PLEASE keep going!! This content keeps people curious and imaginative like Grant did! I know the viewership will come back and keep growing! No one is doing it like you guys are right now just like no one did it like Grant did back in the day. ❤
I've seen bigger ones. The Hacksmith made one that broke the polycarbonate/acrylic casing that they'd used as well as bent and/or broke some of the welds on the frame
This has got to be the best video you guys have done since I've started watching your vids !! Extremely cool and thank you for taking the time with the editing as that's a huge pain lol, but again extremely cool video ! Gonna be hard to top this one 🤣🤣
NERF modder, here: we usually make our barrels out of 17/32nds brass, but you have to make sure to use darts with the heads smaller around than the foam body of the dart. You can also add a PVC Y section and a ball valve to make a reloadable tube magazine. Actual Hasbro (and most aftermarket) darts are 12.7mm diameter, so if you're making it with PVC, you'll have to find a source of PVC with proper 1/2in. inner diameter...so bring a dart with you when you go get your plumbing supplies. Have fun!
I wonder how it would react to a fine flammable powder like corn starch or powdered milk being in the chamber. I bet it would disperse and ignite it to produce a stronger blast.
You should have written down the amount of gas you used because the mixture of gas and oxygen is very important. That’s why sometimes the power is stronger with shorter time when gas is released
Two notes. One, you killed the solar screen!!! Two. The reason it keeps blowing off, is you are letting the pressure grow, in that final chamber, before trying to neck it down again. If you had used a simple tube, the back would not have blown off as the pressure would have stayed the same all the way to the end.
Man that GTech Industries guy sounds smart. If only Jake had been in contact with him when he was using 3" diameter pvc... it's almost like he did the research already... Lol great vid you guys are making TKOR great again.
I totally thought the guy in the thumbnail was bo burnham for a split second because he is who i was looking for and now i definitely want to see him in a skit with all kinds of neat toys like this...
i did litterally all of the exact same things 2 years ago on an air cannon, multi barrel, ping pong balls, clip. however on my design, it was the clip cap that flew off and tried to kill people
I did this years ago with propane. I shot unmodified nerf darts through soda cans. Video on my channel. Mine was more like a traditional spud gun scaled down.
There's no such thing as an over Rich mixture when you are using the propane torch with the tip on it. It injects air into the system and you get exactly the same amount of gas and air no matter how long you push it for
Going to do something with a 55 gallon barrel, no lid. A timer for approximately midnight every night on my property. The neighbors don't deserve to sleep with all the stuff they have stolen from me.
If you don't want to blow up the back of the object, you need a hole in the barrel of the object to relieve excess pressure in the barrel tube. The hole is placed on the side of the Place the barrel closer to the explosive tube, don't place it at the end of the barrel
Just put a couple of screws to hold the back cap in place -should make a great Noise Cannon for the 4th and New Years with no reducer just straight 4 inch barrel.
You broke the fresnel lens......NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! The god of destroying things with sunlight is displeased... Side note: you could glue everything together to prevent parts from flying off but incorporate some form of more controlled emergency pressure release.
@@TheKingofRandom they make clear PVC it’s just more expensive because of being clear can even get it down to 1/8” id pipe just not at any local box store but McMaster car has it
That's a real weapon.
Somebody should make one that looks steampunk.
Why make it look steampunk, when you could make an actual steampunk blaster? Use the steam pressure to accelerate a projectile.

Now THATS a near deaf experience!!!!
First reply!
I will just state that for the "backfire" issue I would have screwed into it with some o-rings for a seal. Metal rods to keep it from releasing.
I wouldn't seal anything, !!!
5:50 bro counted 5 mississipi 7 mississipi😂
....
That’s because he’s from Mississippi
@@DNice337 because he is from mississipi he counts 5, 7, 8?
Broke my ankles getting to the comments to see who else noticed XD

"How about we try 6?"

You could put a marshmallow barrel on it. It could toast the marshmallow

Oh we should've tried that -Jake

Thats why we were counting seconds. 4 seconds of gas vs 15 seconds of gas. It never gave any sort of consistent results - Jake
Make TKOR great again!

The bloopers are awesome
There's a reason they put short actors on apple boxes
Love the bloopers 😂
go glad to see tkor turning back to its track
“ I’m like 90%sure it would work without blowing its self apart”
Where did the original people go

It's a whole "thing"
There was only one original person and he passed away in a paragliding accident.

Next time use metal pipe welded together

I like to see the bearded dude with blades coming out of his knuckles like the Logan's claws from the X-Men.
He would look awesome.
The modern-day Mutt and Jeff :)
Long live Grant Thompson❤️
A little late brah...

I like these guys. So fun, so random. Like when Grant was here.
This guy is if Rhett and Link had a baby.
Are you going for the Joe dirt look?
Its like great value good mythical morning, with science and more "thats dope"

Man Grant would have LOVED this
Could you do dual barrel with different fuling setups so you coukd fire twice in quick succession (or at the same time)?
OK... I want the same but with the look of a bolter... Scratch that... A PLASMA-GUN from Warhammer 40K ! 😁
Dang! This is fantastic!
This is what was missing...
Looks like TKOR, but feels like old-school MR with jason energy
Might be fun/interesting to combine a plasma coil blaster with a vortex blaster (though with a smaller combustion chamber, perhaps).
I need to try this - Jake
In the car world... we say, Lean is Mean..
Apart from exploding the back off, is there an noticable recoil for the standard plasma coil?
Little bit. It's like a air blaster, fires a bunch of air forwards - Jake
What about 2sec or 1sec or fully auto?
You need to film this with the Slo-Mo Guys.
would have added a a few air holes because now its just gas

Nice plasma gun, GREAT HAIRCUT!!!!
Curls and mullet back with another build that's gonna get someone hurt...
I know what i need for my airsoft tank now.
Put some screws in the back to keep it from popping off
That reminds me of Ironman's ion propulsers. Delayed energy weapon.
Yeah, this is really cool. I saw NighthawkNlight do the same project like about a year ago(?). You guys have a cool adaptation.
So is Jake kind of basically the 2nd host with Jarom he's been in the last 3 or 4 videos so I'm just curious
is it hard to use glue and screws :(
Some glue on the Fittings and a hose barb fitting for the hose would make this thing way cooler
Couldn’t you glue both sides? Then it maybe wouldn’t fly out the back?
Rip the real king
Just put a couple of screws to hold the back cap in place -should make a great Noise Cannon for the 4th and New Years with no reducer just straight 4 inch barrel.
If Nick Offerman and Rhett from Rhett and Link are looking for their missing DNA samples, i think i found them in the guy on the left
That could make a perfect RPG
Why didn't you secure the back cap? I can see multiple things in that shop that could do it.
Put some screws in the fittings to keep it from exploding
Now pump pure o2 into the chamber with a 15 second charge
my good sir that is called a bomb - Jake
7:48 he counted 18 Mississippi 14 Mississippi 15 Mississippi😂😂
Glue the back on
We were worried that might just cause the chamber to literally explode. The back flying off was like a safety valve - Jake
That back cap needs fixing and remote test it 😂😂😂
Reminds me, vaguely, of a gause rifle from fallout
I never realized how short carrot top is
Maybe it is the shrooms I ate but the taller guy's hair and beard are tripping me out. Anyone else notice the one guy looks just like Heath Ledger??
yeah, i've suggested jarom cosplay the joker for a halloween special
or they form a crime fighting duo named "joker and mullet"
NOOOOOO! Not the solar scorcher!
Right?! It was the largest fresnel lens I could find… and it’s gone… -Jarom

....naw going make a gauss cannon then 😂
So its like a fire shotgun? ( Also rip grant thompson ❤❤ )
I might try this on my channel. Been wanting to for a while.

Why is it only weapons lately? Need to dust off the freeze dry machine.
Grant showed me how to make rocket fuel
Question, why all the spirals?
It looks awesome
@@TheKingofRandom Amen brother
Are we back?
Yes, we are! -Jarom
5:55 the guy is counting and forgets the number six
i mean...why didnt we use the same giant hose clamps on the fitting in the back? that seems like the most logical solution...
Now TKOR is back to making content somewhat similar to Grant's content
Havnt watched TKOR since nate left. Who are these guys?
If it is made of acrylic then it is NOT PVC .
Jake has to be Nick Offermans son wth
Fitting Flys apart and zero evidence of glue. Then surprised when it Flys apart again🤷♂️ should of been glued to stay together
This was a pretty fun video
12:56 true.
So don’t hold the thing that could explode 😂 especially in front of you
shhhhhhh
Maybe just maybe don some safety equipment before testing
5 Mississippi 7mississippi bro forgot how to count

You have the glue, why don't you just glue the back
It creates alot of pressure

You certainly can, but anything more powerful gets dangerous with PVC pipe
