Hey! Thank you for watching!
If you are interested in BTS from shoots & editing, I invite you to follow my IG for that:

Great video! However, your circular image obscures part of what you are doing in the resolve UI. Might want to re-think that size/placement of the picture in picture :). Also, would be nice to see the finished product at the start of the video so that we know what we are working towards :)
100% - I am all with the points you‘re making and I thank you for pointing that out!
The thing is, my freelance stuff took over this year heavily, I‘m basically on the road 24/7 going from one festival to the next shooting and edit somewhere in between and due to that my upload schedule here was completely messed up but I really wanted to make a video but I had to rush it hard (and that was the result) 😂 In my mind I just thought ‚better done than perfect‘ but as I said I totally agree with the points you’ve made and I appreciate you pointing this out! I really gotta find a better balance 😁
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals We don't want excuses, just results! Chop, chop! :)
@@badGamr for sure! I gotta say, the next one is already in the pipeline! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Just razzin you. man :)
Finally! Glad I found your video. This is much better than having to redo the work every time. Thanks brother!
Syrer appreciate that man! Happy to hear it was helpful to you!🙏🏽
Absolutely lit. Your videos are so good ⭐
Thank you so much! Appreciate that!🙌🏽
Will check this out later bro. Thanks for sharing
Awesome bro! Appreciate that man 🙌🏽
That's really good tutorial!
Thank you! I appreciate that!! 🤝🏽
Thank You So Much for This Helpful Tutorial :)
You're most welcome man! Appreciate that!
This was a killer tut!!! Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate that! Thank you so much 🙏🏽
Thanks for this video.
You are most welcome man! Appreciate the comment!🙏🏽
Damn bro, this is so cool. I have just included this on my workflow
Great Tuto ! Thanks !
Thanks Dejan! Super happy that you liked it! :)
Excellent as always brother 🤘 - thanks so much for sharing 🙏
Hey Gary! Super happy to hear that! Thank you so much brother! Hope everything‘s good with you? Cheers!🙌🏽
Thanks brother
You’re most welcome!
Nice ❤
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏽
why would you place your picture over what you are talking about.
thanks sooo much
I dont know what you are really talking about as I cannot follow along in the beginning not seeing in advance what you are actually building. The way you explain itself is great!
Omg danke
Nichts zu danken, immer gerne! Freut mich, wenn es geholfen hat!:)
Ja sowas von!!!!! Wegen dir erspar ich mir in Zukunft soooo viel Zeit
sir , very nice video but i wish your video can have some space reallocation since your body sometimes block the part i want to see
How would you achieve this effect if you wanted to zoom in on something that wasn't center screen? Everytime I move the zoom keyframe spline like these, it makes the x,y positions go crazy!
Use the pivot point on the transform node and place it where you want it to zoom in, that‘ll solve your issue. Don’t use the x / y position then
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thanks man!
Hey Sebastian, hope you are doing well. I love your webcam Can you please make a tutorial on that ?
Thanks! The camera I use is the BMPCC 6K for pretty much all of my videos!:)
So, where is the final result? Your circular frame is hiding the vital information on the screen, by the way.
Seems like you haven’t watched the video - but don’t worry, I did it for you!:)
Min 3.50 for the zoom in
I cant move the handles on ipad version. Is it not possible
I don’t own and use an iPad, sorry!
I created it in fusion and it works In fusion but the transition is not showing up on my timeline
I‘ve had another person having the same issue, figured out he used a ‚fusion clip‘ instead of an ‚adjustment clip‘ - maybe that’s your problem as well?
Hi Sebastian the circular image ........ !
hey I can't find lens distortion in the new davinvchi is there anyway you can explain how to use the lens distort for the same affect
Hey man! It's in the fusion page, press "shift" + "spacebar" to bring up the search tool and type in lens - now you can see 2 different lens distortions which you can both use to create this type of effect - one is easier, the other one is a little more complex! :)
Quick question: do you know if there's a way to make an ajustment layer to speed ramp and save it in power bins? I find it's very repititive to retime controls, curves, ease in, ease out, etc...over and over again each time I want to add a speed ramp. Thanks brother!
Hey man! I don‘t think that‘s possible to be honest and I don’t mind that. If you’re doing it often, you’ll get super fast and since every clip needs different speed points, it wouldn’t be that helpful to have an adjustment clip with fixed / set speed points and ramps!:)
Hy Sebastian,
1) is there a way to mark the center of that adjustment clip with a marker or an anchor point? In this way, it would be easier to find the center when using it.
2) as i know, when reinstalling OS, we loose all our data in PowerBins and MasterBins.
Is that true?
What workarounds could be made to save those effects?
Hey man!
To answer your first question, I don’t think there’s a way to mark the center - I tried using a marker, but when I dragged that back to the timeline the marker was gone - the only way really is to use the arrow keys and count the frames.
Your second question should be solved when doing a database backup before updating/ reinstalling resolve and then import the backup!:)
Do you have that zoom effect for sale on your website?
Unfortunately not, but over the next weeks I will release 2 transition packs specifically for davinci resolve that‘s unlike you‘ve ever seen before for this software! 🙌🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals that's dope man! i really need something simple and believable like this that feels like a lens zoom. i'll definitely cop your transitions pack if it'll have something like this.
Bro, put sample of effect at hook of the video please, it Will bring you more views
I appreciate that man, but to bring in more views, it‘s just the thumbnail & the title - because if people see or don’t see an example at the beginning doesn’t matter, they already clicked the video and it counted as view! But I know what you mean man! The thing is, this is an educational channel where I teach people video editing. If people wanna learn different techniques, they spend the time watching the video regardless of the sample. If people click away even though they want to learn something, it’s questionable whether or not they really want to learn that damn thing or not - and for real, if I click a video, I‘ll watch it. I‘m not gonna support that ‚2sec attention span adhd ape kids‘ culture! :)
How would you take a video of your eye?
Putting the camera on a tripod, setting focus and pressing record. How would you do it??
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals I’m asking cuz I don’t really know. Thanks for letting me know how.
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals should I use a wide camera? I got a 20, 35, 50 and 85 mm which of this should I use to take the video?
@@babyandromeda8762 I would use a 50 or an 85!:)
be nice to have a finished example of the end result at the start of the video so we know what we're learning to begin with
Many people have commented that on this video and on other videos of me. The answer will still be the same throughout: if you really want to learn something, you‘ll sit through the video regardless:)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals how am I supposed to know that I really want to learn something without knowing what I'm learning 🤔I spent 2-3 min scrubbing to see if this is the Zoom effect I'm going for. Tutorials and any teaching environment come with an introduction to what is being taught.
@@SlaterNT if you wouldn’t want to learn a zoom transition in the first place, you wouldn’t have clicked on the video. The first ‚result‘ is shown at around 5 minutes into the video - if you then say well, that’s not something I want to learn you have lost absolutely nothing but still learnt a way that might potentially be helpful to you in the future. It‘s never about the result, it‘s all about the steps you take that’ll get you there - that‘s it. But my videos for sure aren’t the right fit for everyone
Do you have a Discord Channel I have a Problem with a Zoom transition, its a Adjustment-Clip but it do nothing in a other Project :/
No, I don’t have a discord, but you can always send an email with a few screenshots or screen recordings to the mail address linked to this channel!:)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Yeah that sould maybe help a lot :)
Can you make this transition where we can just download it??
Yeah, I could but unfortunately I really have absolutely zero time to do so - but it only takes 9.5 mins if you follow the tutorial and you have them yourself - or, if you know the steps, it‘ll take roughly 2 minutes without the tutorial!😁
YOU IN THAT CIRCLE IS NOT THE VIDEO ANY FAVORS, I CANT SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING
please nest time make your video clearly because your talking video is in the screen i cannot see it clearly. make it more smaller.thnks
started to watch the video, easy to follow but stopped after a couple of mins as the insert of you is just to big, very distracting. im sure not all your videos are like this.
Hey! I can understand this 100%! Other comments have pointed this out as well - my videos usually aren’t like that (if I get to make them - my schedule has been completely messed up over the past couple months) - over the summer freelance stuff went crazy and I‘m on the road almost 24/7, but I really wanted to make this video and not miss another week, so I had to rush it as I barely had half a day at home before I had to leave again! The next videos will be more thought-out and better when it comes to the overall watching experience!:) I really do appreciate this feedback though!:)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thank you for the reply, Its good to know that you are taking notice of the comments. hope that you find some time for yourself, it can be very difficult working for yourself. all the best to you
