    I really hope Framework will have an Intel variant for Framework 16. Preferably with CAMM2 memory. I really want my next laptop to be Arrow Lake, but with 128+GB of RAM, which so few offer.

      @@akshat8586 For productivity, it might not be worse. There's instances where Arrow Lake is the fastest CPU. And I do work on my laptop, though I don't really know if for what I do it's Intel or AMD that are the fastest.
      The other part, is not rational, I kind of see Intel as the underdog now, and I want to support them. I like the direction they're going now and I hope they maintain it (and go over their current woes). I don't want it to die.

      @@Winnetou17 There's no instance Arrow Lake is the fastest. They're providing 2020 performance today. The new AMD Chip is 402% faster compared to Core Ultra 9 288V in Blender, let that sink in.

    I really hope Intel can significantly redesign the P-cores, as the core performance of P-cores currently has a substantial gap compared to the ARM architecture.

      Intel's P-Cores really need a MAJOR rework though. 3x larger than skymont, consuming way more power for just 5-10% higher IPC than Skymont? That's yikes.

    As an Intel fan, I wantIntel's next Graphics card to simply beat 5090 in a greater margin subtly like how they did with 4060, 4060ti using B570

      They'll use the B570 to build out driver support. Not worth building high-end GPUs until driver support reaches flagship level. That said, I'd also love to see even a 5080 competitor from Intel. Before even considering competing with 5090, they'll have to flesh out AI support for python/R libraries and local LLMs. Something to compete with CUDA.

      I have a 4070. Pretty much all i need. I dont think they need to move much passed the 4070 ti with 16 gigs to be successful with pc gamer.

    at least for mobile light laps needed to launch next gen sooner than the end of this year lunar lake like soc since it got the potential but not widely available since on package memory constraints as i read and got the efficiency but two gen behind in terms of performance compared to apple . needed mid year one just for efficient seekers

      Panther 18a is where I would upgrade from my Nehalem.
      Picture it. 15 year gap, looks like it would finally be worth it in my eyes, but also not excited by the idea of big+small cores on desktop, which is clearly repurposed laptop architectures. So honestly I would keep waiting for HEDT, years longer.
      I'm just not interested anymore.
      Mainly because of where consumer's wallets have led us to, and it's trajectory.

      Why are you even bothering with Intel anymore ? AMD just launched an actual Apple competitor which has good battery life while also being between M4 Pro and M4 Max in performance in CPU and GPU both.

      @@PixelatedWolf2077 Ryzen AI Max+ 395 which is 402% faster than Core Ultra 9 288V in blender classroom and at minimum 384% faster in 3D Rendering tasks. Even last year the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 was a lot faster than Intel while being cheaper too and remember these chips are highly efficient and meant for thin and lights with very high performance and battery life.

    Fix thunderbolt 2 compatibility with thunderbolt 4 on Intel Core Ultra. Audio community is flooded with thunderbolt 2 devices. Don't turn your back on the audio community. At least make a thunderbolt firmware downgrade tool so thunderbolt 2 devices works on thunderbolt 4.

    That is more likely to meet what we have been expecting the king of CPU to tell the world how strong and best Intel is. For those Intel's non-technical presentation in CES 2025 before, that were not as persuasive as this one, because even the CEO or deputy were not showing their confidence in the product to the world. To make the presentations to be tangible, it needs digits, comparisons, familiarization in business, technical aspects, and market, and confidence. This time, the presentation has re-declared they are the king. Intel, don't 'waste each chance to show off, keep going!!

      Right. There is only the 21% mark comparison for performance per watt against the 185H but does it means that we can expect 21% extra battery efficiency with a 285H in a laptop for example?

      The Core Ultra 9 isn't bad by any means. It's a very powerful and capable CPU. The problem is that it's not particularly good value, and AMD options exist which are cheaper and offer similar or battery performance in one or the other application.

      @@auritro3903 Similar battery life....Dude AMD is dead last on all battery test behind Qualcomm, Apple and Intel. Even same chassis laptops with Qualcomm, Intel and AMD will show result where AMD is behind by 1-2 hours. Not to mention Intel is better in ST, which is more important for your everyday task.

    Why are they so focused on Qualcomm processor comparisons and not their usual competition such as AMD? That's just suspicious 😅 like they trying to avoid comparing the AMD chips who are their strongest competitiors for CPUs...

      Because, in client, Intel doesn't see AMD as a threat. AMD can't compete where it matters to Intel. Qualcomm and ARM present a very differentiated threat/challenge. The irony here is that Qualcomm will likely take market share from AMD and not Intel.

      Amd isn't competition in term of efficiency test because they sucks so bad at it, Qualcomm is the only worth benchmark for Intel. Even Intel Lunar Lake beating qualcomm x elite CPU at performance efficiency while totally demolished any Amd CPU in comparison.

    bruh these things are gonna get absolutely destroyed by strix halo parts. like the absolute best they have, the 285hx is like 30% better than ai 375 on avg. keep in mid that's with 50% more power draw. 285hx has 8p cores and 16 e cores meanwhile ai 375 has 4 p cores and 8 e cores. strix halo hx 395 has 16 p cores and 40 core gpu.💀💀that's gonna put these things in ground.

      AMD products beat everyone as long as they remain in power point . Just like their Mi300x claims. When they FINALLY (after being called out by the industry) were forced to release MLPerf metrics they could barely keep up with last generation Nvidia parts. But that's not what Lisa Su told everyone....

      Not in America. Intel has lots of contracts with business laptops. That is where Lunar Lake CPU thrives. High single core performance, good battery life, good ports, and full X86 compatibility.
      AMD doesn't have access to that maket in mass. AMD dominates the gaming industry right now. PS5, Xbox series X, PS5 Pro, and mini-PC gaming.

      I'm happy about AMD's competition, and their products are really good (I'm using an AMD device right now), but saying "AMD has completely taken over the CPU market" is such a massive and hilarious stretch.
