’t know doom lore do you?
isac Clarke I do, not as much as I know Halo lore, though. I will admit. Would you like to settle this through an argument or are you just as incapable of Halo lore as you seek me out to be in Doom lore?
SLATSMODE 254 Nah I know about Halo Lore been playing and reading halo books since 2001, but it’s facts that 2016 doom Slayer is so much stronger than a Spartan that it’s not even close comparing the lore has nothing to do with this. In fact you not knowing doom lore is the reason why your ignorant to this fact bro bro. Doom Slayer is a literally a God lol. Master Chief is not a god two simple things.
