That "Mr Jones and me.... we dont see each other much anymore." Hits way harder into your 30's 😂
I love this song. Sometimes I Sing It. I don't know If everybody loves me.
Ha !
The one time he sang this song close to the album cut, live.
Best live version by far
Performed, not "sang". There's a reason they aired a shot of the back of his head when they were recording his face. They also didn't even turn up the volume of the electric guitarist. You can very faintly hear him when he hits the pedal, but it's not at all what the instrumental is playing. That's what happens when your sound engineer/"guitarist" creates conceptual albums that surpass your live music abilities. Before Counting Crows, he was, a sound engineer for other artists. There's not even a wikipedia page for him to this day. Probably dosen't want too much digging to go on. (Just my theory)
Finally, despite having two guitar parts on the album version, there literally wasn't even a second guitarist until popularity dictated they perform it live. Likely because it was created on a computer and neither of them were (or are) capable of singing or playing it live anywhere near how he, the sound engineer/"guitarist", created it. Also pretty sure the sound guy at Woodstock was intentionally f-ing with him since he refused to sing it live. Saw them about 11 years ago. They just skipped the song altogether...their most popular song of alltime! They're about one or two steps up from Milli Vanilli in my opinion.
@@TheLoneCamperThat's interesting, I saw them around 2008, and they skipped Mr Jones too. People were pissed.
Funny, but true. He’s terrible live. Just sing the freaking melody, Adam, and maybe try to be in the same key as the band….
Brings back so many memories of what the 90s were about. We all found something in common and just vibed. Never thinking about the color of someone's skin, their financial status etc.we all just melted together and left the hate, the division and politics to our parents generation. Threats of war, worrying about acid rain and the ozone layer, growing up in a time of divorce and the breakdown of the family, we just carried on, untouched by the chaos in the world. We found love and acceptance in our circles. It really was an amazing time to be a teen/college kid. This song is one of many 90s anthems that instantly throws you back to better times.
What an amazing performance! I bet the rest of the festival went off without a hitch!
😆
😅😂🤣
God I miss those old days!!
I LOVE Counting Crows!
the rioting actually started because of the sound mixing during this performance
oh my god, so very true, listen to the bass itself
@@djtimemasheen7585Sound like the soundcheck😳
@@johnupdate Adam Duritz had an amazing performance all the same.
Oh, Dear..
Well, it wasn’t because of Charlie Gillingham, the Accordion Player, that’s for sure ! Seamless ! Could Listen to him and the Acoustic Guitar endlessly and Never Grow Tired !!
My best pub song.Always 😢
Best festival of all time.
F*cking incredible. I think my favorite song of all time is Catapult. These dudes may look a little stressed but they're still just BRINGIN' it, and that's Rawk & Roll too...
So romantic and what a great feel.
🎶🎼🎶🎼🎶🎼🎶🎼🎶🎼👉♥️
Ne Gosto até hoje
that's one drunk, probably high, sound engineer.
It's one fakeass "live" performance is what it is. Got a camera pointed right at his mouth and they choose to air the one of the back of his head.
wow. That was intense. In all sorts of ways! great song
Amazing
Wrna vokal sweety 👍😇
Charlie Gillingham, their Accordion Player, accordion line and acoustic guitar line, so spare and Beautiful - Gets me, Every Time
Sometimes I am lonely. But no problem, I need this time.
Awesome!
Gracias. Invalorable recuerdo de la década del 90. Bendiciones.
I was there.
Brother where is your legendary brown jacket?
I can't even listen to the original because this rendition is the g.o.a.t

I wanna be a lion . But everybody wants to pass as Kats. . We all wanna be big big stars. .✌🏼🕯️🤘😎🍺👍🇺🇸☝️🤔😜🥥👀😐🥥😜but we all got different reasons for that
Mega
La más parecida!
Fuck,i love it
That is funny how he reversed a few of the lyric lines compared to the released version after having experienced being a rock star for a few years.
Crunchy rockcountry
0:14 When the instrument u play looks nowhere near cool, but u give it a fair try
♡♡
What song was the band playing?
Sept 29, 2023
Uahuahhuauahh .. ..
so you wanna be a rock 'n roll star ? listen now to what I have to say: just get an electric guitar, take some time and learn how to play.

Please, post it in 720 or 1080. These concerts from Woodstock because quality 480 spoils the picture: / or make them available for download as normal. .

Gk susah ambil tekhnik vokal yg jrg x
Mud clod in Adams face would be great!!!!!
Flee for refuge from eternal punishment. Why should you suffer forever for your sin? Your refuge is in Jesus Christ alone!
God has already been proven with many points of Light, so it's time to flee eternal Hell while there's still time.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Is this a shreds parody? Sincerely asking....
Saw them in Vancouver in 2017(?) with Matchbox 20. The were awful... I love a good band going off-beat etc and bringing it back to the song they are playing but they were a f*cking mess.
Bruh that bass almost break my ears. Horrible sound engineer
Mr jones passed too many bottles to him
Counting Crows are definitely not a live band
And then Covid happened. Thanks Bill Gates
Hahaha rt
22 years later

Horrible
That was 1999! Give it a break!
@@lisarosser8372 they would've sounded great but the sound guy definitely messed up bad
That was badass live 200k plus audience. He represents my home of Maryland to me in the 90's. Loved the Counting Crows as a kid.
