Well, that's the story when the characters grew out of high school, not when in high school. Btw, these stories are told from high schoolers perspective.
That’s because authority figures keep on repeating to kids in high school : ‘’the level of popularity and success you have now will define you for the rest of your lives’’ and that is a horrible thing to say to kids - besides being completely untrue. The unpopular kids in high school usually become the most intelligent, interesting and creative people, and the most popular ones in high school end up completely boring, uninteresting and immature individuals.
For real, I’m 17 right now, and throughout high school I barely did shit. I was so nervous in eighth grade but it was over nothing. Just more of the same, with a little more freedom, and a little more pressure on doing stuff for college.
I feel like they should focus more one college, because I feel thag it shapes you as a person way more there, but then it'd be harder to include all of the stereotypical troupes that way.

My only problem with Raymond is that when he sees Aquamarine as a mermaid off the pier he runs away, yelling at her to stay out of the current as waves are pulling her away to get his surfboard leaving Hailey and Claire to rescue Aqua and confess they love her. Yet Raymond is a lifeguard and rescues Claire when she falls in the pool. He only shows up on his board after the girls have saved Aqua and accepted her as a mermaid and they kiss but he left her to get pulled away by her dad. He is a bit of a coward but he says he likes her and their close dance. He is kind of a bad guy at that point because he leaves 2 teenage girls to rescue his love interest. But I'm glad it was the girls but it sucks Raymond didn't save her. But I seriously don't like Cecilia. She is a psycho. I don't know if you noticed but when they are on the pier as Raymond and Aqua approach the end of the pier they pass a guy sitting on the pier fishing. Carla Santini from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen should've been on this list... There's also a group of mean girls (I forget their names) in The Biggest Fan, a indie movie only Dream Street fans would have heard of. I think the leader of them gave the protagonist concert tickets but they were marked for the wrong date so she couldn't go. And her family has connections to the group and when she finds out Chris had been undercover at their school, she has the management and paparazzi called to the school dance to ruin their dance. It's so satisfying at the end where Chris has her sued for the paparazzi thing and she and her friends are banned from their concerts for life. The fact they broke up after the movie came out hardly matters
“What happens in high school is gonna stay with us forever” coming from the people who peak in high school and then it’s all downhill from there and then the DUFF steals her man........ EPIC!!!! Also enjoy reliving the “best”times of your life at the 20 year high school reunion.
Chris Hargensen from Carrie used to give me nightmares. She was the original meal girl. Regina will always be my favorite mean girl, Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies. Also, it's so weird seeing Mandy Moore as a mean girl, since she not only voiced the sweet and lovable Princess Rapunzel, but she's also one of the sweetest people in the world!
I remember doing the Lana got coned thing at my high school to a bully and I got away with it and everyone laughed just like in the movie after he got me kicked off a trip by framing me for something I didn’t do and everyone knew it too.
Scarlett O’Hara - Gone with the Wind 1939 Regina Higgins - The Little Foxes 1941 Veda Pierce - Mildred Pierce 1945 Baroness Elsa von Schraeder - The Sound of Music 1965
I wouldn't say the Baroness is mean, because she ultimately steps aside and lets Captain Von Trapp go when it's clear that he's more in love with Maria than he is her
I like that now movies don't just stay in the "mean girl" unidimensional character, they actually give feelings and layers and a background to these girls, sometimes redeeming them. That is much more healthy for friendships between women.

Sure but Heather C. is the worst mean girl so she deserved the top spot.
Without Heather Chandler from Heathers, there's no Courtney in Jawbreaker. And no Regina George in Mean Girls. Plus, there's also the Queen Bees in Pretty in Pink.
Sorry. But Heather C. was a world wide icon ten years before Courtney, over 15 years before Regina.
Without heathers mean girls probably wouldn’t exist plus if there was a list of the worst guys in teen movies JD would certainly take the top spot no explanation needed he is easily the worst
Shelby Comings from the 2004 movie A Cinderella Story
The actress was also a mean girl on freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan
@@Missmagazinebura, Stacy.
She also played in Christmas with the Kranks but her character was the daughter and nice.
@@vanessastegall I really like that movie (Christmas with the Kranks) but a lot of people don't care for it. But yes Shelby and Stacy are great mean girls
@@bethanylavallee3709, I agree.
Me: Before watching the full video, betting on the fact that the movie *Mean Girls* will be mentioned.
No matter what any list says Regina George will always be my number 1. She’s such an awesome character AND Mean Girl.
Totally
There wouldn’t be a Regina George without Heather Chandler ☺️
Well I think she’s 10 times better than Heather. She’s like Heather with an upgrade
@@rubygracemoseley8144 Regina turns nice in the end and everybody forgets about her and easily bully her. Meanwhile, Heather dies and still remains powerful.
So....Regina just seems like a much more fun character to watch. More then Heather.
Aww feeling very nostalgic about "Romy and Michelle's high school reunion" side note ... Ramon was such a stalker creep lol...a very cute stalker creep but still a creep lol
Rizzo is hands down the best thing about Grease, don't @ me 😝😝😝
I agree. Like I literally hate everything about that musical (besides the songs) except Rizzo.
I agree but personally Jan and Putzie too! I love those two together!
Yes! One of the only characters that actually has depth.
Rachel McAdams plays that quiet machivelian strength as well as Paul Sorvino in Goodfellas
Kathryn from Cruel intentions is brilliant. But I do love Sarah Michelle Gellar because of buffy and the scooby doo movies
Same
**throws Bible at you** I AM FILLED WITH CHRIST’S LOVE

Don't I wish
Why ????
In today's world.....Do you realize how LITTLE 1 Million dollars is
so... why would wish it upon a person
Hey being rich is awesome 👌
@@mariuskristensen1867
is it ??
............DEFINE "Rich"
It is define you being a looser
“What happens in high school is gonna stay with us forever” coming from the people who peak in high school and then it’s all downhill from there and then the DUFF steals her man........ EPIC!!!! Also enjoy reliving the “best”times of your life at the 20 year high school reunion.
Definitely courtney from jawbreaker.
SHE COMMITED A FREAKING MURDER AND COVERED IT UP. I MEAN SERIOUSLY. 😡😡😡
Yeah, jawbreaker freaked me out with that crossed line. I was like....😳 okay, so we went there. Dang.
Jawbreaker is DARK as hell and actually really good. I can't believe the bad reviews its gotten
Don't forget frame a stranger for her crime
Danny was truly overjoyed to see Sandy and just perpetrated a front at the drop of a hat!
The fact that no one here has mentioned *any* of the mean girls in Never Been Kissed is just appalling.
Omfg...I know, right?! I thought the exact same thing. I lOVE that movie!
Regina George should have been number one. She's literally the mean girl in mean girls.
Regina George is the daughter of Heather Chandler. Everybody knows that.
Yeah but Courtney from jawbreaker literally covered up and murdered someone. And Nancy was probably worse than Courtney.
She is no where near the evil some of these other girls are, a couple literally killed people. I thought she should’ve been a bit lower tbh
Chris Hargensen from Carrie used to give me nightmares.
She was the original meal girl.
Run the popular clique - check
Ridicule and humiliate those less popular than her - check
Set up a date for the unpopular girl - check
Seek revenge on those who she thinks wronged her - check
Manipulate high school events for her own pleasure - check
She is the blueprint all the others work of.
Nah, she's mean, but like regular teenage girI mean girl. She's not on the level of some of these women. I don't even think she should be that high up on the list.
Nothing beats Mandy Moore as the mean girl, she kills it every time!!!
Regina’s a tough competitor and so is Cordelia Chase (but Corey’s from the TV show list)
The one that always stuck with me was Alicia from Drive Me Crazy. I'm shocked she didn't even make honorable mentions. She was one of the worst, because she pretended to be the protagonist's best friend while actively sabotaging her. Really rocked the early 2000s vamp look too.
Harriet from Wild Child literally started a fire because she wanted to get rid of Poppy
So Cooke from the Babysitters club is also Gia from full/fuller house who was also kind of a bully at first
Then in fuller house her daughter was kind of a bully
@@dragongirlmizuki1564 Rocky’s not a bully
Yay someone mentioned that she played Gia, she is such a good actress and I think that it’s good that her daughter learnt to be better than her eventually
“That Is Such A Cute Cheerleading Outfit, It’s SO Clean-Cut. I Just ......I Bet It Goes With ANYTHING.”
- Mia, 1996
“Of Course It DOOOOEESSS!!!! 🍨🍦 AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!”
- Lena, 1996
Looks Like Mia FINALLY Gain The Courage To Stand Up To THAT MEAN Lana Thomas Girl And Give Her Some “Just-Desserts” - Literally!
More ideas for this list:
1. Amber Pollock - Teen Spirit
2. Starla Grady - Slap Her... She's French
3. Sasha Stolezinsky - So Undercover
4. Mandy Weatherly - Mean Girls 2
5. Shelby Cummings - A Cinderella Story
6. Natalia Faroush - Another Cinderella Story
Free Palestine
I could say the same for Veruca Salt and Carmelita Spats.
I love that Mandy Moore landed on the list twice! I knew a girl who met her once and she said Mandy wasn't very nice lol.
I thought Nancy from The Craft would've been higher up. And I thought Mary Beth from The Faculty would've been on.
I love that you put Muriel's Wedding in there, it's a must see
Such an amazing movie !
Nancy Downs is definitely my favorite
Vivian (Legally Blonde) had the best personality glow up periodt
But Regina will always be the best mean girl period.
Regina wouldn’t be here if not for Heathers
Movies I would add, just because I love to hate characters like this... Cry Baby, Ever After, Little Darlings, Memoirs of a Geisha, Mirror Mirror, Mirrormask, Mona Lisa Smile, Save the Last Dance, Sixteen Candles, Sleepover, Superstar, Wild Child, and Willy Wonka.
Big red is probably my favorite and Caty from Mean Girls and also Regina there tied for me.
Scarlett O’Hara - Gone with the Wind 1939
Regina Higgins - The Little Foxes 1941
Veda Pierce - Mildred Pierce 1945
Baroness Elsa von Schraeder - The Sound of Music 1965
Lavinia - The Little Princess 👸 1939
Baroness Elsa von Schraeder is a middle aged woman Lol.
Eve Harrington--All About Eve
I wouldn't say the Baroness is mean, because she ultimately steps aside and lets Captain Von Trapp go when it's clear that he's more in love with Maria than he is her
I like that now movies don't just stay in the "mean girl" unidimensional character, they actually give feelings and layers and a background to these girls, sometimes redeeming them. That is much more healthy for friendships between women.
So glad Jawbreaker got a mention. One of the most underrated films.
For me it's Kathryn Merteuil from Cruel Intentions is the best mean girl. Her character is so underrated.
Right
YESSSSS! CHRISTIE MASTERS!
I live for Tracy Flick but I never thought of her as a "mean girl".
Yes for JAWBREAKER (such a cult classic).
Vivian wasn’t a mean girl! She didn’t deserve that 13.
As much as I love Regina George I'm glad to see a mean girls list she doesn't top. Andni love the face that Catherine from cruel intentions made it above her and also that Tania from Muriel's wedding for an honourable mention xxxxx
Mandy Moore is such an amazing actress
Regina George is the queen, period
Yes she is!
courtney>>>>>>
That it so fetch!!
FACTS
Courtney Shane rules
My top is
1:Heather Duke she was so heartless and bitchy just because she can be
2:Kathryn Merteuil she have the power and she used it until it destroy her
Regina George:Just the most iconic, intelligent and manipulative of them all
i was waiting for Sharpay Evans, i know the hsm movies are bad but she was so iconic that she even has her own movie (bad but, it was her OWN movie)
She's not actually a mean girl though. She actually is one of the most rational people of the movie. And she tries to be nice to Gabriella and Troy.
Can we cancel this girl on hsm being bad
What about Winnie from Bring it on: all or nothing?
Yeah
Don't ruin this.
Reese Witherspoon is is 3 of these movies; what a queen!
I also loved Brittany Snow as Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray better
Like Dwayne Johnson said in a movie, I hate bullies. Therefore, I don’t have a “favorite” mean girl
I REALLY LOVE THE CLIQUE SERIES! I am glad Massie is on this list...
I saw Nancy Downs in the thumbnail so I'm here
I feel like this should be titled “ top 20 mean girls in chick flick movies
No these girls are true mean girls. The girls you want added are nice girls who try and act mean
i just rewatched mean girls and regina was one of my favorite character
#3. Regina George
*Regina:* what is happening to the world?
"I wanna watch the world burn"
She’s gonna watch “the world burn now.”
She’s not as mean as others and she’s overrated anyways. She should’ve been lower down the list tho
The lack of Rebecca Ann Leeman on this list makes me sad. Drop Dead Gorgeous is so overlooked.
Marla Sokoloff stayed playing the mean girl in the 90s.
And thank you for Hilary Faye. She should have been much higher. Also didn't realize Mandy Moore was a "career" mean girl.
Holy crap!! You got Number 1 correct!! Kim Walker was absolute perfection!!
Where's Sharpay from the High School Musical franchise; Tess Tyler from the Camp Rock franchise; Shelby Cummings from A Cinderella Story, Meredith Baxter-Dimly in Bratz and Carla Santini on Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen?!
Uhh those girls were not even that mean😂
@@carmellomuzicinc.7819 pls have u seen carla santini lmao
@@carmellomuzicinc.7819 Have you SEEN Shelby!?
Alison Dilaurentis and Blair Waldorf will always be the most iconic
PLL was kinds fake, not gonna lie
Judy Greer as Tom TOm and also as Fern (ViOlette) in Jawbreaker. Love it
What about Cecilia Banks from Aquamarine and Shelby Cummings from A Cinderella Story? Those girls mean, queen bee, spoiled, cruel, cunning, jealous and they tried to steal the main character's boyfriend. Shelby tried to ruin Austin and Samantha's relationship by humiliating them in front of the pep rally. Cecilia tried to steal Raymond from Aquamarine and tried to expose Aquamarine's mermaid secret to the world. Those girls are really vain and mean.
There’s a lot of them that aren’t on this list!!
Tess-Camp Rock
Sharpay-High School Muisical
Mandy-Mean Girls 2
Whitney-Bring it on all or nothing
Crista-16 Wishes
Stacy-Radio Rebel

One thing I like is that despite Rachel McAdams plays the girl we’re supposed to hate while we root for Lindsay Lohan, the former had a way better career. McAdams had a lot of great roles and was even nominated for an Oscar when she played Sacha Pfeiffer in Spotlight, while Lohan.... well we know what happened to her.
yep. Rachel's career took off and Lindsays days were numbered after appearing in that godawful 'Liz and Dick'.
I used to be OBSESSED with Massie Block as a kid
