Brock Purdy proved to be a good runner last year when he had to scamper. He's sneaky fast. He's also strong enough to get out of the clutch of defensive linemen. I've seen him do that more than once. Purdy is not some player that has to stay in the pocket. People keep underestimating him even after he proves them wrong in real live games. o
Nick actually doesn't watch Brock pay he just watches once the ball is caught
He keeps up this nonsense "tight window" and "off schedule" narrative that are completely debunked by the numbers and tape. He doesn't watch.
It’s not gonna happen again next year only reason why it worked was because nobody even the teammates or commentators knew he would run. Once you start taking that away he’s really not dynamic he’s still a 12-17 qb

The hate of Purdy is reminiscent of Brady’s first few seasons. Game manager. Teams too good. Great defense.

No sh!t!!!! Every QB needs a great supporting cast to be great! Why do people act like other QBs are doing everything on their own?
If anything, Russ is the only QB I’ve seen repeatedly drag deficient teams to the playoffs.
I know this thread isn’t about Russ, but with Nick Wright, there’s an agenda, and it’s to keep as much distance as he can between #15 and #3, and he has benefitted from Pete Carroll’s poor judgment in Russ’s last few years in Seattle, and from Russ’s poor decision to go to Denver.

And then choked against the chiefs when it mattered most. Lamars a choker.
It really is just nuts how the dude led the league in TD passes before and he wins 75% of his games and there is this narrative he can’t be a winner. Nick is grossly biased but it makes sense he picked them to miss the playoffs last year
It literally makes no sense whatsoever, he put up a big playoff game with 30+ and then lost to the team everyone loses to but apparently he is a “negative” what a joke
Behave, Lamar was the reason the Ravens have lost those playoff games. He gets tight and throws terribly
@@Jbuckets23He underperforms in 80% of his playoff games.
@roykeane1922 lamar is not the reason they stopped running the ball. They went from 25-30 rb runs a game to 7 or 8. You expect the players to get flustered and make mistakes when the winning gameplan they had all year gets abandoned. It's not that they expected him to throw. It's that they expected him to only throw, and the team spent half the time running beforehand. If the chiefs only ran 8 pass plays an entire game and lost, would we blame mahomes?
Not to mention this was all done against one of the worst run defensive teams in the league. I don't like the nfl is rigged narrative but the way the ravens coaching staff called plays, and ran the offense was abysmal and it just so happened to have been against the chiefs.
No one is claiming that lamars arms are the reason he's a threat. But when you take away his legs by calling pass plays, you are trying to put him in the shoes of someone he isn't. It's sad really.
Lamar has been 22nd or below in passing the last 4 years. He is not a natural passer and would be riding the bench if it wernt for his legs.

All those quarterbacks Nick named he'd have over Lamar have at one time all had elite receiver(s). Like let's be 100% honest here
And Lamar has a top 3 def, top 5 TE, top 5 HC and franchise. Oh and the best kicker ever...
@codywirth8190 My entire point is that normally, a team brings in an elite receiver for their star QB in order to make things easier for them. Lamar is the only one who never got that. Pat had it, so did Burrow, Josh, Stafford, Rodgers, Hurts, Dak, Kyle Murray, etc
I really wish football “analysts” would stop making the argument “we’ve seen these two QBs against each other.” They don’t have to play against each other lol
Will the real Nick Wright please stand up? No Josh Allen hate? It's a miracle!
I almost thought I heard something that could be misconstrued as a compliment.
Stefan Diggs was an ok receiver pre-Bills. When he came to the Bills he got into the conversation as best receiver. They clicked and both elevated the other. Lamar keeps defences up at night, but all his real clunkers happen in the playoffs.
Lamar has 7 total touchdowns and 10 turnovers in the playoffs,
Josh Allen has 25 total TD and 10 turnovers - it is not even CLOSE
Allen has 27 total tds in playoffs
Allen had Diggs a number 1 receiver 🤷🏾♂️
@@tayboog6837 diggs #'s in the playoffs are not good except for one year. Look it up. Defenses took him away the last 3 years.
@@tayboog6837Diggs is non existent in the playoffs
You got Trevor Lawrence and Baker ahead of Purdy. List is invalid
2:58 Got him. Hypocorism at its finest. Cj’s worse game came in the playoffs too and it was vs Lamar and he got called out then changed the narrative.
But he was a rookie for nicks case and showed promise in his playoff win. So the future from a playoff perspective looks great for Stroud. Lamar on the other hand doesn’t show that promise
@@venom8598 He just won an MVP and took his team to conference finals 😂. Who had a better season that him besides Mahommes?

Man we were spoiled the last 20 years we had 4 Hof Superbowl winning QBs all playing at once to now just Patrick Mahomes and a bunch of guys who struggle to have 2 great seasons back to back.
Caleb Williams should be 32

How is the guy that lead the lg in passing at 18 😭😭😭😭 you telling me Kirk cousins coming off an Achilles better than Tua oh lord 🤦🏾♂️
Simms thinks Tua only throws screen passes to Tyreek. The QB guru somehow missed the fact that he led the league in downfield passing
CJ Stroud has played 1 year and has 1 playoff win; Lamar has played 6 years and has 2 playoff wins. How much of a sample size does one need to conclude that Lamar just isn't good in the playoffs?
And progressing into his late 20s now, relying mostly on athleticism. His time being seen as near elite is quickly running out.
We're talking about here and now and both went 1-1 in the playoffs
How many MVPs and superbowls does cj strouds

It's crazy how everyone forgets how bad Josh Allen was without Diggs
we forget diggs didn't even rank in the top 20 before josh Allen
Everybody looks bad with tomato cans
Diggs had his best years as a pro with Allen. John Brown had his best years as a pro with Allen. Cole Beasley had his best years as a pro with Allen.
People also forget Diggs made it just as far with Case Keenum as his QB. Diggs had a game winning walk off TD to take his team to the NFC championship and guys act like he was nothing without Josh
Crazy how you must've forgot his #1 receiver was an obese Kelvin Benjamin and Allen was one of the most raw prospects coming out of college, thrown straight into it. He didnt have the luxury to sit a full year and then start throwing the ball to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.
1. Tom Brady (still)
2. Joe Burrow
3. Justin Herbert
4. Patrick Mahomes
Kyler at 16 is insane 😭
Kyler ahead of Purdy, lol
Why is that insane.....I'm not even sure if you're upset that he is too high or too low lol
@@mikep3813 Kyler is easily top 12
@@Seddysaid kyler is garbage ever since he became afraid to run. He is soft and does not really care about winning.
His 1st 2 years he was good because his run threat, but after getting hit hard a few too many times he is way too scared to run now.
Without that threat he is not a good QB. His arm talent is bad and he is a midget which makes it hard to be a pocket passer. W/O running he is bottom of the NFL type QB.
Make your receivers great Lamar. Going into this season, the Texans was said to have trash receivers. Now you say they have good receivers. CJ made them great
Nick says: “CJ doesn’t have a negative track record, Lamar does! His worst game of the year was the last one in the playoffs”
Meanwhile reality: CJ Strouds worst game this year was his last game where his offense scored a total of 3 points and he lost to Lamar who had 4 tds.
Can't Wait Until The Season Starts.
Man the harbaughs are untouchable. Seriously. They neveeerrrr talk about the coach. Mike McCarthy was killlled for only winning one Super Bowl(lucky) and not doing anything else
Please don’t compare Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson
@@roykeane1922 Joe Flacco you mean? He was the QB during the Super Bowl. No one compared them. I’m comparing the coach. The ravens coach. Also chokes. A lot of bad play calling and defensive breakdowns in those games. Media only talks about Lamar

@@roykeane1922 you compared Lamar to harden. The rockets coached was fired 🤣🤣 because of all the choking and bad play calling. Team not playing defense. lol no blame on play calling. Lamar obviously has the skill. Look at the plays they ran. It’s almost like he threw the game on purpose
@@glennsawyer836 exactly…and what happened after they fired him? Harden kept choking in the playoffs everywhere he went. You just keep making my points for me 🤣
Harden has some of the most insane statistical seasons of all time, he is clear of Lamar
Caleb Williams will benefit greatly from his time with Brock Purdy. I think that this is brilliant. Why don't more rookie QB do this? I love this.
Nobody with 2 healthy eyes would say lamar is better than josh
Lamar has been better than Allen since college
I think you’re wrong to suggest this. It’s definitely a good argument for either one. Especially because Lamar has two mvps and neither one has a Super Bowl. I personally would have Joe burrow at 2 over both of them.
There is maybe 1 intelligent analyst on this show at any given time i swear
Did Nick just mention Brock WITHOUT HATING ON him????!!!!! 😱😱😱😱
eh, he said he doesnt play off schedule . Yea, he does
no
Who are we kidding? Purdy is ranked that low because he was the last pick in the draft. He’s gone toe to toe with everyone and has been exceptional.
Nick's argument against Lamar can be applied to any QB. You're most likely to lose if you're having a bad game. Especially in the playoffs!
Don’t know how you can do any mental gymnastics to defend Lamar in the playoffs
It’s funny because CJ Strouds worst game of the year was his last playoff game…where he lost to Lamar and scored 3 total points of offense

This is so disrespectful to Lamar. All the top QB accolades went to 3 people in the last 6 years.. MVPs and 1st Team All-Pros. Mahomes , Rodgers ,and Lamar... That's it ..What has Josh Allen done? What has Joe Burrow done? Getting to the SB and losing is a team accomplishment but if it wasn't then give Jim Kelly his Flowers he deserve.
I guarantee you these people (and other media people ) don't watch the majority of the 49ers games...they are way too busy to watch the majority of the nfl games (with 32 teams). They probably just go to their meetings and go over the talking points that are outlined for them by their producers.
Jordan Love at 13 is straight disrespectful!
CJ Stroud over Dak, Hurts and Goff is insane.
Glad to see the debate is over for Mahomes. Currently in a class of his own amongst active QB’s and the only people in the same realm as him right now is Tom Brady and Joe Montana. When he goes 3 in a row, it is only him and Brady. And him and Brady would be side by side at that point with another decade left to go in Mahomes career. We are watching history in the making with Mahomes.
You guys miss the obvious. Josh Allen's SB run has always been stopped by either KC (Superbowl champs) or one year against the Bengals (Went to the SB that season). So yes, JA is the 2nd best QB in the league until he wins a SB.
Most L take someone could have
Actually the year the Bills were stopped by the Bengals was the year the Chiefs ended up beating the Bengals in the AFC Championship. That said given the Bills performance against the Bengals in that divisional round where they scored like 10 points at home and never looked like they could win or claw their way back into the game because of Josh Allen's decision making in that game makes it absolutely debatable between him and Joe Burrow.
I agree because Josh Allen’s playoff production is insane, he has like 24 tds and 4 interceptions. He has been pretty unlucky with playing against Mahomes.
@@donovan4222he played bad against the bengals too
@@rogerwilliams6260 Yeah but 3 of his losses are against the chiefs. I think if the chiefs were in the NFC he would have at least 1 or 2 Super Bowl appearances by now
Nicks argument on lamar can be the same for allen
Lamar has enjoyed the benefit of a VASTLY better defense in Baltimore than Josh has had in Buffalo. Not even close. Virtually every game the Bills lose it's because of the defense -- including many where Josh has given the Bills the lead the last time he left the field of play, only for the defense to cough up the winning score. Also, Hosh is a MUCH TOUGHER runner than Lamar is and absorbs much more physical punishment. Josh Allen SHOULD have been the "MVP" over Lamar last year.
This is honestly the best QB rating list I’ve seen. Brock should 100% be around the Kyler/Baker area.
Yeah but people don’t wanna admit it’s a team sport, they want to act like Purdy is out there doing it all on his own, and ignore the fact he’s playing on a completely stacked team
Which is big considering where he got drafted to be in the same area with past first round picks is impressive. Imagine what he can do when he improves.
