"we don't mix beer and heavy machinery" belongs on the back of a shirt! Thats our new motto at the shop and part of our safety program! Love the videos long time subscriber keep up the great work supporting US Family Agriculture
I have to say the interaction you and your father have is the best part of your channel. I'm actually jealous my dad and I never had that, not one day of our lives.
I clicked on this video as soon as i saw an Oliver! Grandad had an 1800 from 1964. Love those tractors. Lots of memories came rushing back from my childhood. Farmers are mechanics, carpenters, electricians, and everything else. 🚜🚜
Gotta ask,,,has you're dad spent time as a tractor mechanic? His understanding of the working parts on older equipment is amazing. People with that ability right out of the gate are EXTREMELY rare.
Love it seeing old school tractors still earning their keep.Ill give you both credit back when my family farmed it was always My dad and Uncles doing that work.Great job and excellent videos letting those who have never been on a farm see the daily grind.May you and your family continue to be blessed.
Love the (leftover from the wedding) line. We just had a daughter get married and now lots of leftovers to eat.Wedding was great but so much food leftover! YOU CAN ONLY EAT SO MANY LEMON BARS IN ONE DAY 😂.Thanks 😅.
Howdy ya'll, I hope your doing well, Ya that was pretty Cool, it always amazes me at the engineering that went on back than, just amazing to me seeing exactly how these old girls worked, all those gears, and leavers working together, to make these tractors move and plant, harvest, haul and so on, just so Cool to me, really enjoyed this video ya'll, Another Great video with Great content, Stay safe and Farm on my Friends, Peace
That's pretty cool watching you guys work on the Oliver Transmission. My late Uncle Bill and Cousin Dale have three old McCormick Farmall tractors. One's a 1948 Farmall M. My Uncle Bill's first tractor that he drove as a kid it hasn't been run in many years.
All I can say is wow. It's like performing surgery lol. Great job for taking on a huge project and taking us along with you. What kind delicious birthday cake was it? Can't wait till the next video. God Bless you all!!
"Your wife helped with her little fingers" last time the tractor broke and you got a free pop.... Interesting, hope you shared the soda with your wife. What an interesting repair video. You guys rock.
Again hope that Mom had a good birthday. I worked at a hospital at one time and the medical field doesn't take days off like everyone else does, even department secretaries. Good Video. Love the "I think that part goes there" logic. Know it will work. Also noticed that you still sound a little froggy Aaron. Hope you get better soon. Was Mariska up all night again. She looked so comfortable. We are getting lake affect snow today, not much but cold and blowy out. Thanks for the video and keep safe.
Impressive you did all that in 1 day...plus took care of the cows! You guys should invest in a shop gantry. I'm sure you could find a good used one. Make life a lot easier!
Happy Birthday Mom! Sorry that you had to work on your birthday, but then again someone has to support the farming habit! Yet another stellar video from the farm, gentlemen. There's almost always something that could use a little attention, especially when running equipment which is so close to having fully earned its keep... She's not quite ready for the parade circuit yet! It looked nice and clean inside as if you care for your machinery on a regular basis, well, at least it looked clean before the dirt got knocked in! Bless'ns to the both of ya's, Tedd
Oliver sure got a lot out of their chassis design. From the Oliver Hart Parr 70 row crop all the way to the Whites used the same layout. The nice thing about that is you can pull the engine and gut the transmission and still have a rolling chassis. I just my second Oliver tractor. It's a Super 77 diesel that I bought to run my generator with and use for other odd jobs. Jury is still out on how good of a tractor it's going to be. Parts seem hard to come by as no one hardly stock the oil filters for it at about $30 a piece.
I locked up an Oliver 1550, trying to shift to fast, not being stopped and shifting! I droped a bolt down in a JD B, and I tried everything to get it out, Nope! Then Oh, the Wife! Her small hands reached right down in there and got it out! Hey, don't keep us in suspense, I want to see that tractor move!🤣
Was that Maibach tractor in Creston Ohio that you got trans and reared from? They run an Oliver junkyard and are also an old dealer and an Agco dealer today good people
It all goes to show you that you a always afraid to throw anything away. It may several months before you may need it. When I through any parts away I most likely say. Why did I do that.
4:01 - You are correct. Always flip the hydra-power into low to shift the main transmission. Chris Losey explained it in a video called "shifting gears on Oliver tractor": ua-cam.com/video/e7r9bX3ciTc/v-deo.html Love the videos! You guys have a beautiful operation. Thanks for sharing!
If you click on the "show more" that is found just after their description of the video, it will give you the whole address. But the P.O. Box # was 706.
"ol Ollie said I've had it" !! too funny! Nice work guys! Love that Ol Ollie!
You guys are so fun to watch. You do not realize how smart you are. I hope the real boss has a great birthday.

I love the fact that Mariska was involved!
My husband grew up with Oliver tractors..love this❤❤❤❤ PS, can mom come on one of these videos?
You`re a great Team! That`s amazing. The biggest Point to purchase an older Equipment is the possibility to repair it yourself. Best Regards, Alfred
Farmer are the greatest mechanics and engineers
Myself having 2 Oliver’s they are pretty easy to work on compared to the newer stuff
I have to say the interaction you and your father have is the best part of your channel. I'm actually jealous my dad and I never had that, not one day of our lives.
Congratulations with your moms birthday. That transmission looks brand new inside, some good quality machinery you got there.
At least it's something you can work on. A new tractor you could never touch. Gueter Geburtsdaa, mom! Stay safe and God bless.
Happy birthday to the misses hope you have a wonderful day

You don’t mix beer, but vodka would go good with that 7UP dad😅😅😅
Happy Birthday Mary!
Great job guys, those old tractors were so easy to work on, no special tools needed.
I give you both a lot of credit tackling a big job like that, hope all works Ok for you in the end, old girl has lots of years left on the farm.
Love it seeing old school tractors still earning their keep.Ill give you both credit back when my family farmed it was always My dad and Uncles doing that work.Great job and excellent videos letting those who have never been on a farm see the daily grind.May you and your family continue to be blessed.
Happy Birthday mama Gierck!
That is all too familiar of a sight for me. Just redid my 1850 last winter. Tough old tractors

Happy Birthday Mom, ( I hope your charging enough for that specialty work)lol
I really enjoy the old tractors I'm 69 years old how you guys take care of them I don't think I could drive a new tractor
"Your wife helped with her little fingers" last time the tractor broke and you got a free pop.... Interesting, hope you shared the soda with your wife. What an interesting repair video. You guys rock.
Happy Birthday extended MOM!

Always very handy to have a Mother wife or sister to get in those really close spaces to start bolts.
Impressive you did all that in 1 day...plus took care of the cows! You guys should invest in a shop gantry. I'm sure you could find a good used one. Make life a lot easier!

Nice Oliver but you need some Orange in there. D-17 is a nice all around model I had for years.
Excellent video.👏
beautiful job you and your dad did
Glad it worked out for you. Enjoyed as always.👍
Simple green and an air hose works wonders for cleaning off old grease 👍🏻
Very impressive.
Really cool to see yall work on a tractor....
Sometimes you gotta wonder if the engineers ever had to remove/reinstall some of these "small hands" parts LOL
Nice work Guys thanks for what you do and sharing it
Awesome job and great family
If you guys haven't found Chris Losey's channel, he has a lot of videos on repairing Oliver tractors...........
He has a very good channel with Oliver stuff!
"We don't mix beer with heavy machinery." You're a farmer, George. That's a lie. 🤣
Aaron...you're a grown man and you still have to hold the flashlight 😉🤣

Your mechanical aptitude is impressive. Not much you guys will not tackle.
Shop vac the dirt's and crud once it's loose. That way you don't gotta clean up so much.
So AWESOME!! Thanks. What kind of beer you guys like to drink? Or whisky?
It's so much cheaper to fully rebuild the old models vs buying a new version.
thank you
Happy birthday to mom
dog laying in the sunspot, living the life!
👍👍👍👍👍
saved it❤❤❤
Great video
Honestly I always thought that Oliver made the best ground equipment
I would imagine there is no metric on that tractor.
Cant work on the newer ones yourself like that today
Was that Maibach tractor in Creston Ohio that you got trans and reared from? They run an Oliver junkyard and are also an old dealer and an Agco dealer today good people
👍
What model tractor did you sell
you made that look easy, keep in mind the high fructose corn syrup kills your good gut bacteria, what flavor was the cake ??
You can never have to many extra parts on the farm
It all goes to show you that you a always afraid to throw anything away. It may several months before you may need it. When I through any parts away I most likely say. Why did I do that.
I guess it's too late to renew the extended warranty on the 1650 Oliver.

WHAT IS YOUR PO BOX

I saw one dirty scanner on the wall.
Lift your game lol
Spanner
I hope your using synthetic oil
To much work when u farm on ur own upgrade
If you ask me the perkins engine that oliver used were junk
Well considering they used Waukesha engines I guess that’s a compliment. The only Oliver that used a Perkins was the 1850 Diesel.
@Ross the Oliver Man yup they did the 1850. Thats why we changed it to cat.
