how the lord speaks. he sent me to fast 40 days but unfortunately i admit that i’ve failed over and over and it makes me want to stray away from the lord. my encounter with this video proves how merciful he is and how he still thinks i can carry out this assignment. Horrible, awful plan. Let's kill my kid because my other kids were being bad so to save them from the hell I created for them they must buy into vicarious atonement through human sacrifice. Then I'm going to put the message in a book that if full of errors just to make it that much harder to get. Bad plan.

This is beautiful. We fast most times because we are trying to get something from God - an answer or manifestation what we have asked for or are expecting. We forget that it is really about encounter and allowing God to Speak and shoe us His Will. In addition, what He wants and desires. Encounter opens the doors of Heaven to inspiration in dimensions we never even imagined possible

i’m on day 19 of 40 days vihan! you were one of the first persons i saw on youtube who did a 40 day fast 2 years ago it encouraged me and the Holy Spirit was encouraging me then too now it’s time to go through with it. I did end up eating quite a bit on day 16 but i wasn’t going to give up. one thing i need to do is get off media and entertainment especially my PHONE! i’m not working right now

In case there are any people out here thinking they can’t fast for 40 days, try an easier version! Try for 1 day, 5 days, one week! Go from little by little until you are strong enough by the Holy Spirit to continue going further!
In the beginning fasting can be done by skipping one meal or fasting for a particular time. For example - fasting till 12'Oclock noon. When I feel hungry during fasting I tell myself "you are not going to die if you don't eat for few hours. You can satisfy yourself after praying" I drink hot tea to soothe my stomach and then I go to pray.
This suggestion is for 40 days one meal fasting only. Not for 3 meals fasting.

Wow, this was RIGHT ON TIME for me! God has called me to a 3 month fast from my phone and any media that is not Christian. I have struggled with this so much. God is calling me to come closer to Him and to break down the barriers I put up to avoid intimacy with Him and let Him heal my heart. Tonight I really wanted to watch an episode of a children's TV show (one of the ways that I avoid my own feelings and problems). I thought, soon I will be able to do that! I have been at this fast for long enough, it must be almost over. I looked at my calendar, and I realized that it has only been 1 month! I still have 2 more months to go! I couldn't believe it's only been a little over a month because it has felt like much longer then that! But it is also a sign that God still has a lot of work left to do with me because I know that the more I seek Him, the more I am going to crave His presence. My soul really wants to get to that level of maturity and have more intimacy with Him, but my flesh is so afraid that I keep self sabotaging my time in one way or another. But God is ALWAYS there for me! He will ALWAYS be there to help me get back up again when I fall and go astray! It's not about my ability, it is about my ability to let God work through me!

Wow sis, thank you for sharing!! I'm also thinking of doing a fast. I'm thinking of fasting completely from internet and all. I've been so distracted by the internet and I really feel in my spirit that an internet-fast would bring me closer to God. Internet has been my greatest distraction. When we don't have internet it's like we're able to focus more on the Lord and tune in on Him.
Please don't do a 3 month fast. This is dumb and dangerous.

As a eastern orthodox christian i find some things accurate. Now we have lent for 7 weeks. But you have to be realy careful and always prepared to receive a Holy Comunion.

I've tried to do a 40 days fasting in January organized by my church... I gave up at day 21 because, like you've shown in your video, sometimes it's so hard to battle against our emotions, especially when you cry all the time because you're exhausted and you feel ashamed of not being able to be in the joy to do something for the Lord ! I think, in my case, that was not the right moment for me to do it because I was missing spitirual maturity and I was not able to face some spiritual battles... we have to be wise when we want to do this kind of fasting and be honest with ourselves regarding our motivations. With God, all things are possible but there is a timing for each thing ! Pray the Lord before starting to seek for His guidance and If you feel in your heart that this is what you really want to do and that your motivations are pure (not for someone else, not to prove yourself that you're able to do it...), go for it !! May the Lord bless you all my brothers and sisters from all over the world ❤

The transition in 5:06-5:08 is so beautiful and it showed me something too. I partly realize why God created us. He needs a version of Himself to behold daily, love and fellowship with. We truly are His children first, our earthly parents are our 2nd parents. The joy He feels when He fellowships with His offspring is far more than what any man can ever feel when in the company of another.

I think God wants me to do 40 Days Fast too. You know that book really change my perspective in God after i get attacked by spiritual warfare.. Today I did my first 12hr fast, I always did like 6 hrs in the morning and I'd say I gotta do more I cannot be comfortable with this 6hr fast, I have to give God more. Some days ago I planned that today I would fast for 6hrs again. However night before something told me why not 12hrs? I said um I think I gotta plan for that. Nevertheless work up this morning, something said "Do it I got you" I believed that God is always with me and that he is able to carry through this fast and HE DID glory be to God. This is just a testimony that God always will be us and that if we draw closer to him he will draw close to us. Keep the faith and stay rooted in God's Word brothers and sisters in Christ.

Oh my goodness. I have just failed at my attempt to fast 40 days before Shavuot/Pentecost. I discovered you today when you showed up in my feed. I am encouraged to begin again AND will also heed God's voice to pick up my guitar as he was prompting me to. I was ignoring it even though He was downloading songs into my spirit.
