This guy did a pretty good job, he took a seized up engine and made it run. There were some things I would have done different but all in all good job@

A valiant effort but just another have-a-go chancer who could do with some mechanical mentoring. Yes it runs but the balancing shafts were not aligned correctly hence the vibrations.
The way he handled the valves and bearings leaves a lot to be desired too.
So, the gears on the balance shafts, are not keyed, or marked?
@@davidhamm5626 if they were he didn't notice. I'm not convinced he knew what they were for - especially after witnessing him completely winding off the rocker adjuster locknuts. A bit of gear but no idea...

@@davidhamm5626some petrol/gasoline engines have balancing shafts too - v-twin motorcycles for an example.
I thought it was vibrating a bit more than usual.

some rust disolvant such as WD 40 or PB Blaster would be great for those rusty bolts and nuts. Still very good restoration. Thank you for posting.

Seharusnya alat yg sudah seharusnya diganti ya gantilah. Seperti fiber governor. Dan pemasangan piston sepertinya terbalik.
Itu masih ada yg bocor entah solar atau air. 😅
The oil pickup tube needs to be positioned lower in the oil pan.

The water leak, that showed when you started it, needs to be fixed. Maybe missed a gasket / seal of something?

Definitely an A for effort. Realistically I’m pretty sure it won’t last that long due to reusing critical components that strictly needed reconditioning. Well done though for making do and getting it running again 👍🏼

Good job on the repair. I have no idea what that cane like white things are or taste like.
The machine was full of rust and looked very dirty. But after it was restored... wow the results were truly extraordinary...

Very nice restoration. It is incredible that you still can find parts for this old machine, like the head gasket. I am sure it would be impossible to find a head gasket for an old machine like this, where I live in Norway :). Excellent work, I am impressed
gaskets are easy to make
Gasket material can be bought and cut into whatever shape is needed.

Looks great, I’d have gone with an off white for the water and fuel tanks but that’s just me. I wish you would have shown the process of cleaning up the cylinder and whether you used new rings or not, but you made junk into a useful engine again. Really wish I could get my hands on one of those in my country

Reusing bearings is a bad practice. They do a lot of work in making engines run as smoothly as possible, and loose their tolerance from all that hard work, and get sloppy. As dirty as that engine was inside, that engine needs new bearings to make it last longer.

I see chrome sockets used ,there are black or dark colored sockets that are especially designed for impact use on HD impact tools . They are harder than normal chrome ones and are made harder and more robust than the others.
Ese equipo tenia todas sus piezas en buen estado, tenía poco uso, solo fue abandonado y las inclemencias del tiempo, lo maltrato. Pero en general buen trabajo.

The engine will be kept for a few months and then they will dirty it and throw it on the road and as always the title will say "I found a diesel engine in a river and I restored it". Most of these restoration videos made in vietnam have this same type of script.
I am guessing that this motor is use out in the field for irrigation pumps

Same electric hoist both ends of the collection. Bearings hammered in damaging balls and surface. No new piston rings ?. Good clean up though. Another video earning good money, well done lads.
