I was at this race, didn’t make it into the video unfortunately 😫😫 great vid tho East Brighton is my local love the rolling hills, we reverse the course in the summer and use all 4 tiers, just gets a bit too muddy in the winter to do it all year round
I know it's been said many times but you taking it easy (and you're a bit ill) and you're still not far off my PB at parkrun. I'm determined to get a PB at parkrun this year. I will get there. Well done to you both for running, especially when you've not been well.
It's a real institution Marc. Give it a go. I find it's a great little test every week too. Although I've definitely had long lay offs from my attendance!
Did Wales beat Ireland, though? 🇮🇪 Gutted to have missed yourself and Victoria at EB - but you were in great hands with our superstar volunteers! Maybe see you again for EB Summer Course - reverses direction and runs straight up Beaky Hill and along the uppermost tier (avoided during winter due to mud).
Hi Steve, sorry I've been a bit late to this. I don't really use my Stryd no. I have power from my Garmin watch these days and it's just as good even if the metric is a higher number. I'm really not a big fan of the Stryd company. But I still recommend their foodpod for treadmill running as it's still the best thing we have apart from a Smart Treadmill.
@@FilmMyRun Hi Stephan. Do you find the use of "power" useful in your pacing?...even from Garmin? I bought a used Stryd pod about 6 weeks ago and have been using it. I don't find power useful as it is simply a function of pace...and pace (via the Stryd pod) is noisy...even on a treadmill with constant belt speed. Although distance with the pod is better (or more accurate) than my GPS watch (Garmin 55)...it still is not repeatable over the same exact course. What are your thoughts when you did use the Stryd pod?
I like the slowmo before the end!
Yes always good to have a bit of slomo!
Really enjoying your parkrun series, you always bring joy into running, many thanks, jen😊
Thank you jenny. Plenty more on the way!

Aaah sorry about that. You should have forced your way in!! Best way to do it is do a jump across the finish line when I'm filming!

We should come up to your local parkrun and get you to a PB!
Really fun video! I love seeing all these different parkruns.
I have to say I am really enjoying the parkrun tourist experience. I may well continue beyond the 200.
Great series this, myself I've never actually done a park run but think after this I might give one a go.
Run & Latte what could be better.

Pete rocking a bit of a Burt Reynolds look there
hahaha, nothing wrong with that I'd say!
At least there was a level playing field. The Welsh guy got his prediction wrong. 😁🤣
The Welsh guy was probably very upset that evening!!
@@FilmMyRun yes for sure and probably worse after the next match.

Mmmmm I've a feeling my Welsh friend may have had a depressing evening!! Really enjoyed EB and will be back again one day.
I think everyone has this damn cold/lurky at the minute. 🙈
Thankfully I am feeling a lot better today. But it's been a pretty miserable last few days!
Tumeric lattes are the best, so good for inflammation
Make sure you add a pinch of black pepper though
Well that's something to consider...
Come to Cwmbran South Wales 🙂
One day. I've not done a parkrun in Wales so it's definitely on the list
I love a latte post parkrun but have to agree with Stephen - Turmeric added 🤢
Yea, just not sure about that latte at all!!
Hey Stephan...I like your Parkrun series. I have a question. Do you still use a Stryd pod?
