This was such a powerful template for us to follow in dealing with today's objections to Scripture. I especially loved the treatment of slavery and showing how it's actually a picture of our relationship with Christ! This one gets a wow and should be seen by everyone aspiring to engage meaningfully with today's culture. Thank you, Jeff!

❤❤ Thank you Pastors for what you do to call out heretics with love and respect. Thanks for your solid stand on Scripture so others like myself are encouraged to remain true to the Word of God!
While I'm not a fan of debates, rather leaned towards discussions; I found the debate quite fruitful. It gave him a chance to lay out his progressive heresy teachings and for them to be knocked down. I agree that his video is certainly him being nervous and trying to do damage control, because he's a big name in the LGBTQ world and he got whooped when it came to theological knowledge and discussion. You guys went to the Greek and Hebrew and his arguments were more along the lines of how when kids play a game together and you have one of the kids in the group not want to lose or get kicked out of the game and so they keep going "wait wait new rule!" Or "time out! That's not fair!" Etc. That's what I got from him when it came to his approach of scripture. Im in the Eastern Orthodox Church but I definitely applaud what you guys did. The scriptures say your friends give you bruises and your enemies give you kisses. You guys showed him love by giving him bruises.
I think the biggest victory is that they approached it with Love. They likely expected opposition to be angry, hateful, judgmental, not calm, collected and merciful.
Thank you for being God-fearing men of integrity. They church has become fearful of displeasing man and not God. The truth sometimes hurts, but it never harms!! Thank you for your ministry!🙏🏽😍💕
The religious people thought something similar with Jesus. You know you kind of remind me of them. I find no fault with the lgbtq whatsoever. What say you?
@@dansaber4427I think what you mean by religious people is the Pharisees, as it was the Pharisees who demanded Christ to be crucified. You’re making a comparison, so the question is; is your comparison accurate to what actually happened in the Bible (which are actual events)? Matthew 15:3, 7-9 “He answered them, “Why do you break God’s commandment because of YOUR TRADITION?…. Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said: This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines HUMAN commands.”” The answer is no, as you're failing to distinguish correctly. You see, the Pharisees were forsaking what Scripture was actually saying, for the sake of their own made up traditions, according to their own current society. It was actually Jesus who over and over again Referral to the Word of God as the Ultimate authority of Truth and the Ultimate standard of Truth. Jesus would always tell them, “have you not read?” over and over again, referring to what scripture says; making the point that God’s Word has more authority than their own Traditions and the “beliefs” of their Society. Basically, the Pharisees were all about their own standards over God’s Revealed word. The irony is, this is precisely what you and Brandan are doing; it’s all about what the great Almighty YOU think is ok, according to the standards of what you say is right or wrong (what YOU do or do not find fault with, it’s all about YOU over God). Yet, Jesus would say, “have you not read?” Which is Literally, what Jeff was doing with Brandan. Conclusion: the more accurate comparison would be that you and Brandan are the Pharisees, who forsake Scripture for the sake of your own traditions and Belief systems. All the while, Jeff Durbin is the one actually doing what Jesus did with those horrible self-righteous (those who make up their own standard of truths of right & wrong over God’s) Pharisees, who rejected Jesus and his Word as the ultimate Authority of truth, which is to take them back to what Scripture says. Likewise, Jeff took Brandan back to what Scripture says. This is vital, because it’s not about what you or I say is right or wrong, BUT what GOD says is! It’s God’s sayings over your traditions, God’s way over your ways-God’s words over your opinions.
@@TheDavidBarraza so I'm just making an observation you sound like the religious people from the story. If you can't admit that's a fair observation you're intellectually dishonest.
@@dansaber4427 the issue is that the correct observation would be; that it’s you who remind us all of those horrible self-righteous (those who make up their own standard of truths of right & wrong over God’s) religious Pharisees, who rejected Jesus and his Word as the ultimate Authority of truth! Clearly, the more accurate comparison would be that you and Brandan are the Pharisees, who forsake Scripture for the sake of your own traditions and Belief systems. You’re the one like the religious Pharisees who are all about their own standards over God’s Revealed word. This is precisely what you and Brandan are doing; it’s all about what the great Almighty YOU think is ok, according to the standards of what you say is right or wrong (what YOU do or do not find fault with, it’s all about YOU over God). I watched the pod cast/discussion and I have to say this was a perfect example of how we as believers in Christ need to respond to sin within the church a-lah Matthew 18:15-19
This was clear, excellent, powerful. Brandan only has obfuscation as a response. We used to call this type of debate outcome "ownage" or "floor-wiping". Hopefully it will help those who don't buy Brandan's bag of inconsistencies and personal opinions couched in empty assertion.
Brandon said he searched the Scriptures and came to his conclusions once he left “orthodox” Christianity. What is interesting is that based on Brandon’s own testimony, he came to find out that the Bible affirms everything he thinks, feels, and desires. If Brandon is right, that means that other than Jesus, he the only person in history who could look at Jesus when He says, “Repent,” and respond, “I don’t need to.”
Thank you, guys, for speaking TRUTH and for not being afraid to do so. It's hard to reason with people like Brandon and it's sad to watch. Hopefully one day, his eyes will be opened, and he will repent and be saved.
Thank you pastor Jeff! Glad you did this. Many who watched this are now accountable to the truth. May the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth reveal the truth to the souls Brandon has deceived.
Not only was he arrogant but no self-awareness. He proclaims he's spent a decade and thousands of dollars on researching this so he knows it's true. Then someone who's LIVED Christianity for longer than Brandon has even been alive tells him he has a greater claim to Authority and then Brandon calls him arrogant for it. I'm glad they called him out on it.
You both were beyond cordial and respectful. You let him make up lies and talk blasphemy so he could hang himself on his own delusion. You were respectful. When you pressed him on Biblical accuracy, he started making up his own versions and creating false narratives to condone his disgusting homosexual behavior. Instead of having a humble heart and admitting he was wrong, he doubled down and blasphemed more. You both reached your fill of his nonsense and called him a "heretic." He is a sinner of the worst kind a liar to the word of GOD and preaching false gospel. You both handle the conversation perfectly. A lot of other Chrisitans would have kicked him much earlier than you gentlemen did. As usual, much respect to you men and thank you for keeping the Gospel and its accuracy. Amen, brothers and glory to GOD.
Watched the show from the south in France and you have been very patient, very respectful and very loving. I just don't understand what people are complaining about😳😳😳. This young man is what we call here "de mauvaise foi"🙄. Our Lord helps him.
I was so happy Jeff stood his ground with truth , and not let Brandon’s heresy fly without rebuke. Sean, from an another Christian podcast, was so soft on him and let Brandon run off his false teachings without really standing up to truth. Brandon was never flustered as he was with Jeff, I’m thinking that’s why he agreed to engage with Jeff because of his smooth interaction with Sean.
Thank you for taking the time to break down so clearly why Christians don’t practice holiness codes in the same way under the new covenant. I just had someone messaging me on Instagram who was trying to persuade me of the need to obey all of God’s laws today, who wouldn’t accept my saying there is a difference between moral laws and the others under the new covenant. I wasn’t sure how to succinctly defend it and the whole conversation was frustrating as we kept talking past each other. I really appreciate your helpful breakdown here! I took notes. This whole video was incredibly helpful.
Recently discovered your channel and I’m so glad that you interviewed Brandon. And I’m glad you did a reaction video to his reaction video. Great example of why we study the Bible and apologetics. Less serious… did I see the corner of a Gentlemen Broncos poster?! Love it!
"We are trying to remove the leven from Christ's church right now." This should be the aim of every elder and Pastor and teacher in the church today. Love it.
Awesome video/episode. I watched an amazing video Jeff did about 7 years ago and still re-watch from time to time, I went to the church once, watched the debate with Brandon and now this. This is a hard process where I get more scared as I try to take steps to get closer to God. You'll are doing good work so thanks for that.
It’s very interesting that he calls the defense of his belief a “game!” He admitted he was thrown off his “game!” His Christian faith is a “game!” Christ on a cross is a “game!”
I appreciate the conversation and guys like Brandan have to be pushed back on. The truth of the Gospel and God's word cannot die on the alter of "niceness"
Something to note: an Instagram user cannot comment on his posts. Brandon is unwilling to engage in discourse or see a comment on his page he does not like. That’s intellectually shallow and feckless. As much as he came on the show, he also tries to evade criticism and discussion.
Praise the Lord for the truth found in his Word, gives a purpose to all of this. The goal is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Let’s keep pushing 🗡️
The required minimum! That's the perfect way to describe how far a Christian can get into a Brandon Robertson video. It's about 3 minutes, 5 maximum before our heads pop. At that point we have to stop, pray for his soul, restart, stop, pray for his followers souls, restart, stop, pray for ourselves, restart, stop and pray for all humans within his or others that teach as he does ear or eye shot.
I said it in a comment on the debate video itself already but that session was a master class. To be studied. This would be an accompanied segment of those lessons. Brother Jeff...as always great work. I also think it's a shame it wasn't 1 of 2. Lastly let me say Brandon seems to be making the rounds preparing to market himself with this upcoming book. He's not being brave or genuine. He's looking to make a name and money off of his allegiance to Satan.
You don't compromise or bend a knee and again like you guy's say and Voddie...the 11th commandment "thou shalt be nice" is the only one they follow!!" Thanks for standing up for truth! I have a great reformed church that I am so thankful for because I know they are few and far between right now!
The only thing that helps me love people like this is realizing their eternal destiny. I don't want anyone to experience separation from God, and be in a place where they can never call out to God and receive His mercy.
Great teaching guys! When we as Christian’s believe the 11th commandment “Thou shall be nice” you can’t engage any topic where it may be perceived you’re being mean… And that leaves us as Christian impotent!!….
Brandon’s video was weird. He stated that he was not given the opportunity to speak but everything in this clip was said with Jeff and James. I didn’t hear anything new. So he did get the chance to share his stance. Loved the last scripture. Need to find it.
He just wants to be gay without feeling guilty about it. Sadly, not only is he lying to himself, but he’s lying to countless other people and leading them straight to hell.
This meekness and apology from our Christian leaders has got to stop. This is why we allowed the atheist to push their religion on us. We allowed them to remove Christ from our schools and courts. No wonder the USA crumbling. That being said you gentlemen handled the debate with Godly integrity and righteousness. Do not apologize for anything. Keep pressing forward and exposing false teachers as we are instructed to do. God first.
I notice a generational trend. The aftermath of this is pretty much the Groundhog Day equivalent of the Kwaku conversation. When you speak definitively (more importantly) show what the Word says definitively plus where/how it obliterates the professed worldview, it’s taken personally (as it should) but not in the right way. I’m a Believer, but if you think God’s Word is always comfortable and soothing to me, you don’t understand the flesh AT ALL. The difference between the responses to what the Bible says about OUR condition is that one side changes its lifestyle to fit the Word, and the other side changes the Word to fit its lifestyle. Changing the Word only changes the FEELINGS. But changing behavior changes the outcome. To put it simply: The Check Engine warning in the car comes on, and people like Brandan choose to remove the bulb instead of taking it to the shop. In other words, they’ll try to get around the WARNING (whether rejecting, denying, or ignoring it) instead of getting to the root of the problem and getting it fixed. That’s how we see atheists approaching the God of the universe and Lord of all creation. The self proclaimed “intellectuals” are essentially infants engaging in an old fashioned game of peekaboo. The reason babies love it so much is that they believe closing/covering their eyes is actually making mommy and daddy disappear. So denying the existence/Word of God is grounds for dismissal of His Law as well.
Thing is "Nothing new under the sun". In the epistles Paul was writing to churches engaged in sexual immorality even then and I'm sure people got his letters read to them, rolled their eyes and kept on sinning.
According to Brandon's argument on there being no objective standards means that everything would be subjective. Everything. So, if I decided that murder was okay, then that is moral. He would likely say that it's not acceptable, because society decides that it isn't okay. Well, why are they the standard to decide? What gives them authority? I refute their claim to authority over my subjective morality.

I needed to tell him out loud I was so sorry and then show him by stopping .
I wish you understood how deep what you just said it, especially the last part😭😭😭 and then show Him how sorry I am by stopping😩😩
Amen. That's called repentance. If only more self professing Christians understood that truth you just typed.
11:30 is when they start talking about Brandan.
Thank you!!!
Thank you
Hero.

Wish I had seen this before starting the video. 😂
I wish as many or more people listened to this video as watched "the debate" one...masterful inspired preaching by Jeff. Thank you!
I love the way you spoke Gods truth in love to Brandon, and the respect you showed him. I could see yours, and Pastor James love and concern for Brandon and his followers. You have nothing to ever apologize for. The people that criticized you, Pastor Jeff, and Pastor James have already allowed their minds to be dirtied by LGBTQ pressure. God continue to bless and protect you Pastor Jeff, and your entire ministry🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️
That’s why I watched the live with Brandon because I knew that you guys were going to be serious and bring the truth 🫡
Thank you Jeff, I have never had bond servant explained to me this way. I now understand and I thank you for that.
Please do a second part to this commentary, It's so important. Thank you!
Thanks guys for engaging in this debate in a loving yet straight talking and truthful way. So interesting and much needed.
Thank you for posting this. Not knowing scripture well, it is easy to fall into thinking, "This part of scripture makes sense to me, and that does not." I personally have fallen into that. I am so grateful for the ministry of Apologia. Tough love is a gift from our God. I have not gone so far as Brandon, but this video has me examining my own rebellion. Thank you again for freely sharing your videos.
I am learning sooo much from you guys! Thankyou!
I am so glad you went further in depth into this because I was wanting Brandon to hear all of that in the interview though time was limited and Jeff still did a great job. I just hope he listened to this too.
Brandan is a heretic. It was just and good that Jeff called him out on it and called him to repentance. Did Jeff talk over Brandan, yeah, he did.
Great to engage with Brandon's reaction/reflection to the debate. Very thoughtful God-honoring replies. God bless.
@Apologiastudios. Can i say i am an Evangelical Christian. And i find your ministry to be an inspiration and effective. We are different in that you are a Calvinist and i am an Armenian. But i know that on the core issues we agree. Love you guys allot and May the Lord Bless you and Keep you all.
Why can't you be Calvinist and from Armenia too? 😂😅 God bless

A majestic lesson of "speaking the truth in love"! Thank you Jeff!
The only downside to this show is that it isn’t 3 hours long. I’m very thankful for the work you all do
Your generosity in giving us Bahnsen U is outstanding! Never have I personally seen such large scale Intellectual teachings just given to a new generation. Most would charge for such a collection, but it shows your true virtue in wanting a growing christian fellowship. Much love to you brother, and God bless you
You are extreme nice to him way more than I would have been!
Bro, the slavery explanation was great.
Concise and clear and easily understood.
Thanks.
Rock on!
Thank you brothers for speaking the truth in an age where so many are deceived.
❤❤ Thank you Pastors for what you do to call out heretics with love and respect. Thanks for your solid stand on Scripture so others like myself are encouraged to remain true to the Word of God!
Love hearing scriptures in this video. Unfortnately Brandon did not use any, just his opinion. I really do wish he would drop the christian claim.
Very well said!!
I think the biggest victory is that they approached it with Love.
They likely expected opposition to be angry, hateful, judgmental, not calm, collected and merciful.
Just accept that y’all just genuinely dislike gays and you won’t have to hide behind the Bible anymore
Brandon got an incredibly easier ride with Jeff and James than he will on judgement day.
Hell is such an abominable thing to believe in

Not half as abominable as trying to convince people that consequences for their sin is non-existent, I assure you.
Thank you for being God-fearing men of integrity. They church has become fearful of displeasing man and not God. The truth sometimes hurts, but it never harms!! Thank you for your ministry!🙏🏽😍💕
The day i care about what LGBT preacher says is the day my brain falls out.
Matthew 15:3, 7-9
“He answered them, “Why do you break God’s commandment because of YOUR TRADITION?…. Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said: This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines HUMAN commands.””
The answer is no, as you're failing to distinguish correctly.
It’s not about what you or I say is right or wrong, BUT what GOD says is! It’s God’s sayings over your traditions, God’s way over your ways-God’s words over your opinions.
Good try thou, just stop being like Adam and Eve, and think you can choose for yourself what is right and wrong, and think you don’t have to listen to God’s word! That’s the Satan’s lie! Don’t fall for it
I have so much respect for this ministry. I would love to marry a strong man like Paster Jeff. Truly admirable, honorable and courageous.
Amen Jeff! Christians know because it's objective truth outside ourselves.
Thank you for the understanding of biblical confrontation. This is so difficult for so many Christians.
Why is Brandan making claims if he thinks everything is subjective.
Because consistency isn't something they think they need
If it really was subjective there would be no reason to debate.
The better question is why would you trust anything he says if he thinks truth and honesty are subjective.
@@kriegjaeger good point
That's the crux of the matter. He doesn't believe in objective truth.
I watched the pod cast/discussion and I have to say this was a perfect example of how we as believers in Christ need to respond to sin within the church a-lah Matthew 18:15-19
Simply put: Well said Jeff, well said Sir
This was clear, excellent, powerful. Brandan only has obfuscation as a response.
We used to call this type of debate outcome "ownage" or "floor-wiping". Hopefully it will help those who don't buy Brandan's bag of inconsistencies and personal opinions couched in empty assertion.
Watching it, I was impressed by your respect toward him. He's trying to defend ideas without a foundation of truth. Let's pray he will repent,.
“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.”
How do apologetic debates rationalize this?!
required minimum. I reluctantly cringe through his stuff just to understand his position. what a trainwreck
Thank you God for strong truthful witnesses. His help us all to be this courageous, wise and Christlike.
I saw it, and you were more than graceful. He was extremely arrogant and nervous showing his youthfulness.
I don't think it was youthfulness. I think he was just surprised at how quickly that his opponents latched on to the weaknesses in his arguments.
Frankly, I think Brandan knows who is his audience and he is simply victimizing himself so his audience pity him and keep listening to him.
This was the best explanation of Old Testament Law being applied to Christian life I’ve heard. Great video
Two words - THANK YOU!!
Thank you for speaking the truth, out of love, even when the truth is hard for a lot of people to accept. That shows true Godly love.
Stream starts 4:21
Thanks for answering my super chat! Great advice!
And thanks for convincing me on postmillennialism! #eschatologymatters :)
Recently discovered your channel and I’m so glad that you interviewed Brandon. And I’m glad you did a reaction video to his reaction video. Great example of why we study the Bible and apologetics. Less serious… did I see the corner of a Gentlemen Broncos poster?! Love it!
It's amazing how Branden's gospel speaks to modern culture.
"We are trying to remove the leven from Christ's church right now." This should be the aim of every elder and Pastor and teacher in the church today. Love it.
This debate/discussion was the best I’ve seen in the Christian community.
Which video did you watch 7 years ago?

It’s very interesting that he calls the defense of his belief a “game!” He admitted he was thrown off his “game!” His Christian faith is a “game!” Christ on a cross is a “game!”
good point dude
I appreciate the conversation and guys like Brandan have to be pushed back on. The truth of the Gospel and God's word cannot die on the alter of "niceness"
Something to note: an Instagram user cannot comment on his posts. Brandon is unwilling to engage in discourse or see a comment on his page he does not like. That’s intellectually shallow and feckless. As much as he came on the show, he also tries to evade criticism and discussion.
His whole argument is out the window when he says “i think” you’re not God! Thank you for speaking truth!
the kid spent $100,000 studying the Bible to NOT KNOW IT. 🤦♀
How does bitter and sweet water come out of the same well!!! Pray for Branden
I don’t understand his hubris, who in their right Mind debates James White and anyone else? Did he honestly think he would come out well?

Lord how do I love this neighbor? Brandon is so difficult to ❤️. 😢
The only thing that helps me love people like this is realizing their eternal destiny. I don't want anyone to experience separation from God, and be in a place where they can never call out to God and receive His mercy.
By speaking the truth, with gentleness and respect.
Solid biblical truth.
Share with your Christian friends
He blocked a lot of people on Twitter after this. He has to stay in his echo chamber. Speak the truth fearlessly, they can’t stand against it.
I felt like you were very kind and loving toward him. It was right for him to hear the truth given to him straight.
God first.
It’s so cringe that Brandan sometimes refers to church history when he thinks it’s convenient but then says he’s not interested in orthodoxy 🥴
Really good commentary. I saw Sean McDowell interview Brandon and was disappointed he didn't refute him more.
Psalms 9:16
[16]The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.
@1:15:10 Woo, "I am a slave to a good master, who paid my debt to purchase me." Love it!!!
Jeff and James were too good at what they do so clearly they're wrong.
Really? That's the argument...?
I think you and pastor White did an excellent job in God's grace and love!!!
This was a huge victory for the Church,,,,, keep it up Apologia.
I can’t wait for the new website!
