one of the best parts about this show is the character progression, and how each character is written. Especially watching how each child grows, and how family dynamics adapt
Eric Stonestreet is actually straight, but his acting and character has gotten a lot of positive response from the gay community. Also the daughter was later changed to another older actress.
The actress playing baby Lily was changed to a different baby/toddler, but I think all (or almost all?) of the clips we see here of toddler Lily are the same actress as the older Lily, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.
Lily was originally played by infant twins Ella and Jaden Hiller in seasons 1 & 2. But the parents decided they didn’t want to do that anymore so didn’t want to return for season 3. The producers recast Lily with the 4 year old Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, who remained in the role through to the conclusion. So it seemed weird like Lily aged too fast from season 2-3 but everyone else and other children stayed the same age.
Eric Stonestreet (who plays Cam, the heavyset guy) is not gay. And interestingly enough he worked as a standup comedian at the same time Bobby Lee was starting out, so they are still friends and he's been on Bobby's podcast TigerBelly at least once. Of course Modern Family made him (and the rest of the cast) insanely rich.
@@willvr4 Okay, well the last time he was on TigerBelly was over three years ago and I was just working from memory. But everything I said was right except that he was a comedic actor rather than a standup.
The actor who plays Cam said he was inspired by acting like his Mother to get his mannerisms and speech patterns for the character of Cam. The Actor who plays Mitch the red haired guy is gay and has a husband and the actor who plays Cam is straight and has a wife.
Eric Stonestreet (Cam) is actually very straight. I remember him on the Howard Stern Show(shock jock radiohost) agreeing to meet a female fan for .... uhmm ... ya know! lol
I know that Cam is straight in real life from the family guy parody "Brian is just mad cause he has to be the lady one" i.e. Cam "Which makes you the one who is gay in real life " i.e. Mitchel
@@KH-aug I didn't know that, that's pretty crazy. I don't have an issue with their sexuality but for the longest time I honestly thought Stonestreet was his cam in real life he nailed the role

I definitely disagree. I couldn’t get into those two. Nick Offerman and Aubrey Plaza are awesome though and Chris Pratts character is funny I just didn’t like the overall writing of the show. 30 rock I really can’t stand.
if you are in fact blood related to a Native American is what he did technically offensive? I honestly can't tell if it is alright or stepping over a line?
I don’t understand the point of reacting to moments rather than more of the show. You are missing some character development and context that makes some of this better.
That is a weird thing to say... I'm pretty sure your stereotype comes from decades of Posh English media we got in the states. I would like to see you say that to a Royal Marine's face.
@@9876babyboyyoung Millennials and GenZ have it in for Cam and Mitch (mostly Cam) because they lie to each other, are manipulative, hide things from each other, etc. You know, they're essentially humorless and don't seem to understand that comedy is a ridiculous exaggeration and distortion. 🤷🏼♀️Most of all, that it's not real.
The actor that plays Cam is not gay. He said he just played his mother in the show.
Yes. I saw an interview with him and he thinks it’s hilarious he was a school football star and now plays gay.
I saw him in some show or movie. Can’t remember what it was but he was playing like an enforcer and it was so weird.

Surprised they didn’t like this comment considering it answer one of their questions…hm

@KH-aug All those clips in this vid are of the Hiller twins. Aubrey was cast when she was 4, the age change was very noticeable.

I was just going to post something like that. Yeah, the show has alot of background to it. From the real actors.

Not falling into the Modern Family rabbit hole. Before you know it you're 8 episodes in and wasted the whole day .. 😂
I'm here by accident but I just want to say one thing: Sophie is really lovely! Or as you would say "luvle". 😉

Cam in not gay. He is in fact a massive Kansas City Chiefs fan and played high school football. (He is from Kansas City area).
Gay people can/do watch and play football too lol
If I remember correctly, he also did do a clown gig and grew up on a farm.
Gay people like football too, you know. Here is a shocker, they play it also.
