      @@geitdinuetah3536 if it makes you feel any better, I packed mine (a C7 also) in the home Depot TV box. I shrink wrapped +taped the entire outside of the box. It survived an hr long move in a box truck **laying down** (I was furious when I got to our place and saw it was packed laying down). Zero issues. I'd recommend the home Depot box, it's maybe $30

    Nicely done, it's great for any TV about 50" or smaller and weighing less than 50 lbs, but I'd be concerned that there's no way most people could do this by themselves on a modern flat screen bigger than 60" weighing anywhere from 70-120 lbs with only narrow edges that you can't just grab onto and get hold of. I've moved small TVs like this the same way without much problem, but I don't know how anyone could carefully do this on their own with today's super thin and super fragile big screen OLEDs that can scratch, crack, or bend easily, and they're way more unwieldy to deal with than this older LCD unit.
    People don't even have the arm span to grab the sides of a 65" TV on their own, much less grab and lift. It's like hoisting a heavy pane of glass without letting go and watching it break, or without damaging the screen finish or the display panel itself. Most product packaging says to never move those big screens by yourself, and any install crew is always a minimum of two guys to lift from both sides. Sometimes there's even a third guy to help guide it onto a wall mount and secure it. And I also have doubts whether typical movers would be as cautious as you are if tasked with removing a big screen from the wall and packing it so thoughtfully. Today's huge displays nearly demand a professional install crew who specializes in moving super large screens.

    It’s either a large box or medium box & a moving blanket and lots of packing tape. Now if you want to be really nice to your movers, get a vinyl bag or two old sheets on your mattress, throw a ratchet strap around both short ends of your mattress, pull til snug, not tight and they will have handles and not damage your mattress as easy, also invest in some foam noodles from dollar tree to protect door ways from getting banged up. Good luck on your moves everyone!

    Or buy the box with handles at Home Depot especially designed for transporting, and you can always reuse it again. Plus you'll always know which side is up. Eh I'm smarter haha. Like my brother wanting to keep using an axe or screw driver and I pull out my cordless tools.

    You should have oriented the tv so that the blanket's folds are on the screen side; more padding for the glass front.

    • @tinaag
      @tinaag 2 роки тому +1

      I was wondering the same thing, those folds on both sides on the front of the tv would increase protections.

    • @danijelsavic2016
      @danijelsavic2016 Рік тому +3

      But then you would have an uneven front which is also not ideal

  • @hadescollectables7196
    @hadescollectables7196 2 роки тому +4

    FYI you should never lay your tv down on its face, other than that it’s well protected. I suggest laying it down on its back and folding it around the tv, same with the box lay down the cardboard & place the tv on the cardboard on its back and wrap the cardboard around it

    Oh, I have to add, after having seen professionally packed and delivered used, or 2nd hand TVs, you used minimal tape. Very efficient. However, you did so out of the sake of making a quick video, which keeps people interested. In reality, you can never use too much tape.
