I strongly disagree! you have to practice realistic situations. This is child’s play. No angels, no judge of distance, no combinations from the other kid. They need to do better, some people are hungry out here n want this way more. Go 100% or don’t do it you’ll just get hurt. You don’t play boxing!
This is okay when you first start sparring but sparring like this will get you KO’d inside an actual fight eventually he needs to go in there without hesitation and go with intent to hurt with guys his own level or someone much better that will let him work and no I’m not saying he should KO his training partners you can stop yourself if you see your sparring partner hurt

I seen alot of guys who are aggressive in a real fight and are really good but they pace themselves a little more when sparring.

He’s probably having a difficult time because his coach keeps nagging and getting annoyed... Yelling at him. (I’m just assuming the guy is his coach. Idk for sure. ) Just let the man spar for God sake. He’ll move around and throw more punches when he’s ready and sees the opportunity. He’s honestly probably not feeling it anymore since he has to hear the guy nagging every time he does something or stops doing something. Deen you’re a real one for coaching him on in between and telling him he’s doing good💯💪🏽 I know the coach have good intentions, but bro, breathe a little.🤌 At least give him a chance to let it sink in. Let him move at a pace that he’s comfortable with at least for the moment.
@@eugenereacts so at his fight let’s say his coach is telling him what to exploit that the fighter is not picking up on quick enough and gets ko’d or bullied the entire fight we blame the nagging coach? Easy to see who been in the sport and who hasn’t.
@@BallIsLife353332 I get what you’re saying. It’s possible. But I’m saying the constant nagging. It’s repetitive. In fact things or said so often that he’s probably more focused on what the coach is yelling rather than his opponent. The coach could at least give him time to adjust and process everything. Yelling at him would really do nothing. He’s probably more focused on what the coach is yelling, trying not to get nagged at further. Which ultimately puts him in a greater position to get nagged at because he’s trying to correct himself before even making his next move. Imagine being in a fight and your Dad or whoever is constantly yelling at you “you’re doing this wrong and you should be doing this” “move faster and throw more pushes”. You would be more focused on the person yelling at you, correct? All in all I’m just saying that’s a lot of pressure to be under. He already have Deen throwing punches at him. I’m sure the last thing he needs is someone yelling in his ear. Noticed that when Deen started coaching and decided to turn up a little the dude adjusted and worked more. It’s probably best to let the man work on his time. Coach him, sure. Nagging him would only caused frustration to HIM. Being present and actually working with him gives you a better product. As it was demonstrated when deen upped it. And honestly, everyone fights differently. It might take a few blows to the head In order for someone to understand that their hands should stay up protecting their face. That their hands should come back up to their face after throwing a punch. It’s easiest to be outside the ring looking in, nagging wanting to correct something. There in two different spaces. The pressure is not the same. I’m not saying the coach is a bad coach. I left plenty of comments. I saluted the coach for wanting to see progressive out of his fighter. I just see that constantly yelling/nagging at him isn’t going to get him to do what he wants him to do. We all see it. If it’s not working after the constant nagging then something has to change. Pull him to the side and work with him on his weakness.
Loving this video because you trying to teach him, we can tell when you going your hardest but John just wasn’t feeling it it’s like he was lacking confidence but still a good video
I'm in the gym all the time. You can tell this kid has a fully amateur style. Meaning he is used to boxing for the points. Nothing wrong with that...dean didn't push him though. Prolly not to risk injury before a fight. But, these amateur tournaments get ruthless. Dog fights with crazy output.
