This scene is pretty deep if you think about it. He's pretty much showing the cons of fame--entourage always up your ass, everyone kissing the ground you walk on. He gets pretty personal too--everyone knew him as the funny man, laughing at what he said--even when he was serious, and he makes a point to express his dismay: "I would like the seclusion and privacy because I had a terrible mishap just a week or so ago, in the family, an aunt died and I--" "ahahahaha, nothing like a laugh!".
Come here , who are all these people? They work for you boss. I see and who is the guy in the straw hat? Hes the guy who tells you who we are. Oh I see
He relaxes me n makes me feel good always he was the absolute best movie star ever so sad he's gone I love watching his videos whenever I want love that adorable he was 💯💯💯😁
I Love Jerry Lewis and I love the Fontainebleau ! I was lucky to stay at this beautiful Hotel in 1969, ten years after this film was made. There was a display in the lobby with photo stills of the making of this movie. Love seeing the scene with the original Chez bon bon restaurant and of course the original pool. My mom let me stay up late to see this movie on The late late show on a school night because I had never seen it. My curiosity was peaked because of seeing the display in the lobby. Such a great film and a really great memory of it all.
Is no-one going to mention that he gets on the elevator as Jerry Lewis and re-enters in the same shot as the bellboy, while Jerry is still talking!!!
absolutely! Jerry was a genius! So ahead of his time! So creative, smart, and intuitive!
I'll smoke it dry! is one of my all-time favorite movie lines.

It was dumb when I first saw it in the 60's and my opinion hasn't changed.
Good nobody asked for your opinion go back to bed! 🤡
Sad you think its dumb, Lewis a comic genius up there with Charlie Chaplin, Laural and Hardy, Steve Martin, Don Rickles, Bob Hope and others.
