We only eat whole wheat bread (be careful what is listed as the first ingredient to ensure it's actually the real deal, you can get tricked on this one too). Never liked white bread, wheat is just so much more flavorful.

Proper way tell if American cheese has more real cheese or not: if it says anything about being a cheese product on it and doesn't in any big text say "Cheese", it has things added to make it cheaper.

American cheese is 51% real cheese. Also, American cheese will melt while cheddar gets greasy. American is the choice of restaurants.

everything is a lie in american food. great and it jus keeps me on my toes constantly with what im
putting in my body.
Not everything in the US is a lie. It's just a majority of items are made to be cheap which is usually the price than starving. After all at the end all of these products are edible. If an apocalypse happened I'd be thankful for any food I can scavenge even if it's processed.
