This is my opinion on email masking or forwarding services : AFAIK the current (free) available sites which provides the services are pretty new to market. So relying on them would be the biggest problem. Consider firefox relay. Its still in testing phase. So we won't know whether firefox will continue this as major tool or not. Before that signing up on major platforms with those alias emails would be risky.
