@@yuiceboy they usually use kicks to keep distance and I think part of it is traditional. Muay Thai fighters have crazy chins and they use them as defense and offense

because boxing and muay thai sparring is very diffrent boxers hit with a little extra power when they spare but muay thai just let it flow without a bunch of power
@@mangothugshake. yep. That's also because boxing your using more movement so your taking less damage, muay Thai using some movement but it's mainly blocking the hits an them countering. So your taking more damage since your not dodging as much as boxers do

Nice but I think the last sparring match got a little too rough for no head gear. With sparring gloves the punches don’t hurt, but it’s still a lot of small impacts on your brain. Plus You gotta read the room. Everyone around them is light sparring. That might be the gyms atmosphere, and you never want to be the new guy going too hard in sparring.

I think you got what it takes Dean to be a great overall fighter I would love to see you be the first UA-cam / boxer to actually step in the cage at least once do something different than all the other influencers they have all these UA-camrs just want to MMA fighters to box and MMA fighters showing that they ain't scared they handicap themselves and hopping there with someone who has mastered boxing in the meantime all the UA-camr / boxers have avoided the cage like the plague because they're all too scared I think you could be the first to pull it off

As a Muay Thai guy who also does Boxing, the whole room was light sparring even when fighting against you & you're hard sparring them in response putting in cringey edits acting cocky beating on non Boxers when you've taken away 90% of their arsenal, of course you're going to look good. If I was light sparring someone & they hit me hard I'd give one warning, the next time it wouldn't stay a Boxing match I'd go full Thai. Would have no problem kicking someone in the face or slamming my knee into their gut if they're gonna be an a$$ in sparring. Use only Boxing against a Thai fighter or try Muay Thai in some sparring matches looking good, then you can act cocky.
I’d go with the knee to the side of the ribs in the clinch. That would knock this kid down a peg.
@@geneevans7885 Yeah it's not as easy to walk someone down staying right in their pocket when you have to worry about clinching/knees/kicks/elbows. Taking a strong knee to the ribs would definitely stop someone pulling the shlt he pulled.

A lot of y’all never sparred mma guys i box and used to help a few get ready for fights standup only and they always spar hard but deen probably did take it a little more serious than them
A boxer will 9/10 lose to a muay thai fighter. Boxing has good punches and foot work but that’s all it has going for it. Muay Thai has more tools, harder conditioning and is proven far more effective in combat. Boxing and Muay Thai go hand in hand but very VERY few boxers have ever beaten muay thai. And most boxers went home with brused to broken legs. Boxers never protect nor condition their legs. They are not trained for it.
Boxing is king of hands, the game changes when you have kicks or grappling.
