- In this video, I forge a reproduction Roman Iron Fibula. This is based on several finds and is one of the smallest intricate objects I have forged.

It has been a long five years and a lot has changed for me. I am now teaching 3 days a week at the National School of Blacksmithing in Hereford and will have more time to explore video projects again.

Myself, as many others here, have really come a long way since last seeing your videos - I'm now president of a regional blacksmith non-profit club and, now living in my dream home of a 5 acre lot with outbuildings for the hobbies, ive got a dedicated 20ft x 40ft blacksmith shop! I saw your name in my UA-cam notifications and had to immediately watch. I remember forging a rush light after watching one of your videos. I was a beginner then and now I work as a blacksmith at a museum shop in a local park. I get paid to forge, entertain park visitors and teach to school field trips. How good is that?! We’ve missed you.

The projects you choose demonstrate a far wider set of genuinely useful skills and techniques than the usual youtube blacksmith content. with the added bonus that it's historically educational too!
