Man I got really close to missing the deadline on this upload, but it's still Sunday on the east coast over here. Hope you guys are well.
I REALLY wasn’t planning on this being another relatively large project, but it was. This came about because someone suggested something of a Bowser SMB3+64 Medley. I decided to just do the more obvious thing and make it just a proper game-centric medley. You can definitely expect more of these from the Mario series in this same style.
Both the Bowser theme and the boss battle theme in SMB3 appear in several games. I took inspiration from a lot of different versions here. Can you pick out all the motifs? I have…

Man the boss theme from SMB3 is an all time classic. Such a groove. It’s a shame that the original loop is like fifteen seconds long or some shit.

Can we just appreciate that the koopalings sprites look incredible with their modern appearances.
Iggy's hairs in pixel art looks strange in my opinion, but for the other I totally agree.

The three versions of the boss themes are the original, and the ones from New DS & Wii.
The Bowser's are the original, SMRPG, and Smash.
One of the stage references is the Airship, but I can't seem to locate the other, or the 3D Mario boss theme.
You're awfully close. I'll spoil two.
They're both at 4:02. There's piano in the background that has the same melody as the piano in the final boss theme of Sunshine. Annnd, Super Mario Advance 4 (The GBA version of SMB3) uses those slightly different notes featured in the lead melody.
@@LightMetaS I had no idea about the SMA4 thing, and I didn't even pay attention to the piano, but now that I am, I hear it.

You ever have one of those games you absolutely love, yet never beaten? Super Mario Bros. 3 is that game for me and even though I love how tight that games control is and it probably would be my favorite 2D Mario. I've finished the 1st world put it down and have not picked it up since. Weird ain't it?
Anyway sense I'm not well versed in Mario 3 I don't really know what else to comment...

I have an idea. Can we get something from Shovel Knight? I feel like there's just a ton of different tracks with memorable enough melodies you can use for motifs.
