Good question! Zine is short for magazine and it's pretty much a handmade magazine or booklet. They can be about anything and be made with any materials. The ones I make are 8-panel zines from one page of 9.5x11 standard paper. Nothing fancy. I highly suggest looking into some of the zine exclusive youtubers for more info and examples.
