Every time I see this performance I’m just in awe of her energy, stunning dance moves, choreography, just sheer stamina. She took live concert performances to a new level with Blond Ambition.
@@awordfrompresidentpat1985It came out in the late 80s after her Blonde Ambition tour ended. In one scene she and her dancers & backup singers play the old game, Truth or Dare, so the film is named for that scene. But that's just a brief glimpse into her circle at that time. The whole documentary is very interesting. And it has aged well,.
@@musestudio7075 It's spelled Blond Ambition. Madonna dropped the letter e to make the word masculine. Blond Ambition Tour was in 90 and Truth or Dare documentary was released in 91. 😘
Blond Ambition tour revolutionized the concerts at the time. She quite single-handedly created the concert format we have today. Still one of the best concerts ever.
You have to remember that this tour changed the game. Nobody was doing anything like this back then. Singing, dancing and telling a story all at the same time. It was like a rock/pop concerts and a Broadway musical was smashed together and had a baby. I was lucky enough to see this tour in Detroit and it was an emotional rollercoaster. People did not leave that stadium the same. She took you on a journey. Still to this day nobody comes close to what she still does. love your reactions and love that you have for our 💃👸
@@dalee72 I was in the seats just off the floor, almost to the side of the stage. At some point we could see her going up some steps on the side of the stage. It was very exciting. At her Girly show Tour I was on the floor standing next to the sound mixers. Saw a lot of her management team. I could almost reach out and touch them. I was losing my mind. Lol.
This concert is from 1990. This version taken from Truth or Dare is missing the dance break where she does the Roger Rabbit and the Running Man and a high kick in the middle of the performance. It was edited out for the sake of the documentary's running time which you should check out from her other Express Yourself performances from other cities. And this performance was shot in Paris and there was the voice over that said "Alright America!" which was dubbed over in the editing studio because she greeted each city she played by their name. You should check out her other Blond Ambition Tour concerts from Yokohama, Houston, Los Angeles, Toronto, NJ, Barcelona and Nice France.
Wow Madonna puts so much passion into her performances when she dances, but it’s also so elegant and precise, and it fits the song perfectly ! I mean I never get the feeling I get when I see other performers, when I think they’re always doing the same dance routines they have. It seems Madonna always innoves and makes new routines. What a body of work ! Respect ❤️
This was actually performed 1990 as the tour ended August 1990 - 1991 was when the concert Laserdiscs and also "In Bed With Madonna" documentary about the tour (called "Truth or Dare" in US) were released. What you've seen is an edited short version of the performing from the film documentary that lacks a bit of the song an amazing dance section in the middle. Her documentary became at the time the Most Grossing Documentary of all time. It still is the second Most Grossing Music Documentary of All time (#01 is now "This Is It", the posthumous documertary that came out a couple of months after Michael Jackson passing).
Oh wow. Thanks so much for the insight. I do remember seeing some news footage as kid about that your. It was EVERYWHERE. But, I already knew how amazing Madonna was even as a kid. Her impact was greater than a lot things on TV. She’s always gonna be a Queen to me.

Her whole Blonde Ambition tour was spectacular. She made a great documentary of it called 'Truth or Dare". Highly recommend. 👌💝
Oh yeah. That’s what the “Truth or Dare” is as from???? Wow. I definitely want to check that out. Thank you!!!

Queeeen!!!
This was a great reaction! Can y’all checkout the new official music video to Nick Nittoli “hype” or “Find yourself” by him next ??
I see some Lady GAGA in those dance moves!!
Gaga has said that Madonna is one of her influences and inspirations.
Great reaction, sadly this is the edited version that made it into the Truth or Dare movie and was missing part of the middle of the performance.
The person who gave thumbs down…. Purge…
You can see a lot of @ladygaga here, dance moves, recycled. Ohhhh I hope Gaga Got her Money back!
@@marsfire8281 1990. I agree. Madonna should be the one getting her royalties from Gaga.
