I was living in Barcelona before I grown up in there, now I living in London after 5 years here, I want come back to Spain, this time I want to move to Madrid I heard good things about Madrid, thanks for share the information
I would add for the Barcelona side (for work and professional matters) : the catalan language can sometimes be requested on top of English and sometimes in place of Spanish for some companies and some key role positions. This is because in some companies, business and politics are an intersection. It can be a bit frustrating, but you can either learn catalan or opt for an international company in Barcelona, which there are a decent number of them. I lived in Madrid and now live in Barcelona, and honestly, I like both cities... If I had a golden spoon, I would spend fall and winter in Madrid and then move to Barcelona for spring and summer, hahaha!

Spent a few weeks in Barcelona and Madrid this summer. Explored the vegan food scene intensively. In Madrid, Pizzi&Dixie and GarBanzo had the most delicious vegan food. In Barcelona, it was chez Kessler, Barceloneta and cafe equilibrium. I LOVED the vegan cheeses Spain had to offer. Much better than the US.
Ironically I typed Madrid vs Barcelona looking exactly for this video and it's the first and only relevant one that came up, all the other ones were sports 😂 Thank you for the info ❤❤
Thanks for the tips, I'm planning to move to Spain next year, and had the opportunity to choose the city, Madrid or Barcelona thanks to your insights, I will choose Madrid.
I’ve lived in both cities. I was just watching out of curiosity and I fully agree: Madrid, great place to live. Barcelona, great place to visit. Great video ☺️
Great video! I’m tossing up the idea of coming to Spain for a couple months to see if I’d like to move there. I spent two month in Barcelona and even though I loved it, I wonder if I would like it as place to live full time outside of vacation.
Ahh thanks so much for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah it's definitely a different feeling if you're not in holiday mode. Keep me updated to see how you get on 😄
This was such an all round really informative video. I’m going to be moving to Madrid in a few months and it’s hard to really find information that applies to me. Thanks for touching on inclusivity especially (since it’s been hard to find info on that for me). Also thanks for talking about vegan places! I’m not vegan but I do really love vegan food so it’s great info to know
I'm so glad this video was helpful for you and thanks for leaving such a lovely comment :) Let me know if you have any extra questions about Madrid and good luck with the move :)
Thank you so much! And thank you for offering. If I have any questions I’ll shoot you a comment 💕 as for the move, I’m excited and terrified at the same time 😆
@@MichelleSMV Cool! I'll be honest, July is potentially the hottest month 🤣 but people leave the city around then so it's a good time to look for flats! Swings and roundabouts 😄
Barcelona is the 4th Europe's best city to live according to Europe's Best Cities Report 2023. Barcelona is the best city in the world. Team BCN Visca Barça Visca Catalunya And Go Veg !!
Barcelona has beach Madrid doesn’t, both cities are warm, but i choose Madrid because even tho it doesn’t have a beach you can go there as on vacations and weekends, Marbella, Barcelona Sevilla and etc. For vacations these are the best cities but Madrid is for job and it’s better than Barcelona
Such an informative video, thank you for sharing!! Do you have any info on vegan options in terms of groceries? Do mainstream supermarkets offer vegan alternatives? Do products have labels or do you usually need to refer to the ingredients list? Are there vegan supermarkets or specialised stores? 🌱
There are more and more options everyday and the main supermarkets have options but not as many as in the UK or other countries. There are vegan supermarkets like Planet Vegana for example but they tend to be a bit more on the expensive side.
That's a good salary for Madrid and nearly double what the minimal salary is here. You can definitely have a great quality of life but it depends what you're used to
@@Orlagh wow thank you for replying so quickly :) I'm watching a few of your videos right now. I might have that job where I have to be in Spain but still work remotely. Can't decide between Madrid and valencia to move. Thanks again
Would you say that people in Barcelona are more superficial as in Madrid? I feel like Barcelona is a party city and for some reason I often (not always) associate that with arrogant or "cool" people, but I try to avoid that. Madrid looks like it doesn't have that and all people I've seen in videos look very kind, human and empathic.
@ASDF123000 They're my videos, I can talk about anything I like, no one is forcing you to watch them. It hardly makes me look 'foolish and uprofessional'. Right wing policies hurt marginalised people, women and LGBTQIA+ groups, if you're ok with that, then my channel is not for you. To say 'if you don't like leave' is xenophobic, unproductive and frankly childish. Have a good day.

So glad you enjoyed it! Sounds like you ate some delicious food 🤤🤤
I have never been to Spain. But based on what I have heard from many people, Madrid seems to be a city to live and Barcelona a city to visit.
That's definitely how I feel about it 😄 thanks for watching!

You gave excellent comparison of two major cities in Spain. Very good presenter
Ahh thanks very much 😄

Madrid definitely!
I agree!
This was so interesting! Love hearing about your exciting life in Madrid and all your travels! 💛♥️💗
Aw thanks Millie! So glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
I’ve lived in both cities years ago…both expensive and both ridiculous now due to the horrid onslaught of foreigners

Very helpful and honest comparison, thank you

I agree Barcelona is less safe and people (groups) stick to themselves more

Thankyou! It sure is a great city 😄
Thank you for a very informative video! I appreciate you mentioning the racial issue.

What about humidity in Madrid all year round? I hate humidity.Thsnks.
what do you do for a living? Great video btw!

Also everything is labelled really clearly :)
Hi! Do you have videos of what neighborhoods to live in Madrid?
If i get 2200 euro a month before tax, is that good or bad to live in madrid?

Is it worth to stay in Barcelona for a month?
Yeah I think so 😄 there's lots of things to do so a month is a great amount of time to explore the city.

I wouldn't say so, no. I think there are a variety of people in each city just like there are everywhere 😄
There’s way more party and overall nightlife in Madrid than in Barcelona my friend, way more.
Thanks ❤
Great content (and beautiful eyes ) 👍🏽👍🏽
Madrid lifestyle. Por vida
Estoy acuerdo contigo 😄
Thanks so so much for talking about inclusivity!
Are you still in spain?
Haha I wonder what the Obi-Wan zone would look like 🙂
Barcelona is a port city.
Barcelona is the best gracias, adios❤❤
Why is it "unfortunate" to have a rise on the right? If you don't like the politics, leave.
Spoken like somebody clearly on the right 😉
@@Orlagh it never fails to see some folks move to countries and start imposing their Marxist ideology on the people.
Spot the fascist
I'm on the right, but I respect, everyone's political view.
