    Nice one, I'd like to have a spline (f-curve) editor in CT4 to precisely smooth movements, some keyframes always have a hard transition. Tks for the video.

    after placing the key frames, the animation wont dance coordinately with the character ,its not automatic , i think he spends a whole day preparing every single frame out of 1000 frames for this a less than minute video,effort is really needed.

    Still dont know what the big deal is. You could do this with pngs 10 years ago with iclone 5 and crazytalk animator 2

    • @GarryPye
      @GarryPye 3 роки тому +1

      The big deal is, now its quicker. The other big deal is, a lot of people (me included) couldnt be bothered working a thousand PNG files, but enjoy the ease of exporting a single MOV file.

      @@GarryPye Right, First off. I am delighted that such a great artist like you has responded.
      I have obtained many of your products in the past.
      However Garry, you make alot of money from Reallusion, I know you sell alot in their store. I also know you have various training videos with reallusion.
      Gary, we both know that you do not have to deal with thousands of pngs files as they run in a seqeunce automatically once put into your chosen program.
      My point was not speed, My point was that it could be done, for years it has been possible
      Even though the time aspect is not really as good arguement as time is virtually the same.
      By the way your video with using Akvis Sketch and iclone was a game changer!

      @@michaelboreland3693 I appreciate your compliments about my work. Im confused why you would mention that I make money as a content developer with Reallusion. That has nothing to do with my opinion. At all. PNG sequencing may have been possible previously, and I have seen many talented CTA animators applying this method for a long time, but I never did because it seemed laborious and resulted in many files. Now that I can export a single MOV file or multiple MOV files if I want to work on individual layers, it has encouraged me to add post production effects to my own videos, with quick and easy results that I’ve been pleased with. If I agreed with you that PNG sequencing is the same as MOV file export, then I would say so. I’m not here to defend things I don’t agree with, believe me. In this case, I just believe that for the average user, MOV files are quick and easy to deal with.

    • @michaelboreland3693
      @michaelboreland3693 3 роки тому

      No Gary. Anyone knows that you do not have to deal with a png sequence as one separate file at a time. In after effects for example they will run as 1 layer. The mov. Is a nice option.
      Gary. Also, come on, your opinion will be bias. Anyone who has been to your channel can see the amount of products you sell on the reallusion store.
      You even have Reallusion training videos.
      If you have accepted money from reallusion and also sell products for cartoon animator, then wether it be consciously or sub consciously your going to be swayed.

      @@michaelboreland3693 Claiming anyone knows that you do not have to deak with a PNG sequence one seperate file at a time doesnt make it true. Not everyone knows. Just because one person knows something doesnt mean instantly everyone knows it. I believe, as is the case with my own experience, that people are looking for the most efficient way to execute a task.
      My opinion is biased no more than that of someone who prefers Pepsi to Coke. Allow me to explain why, for those who might read this and just automatically assume you to be correct. I have worked with Reallusions 2D animation software since CrazyTalk Animator 1. At the time of discovering this software I had used almost every other 2D animation software on the market at some point. Reallusions products just happened to be the best fit for me. I have never claimed that it is the right fit for every 2D animator. It obviously isnt or it would be the only 2D software available. But I used and promoted Reallusions 2D software for six years without any benefit or payment from Reallusion. The reason they asked me to officially join them as their 2D Community Manager was BECAUSE I am so passionate about this software. Its not like I walked off the street and was hired and now have to spend my days pretending to like it. In fact, those who know me well enough will testify that if Reallusion does something I dont agree with, or their software has a feature I dont like, then I am just as vocal as I am about the things I dont like. And yes, I am happy to provide specific examples if you'd like me to.
      So my opinion is biased because I love the software. I was hired because I love the love the software. If anything, I would think that makes my opinion even more valid than that of someone who simply works for Reallusion as a job.
      But you know what? I am not here to EVER convince ANYONE that Cartoon Animator is better than any other software on the Market. It would be pretty narrow minded to suggest that it is, since there are so many options available that have so many variations. It just happens to be the best for ME. And fgor anyone who ever wants to argue that another software package is superior to Cartoon Animator, then my only rebuttle is "Then why are you here?"
      And that point goes to your initial comment. If you dont get what that big deal of MOV export capabilities is, then thats ok. Use the PNG sequencing. Both work fine. So why the need to make fuss? Just do what works for you.
      Now we have taken up enough time on this thread that is supposed to be prmoting the wonderful work done by Declan Walsh, and I really dont think its fair of either of us to take the spotlight away from him. So I tell you what. Why dont you pop over to my Facebook page and we can continue to discuss this if you feel the need to.

      I disagree. I think its very clever and shows just how fast you can get results combining 2D animation with real world footage. Do you have something better to show, because Id be keen to see comparisons.
