What do you think is the most important aspect of a spray on product? Longevity, Glossiness, or minor filling in helping deepening darkness/saturation. For me, I want darkness/filling properties and glossiness. Longevity is, frankly, not something I think about as long as I get a couple weeks to a month of good gloss. A good looking vehicle is by far more fun to drive than a vehicle that I wait 6 month between updating its gloss standard. Stay motivated in making these vids, as its enjoyable to watch. Cheers!
I want darken, hydrophobics and gloss if im using straight , if its a drying aid I just want something that makes it pop and adds some protection but makes drying fun, I know alot of people blow off but I love drying with a microfiber
I just wanna say i hated drying until I got my hands on ADS Amplify for my drying aid. After using amplify on a scratched to hell black car I felt like I was looking at a car that has just been polished the amount of depth was crazy I was hooked not just from the results but the user experience was amazing. I immediately ordered their whole product line and have been trying each one. Hands down best tire and iron wheel cleaner and don't even get me started on the ceramic coatings and that ghost tire sealant.my first time trying a brand where performance, user experience , especially the scents just hit right. Even the iron remover wasn't bad WHEN I was applying it. Def. Don't whiff the bottles for any product bc I was disappointed on the scents pleasant surgery until I was actually using them. But iron remover in general doesn't bother me that much except iron x lol I'll be trying detail co. Oh the panel prep from armour will always be my fav to use bc it does the job but also smells amazing

@@patb5266 Valid point...but on a cost per use basis as a weekend DIY of my few vehicles, still not bad. Ignoring price...what is your recommendation on my next one to try?
@@patb52668 year coating my ass, neither company has existed 8 years, only a few companies been around in for a long time, now every UA-camr throws name on product. People just taking advantage of so called popularity
Probably, and Ivan’s been a mentor and even a consultant to many people on the industry. But when it comes to trade secrets, intellectual property, chemistry and just plain business it’s a little bit absurd when the products don’t performs similarly and target different market segments. Some people just can’t read between the lines.
Well by that logic that must mean that they are connected to OPT and McKee's too, because they also have spray polishes. I know Pan was a fan of DIY Detail spray polish, so it was probably inspired by that...but anyone that bothered to try both of the products would quickly see that they perform very differently.
Hi, could you please advise. I live in a climate with high humidity and sunny days. I applied Gyeon Can Coat on my bodywork a year ago, which has collected a large amount of calcium stains over the year. I am constantly fighting them. But so far they are winning. How do I protect the bodywork? Perhaps I should apply a wax, such as Gyeon Wax, on top of the Can Coat?
@@Ecdetailsand this is why the haters will never win. You could be plugging your line in every comment, but you don't. Make quality products and they sell themselves.

I understand it. Jealousy and the fact that Pan is now charging money through his products that he believes in. Nobody's holding a gun to their heads 😂. These same people have never had their own business before. Clearly!
I'm curious, if you wash your car in general and remove some of the protection with the wash does it also apply drying the car while it is wet? Since the towel observes water etc. just curious .
I had a feeling that's why I was curious. Thank Eddie 👍. Now I'm curious about the way you wash 10 times for the torcher test. Can you dry the vehicle 10 times or 5 times and see what happens in general . I believe people would be curious since there are moments where they just want to wash their car and dry it since it has protection when we skip that step once in a while.
Greta video and informative , I think people get confused by it because of easy the application is . I myself felt that way but you can tell it’s different, the gloss alone was different.

Is it best practice to use these Ceramic Sealants as a drying aid for weekly washes on coated cars, or best to use a drying aid with no ceramic in it such as YUM Detailer Spray?
I was just about to order a gallon of ceramic gloss.... Everyone is just talking about Clean by Pan, but the star of this video (for me) was Infinity, wow, this can take a serious beating. Very impressive
A lot is blowback from Pan saying his stuff is the greatest without stating conditions and tghe year awards. I am sure his stuff is good but to say greatest makes he and his products asking for criticism on review videos As for the video i am a coward to wipe that hard.

Very strange for sure. Could be the reaction with what existing on the panel, too much product applied( more is not better), cure time etc. Lots of variables.
@@diydetailofficial Ya I cut it panel prepped waited 2 hours when you get here well check both out and review again I had no idea it was gonna do like this as before the results even after 2 hours were great
@@diydetailofficial another channel tested Clean. vs DIY, and they were equally durable. The only difference is that channel let them both cure for 7 days before testing instead of 2 hours. Does DIY Ceramic Gloss have a recommended cure time?
for example where i live Reco chem mixes and packs 90% of the brands of most chemicals for automotives... Molson and Sleeman brew most of the beers (saporro, heniken, stella etc) the companies give the recipes the factory is the same... Who cares as long as the product is made to spec...for beer you can taste some difference but other non edibes really nothing there...
Ceramic Gloss was always a little underwhelming to me on durability, but it is still cost-effective and super easy/pleasurable to use...so who cares. Super durable spray sealants definitely have their place, but personally I've moved on from that. To be honest, I'm more interested in having more super short acting drying aid/quick detailers that are super easy to use and slick on top of a coating...but that go away in 7 days or less or that I can remove with any wash method. All of us rinseless users know how to do that already, but we all know that some people still don't get that either.
Haha, you missed the point of this video! The goal here was to show that all these products are actually different. Sure, torture tests are pretty ridiculous, but the internet loves them-who would really put their car through that in real life? Another point was to make it clear that just because products ship from the same place doesn’t mean they’re made in the same place.
@@Ecdetails what had happened was is that I started commenting before the video was over, but then I hit send because I had to do some actual work for the people who pay me money. 😂 Now that I finished it, yes...I get the point of the video. I've never been one to say that these products are all the same. The "white label" criticism has been around forever and I've never really bought into that one much. White label products are out there, but are pretty easy to spot. From what I've seen and tried, it's clear that DIY, Detail Co and Clean by Pan are all very different products. As for whatever commonalities/connections exist on the back end, I don't know and I don't really care...the products are different and I'm gonna buy/use what looks good to me. Where it is blended and where it ships from is immaterial to the product itself.
I'm from the old school. ONR, BRS, OS. Took that empty bottle of OS and filled it with Hyper Seal. UA-camrs like to shit on Hyper seal for durability but I don't mind. Opti/Hyper seal are my go to weekly drying aids
@@Ecdetails I’m sure Yvan will comment some potential reasons for it somewhere. I’d love to see a longer term durability test between infinity and ADS ceramic spray sealant

A lot of people have pent up agression, that they are just waiting for a chance to let it out on something else. Its "justified rage". They feel justified in expressing anger towards something, bc they are not able to resolve their own rage. Haters are going to hate. You all just keep doing your thing. I appreciate all of the info from you, Jamie, and Pan over the years. It's a bummer to see people so eager to hate
I guess I will never understand torture test, nothing truly compares to Mother Nature or real world conditions, I feel they just make no sense, unless you’re riding through a chemical dump everyday haha
No no clean is the best period, no no clean is the greatest of all time, no no clean is the best product that will ever be produced in the history of detailing, like man you gotta stop this nonsense, it’s a brand you are the exclusive distributor for, what you gonna say? No it’s ight? Like nothing you do anymore can be trusted when it comes to reviews because there’s a motive behind it, just relax and let the people decide if it’s good or not for themselves, always going the extra unauthentic mile to make it seem like the product you have exclusive rights for is the best in some way, just let the market and people decide for themselves
Why people hating on Pan? These fools are the 9-5er who have never owned a business or started a business. It's ok to be a bit biased and confident something is "the best". If you don't believe in your own product then why release one?? More salty Himalayan salt.
I honestly had the feeling (before the video started) that you're going to ''scientifically'' prove the above products are not made by the same company. Anyway, plenty of similar/better products out there so I can skip all these 3 products.
What pressure washer are you using, that thing is loud as hell on the video. I stopped watching because I got tired of the noise. You need to put it in a cabinet or something.
Some of the comments on these videos are crazy. Some of you need to put down the cleaning chemicals, go outside & touch grass, go play with your kids. Do something get joy out of life instead of searching for a "aha gotcha!" moment with some companies selling $20 cleaning products. You don't have that same kind of energy with other things that you buy. Or do you really go barking at Chevron, telling them "out of good faith, tell me which refinery is really making my gasoline" 🤓 Probably the same one that's mixing every other brand in your area. Who cares.
I don’t think this test has any validity eddy, you are reviewing your own detail co product, clean by Pam who pays you for distributing his products.Unfortunately, yourself, Pam , Jimbo and a couple of others have turned from poachers into gamekeepers, so I find it impossible for you to be impartial as reviewers !
I see you commenting something different on everyone else’s UA-cam channels. If you’re not into the content, feel free not to watch. You missed the point here-I carry more than just three brands. If I’d used a different brand for this test, would your response still be the same? Honestly, if you actually watched, you’d see that I put my own sealant through an even tougher test.

@@mikezupancic2182 lol ok ill play. FIrst off ur example is on point but let me ask you since you work for a company that private labels or ie make parts for other manufacturer. PSA from frans built and manufactured the 1.6 liter and is used by Peugot and second gen minis, another popular one is BMW collabs with toyota and sells their engine B48 and B58 engines built by bmw to Toyota and toyota turns around and installs it on their supra. Essentially what engine is in the BMW Z4? BMW B48/58 what engine is in the supra? toyota or bmw ? Granted toyota made some adjustments at the end of the day they cannot completely or make drastic change on the BMW engines because it will throw off the whoel dynamics and dont want to go too far from the original deisign because that would mean they have to put millions on the engine "they tweaked" because they have to the whole process of R&D and certification. i think i can help with the whole "Pan, Pam" dillema... As a very long time sub of Pan before i had heard or seen of any of the people that started popping up all over his chanel i.e the DIY detail guys (older gentleman and younger kid no diddy). According to Pan they were legends in the game - i don't really know one way or another that may be true but regardles ok he's plugging his freind new company thats cool. Next its the detail co i believe getting all the same hype and great Panfare - then it was this house of rags which to me - you got autofiber and the rag company and now house of rags - i thought house of rags was in fact the rag company at first. But then the real magic trick that took it over the top - THE PAN himself drops his best of the best product line that's strangely looking like the detail co and DIY detaill and low and behold ALL 3 happen to be exclusijve to the new warehouse company "HOUSE OF RAGS". Now don't get me wrong, I am a red bloood american capitalist pig and I am so excited that 47 is back to rebuild this great nation and i want all of you guyys to get your money for sure - great ideas deserve big money when excecuted. Or - the 5 p's (proper preperaton prevents poor performance). If people are gonna buy the shit then by all means sell it - but its becoming a lot like what everyone who knows about it sees occuring in the comedy scene - eveyrone is just creating a safe space for their friends to create a cartel of sorts and forcibly cutting out a lunch table for all their friends to at and then they just hype eachother up in a big circle jerk. Last, I dont get why pan didnt do this a while ago like years ago - i guess maybe thats what feels super forced to me - they all just bam bam bam shot it all out right before sema - and 2nd to last now you got the josh v guy with a PRESSURE WASHER COMP??? I thinik im going to back obsessed garage entirely and completely - matt gets paper like no other and organizes everything to my hearts content.

I want darken, hydrophobics and gloss if im using straight , if its a drying aid I just want something that makes it pop and adds some protection but makes drying fun, I know alot of people blow off but I love drying with a microfiber
Agree throwing hand grenades at a paint job does not impress me. I want a shinny glossy car, period.

I think the spray polish is what got everyone thinking Clean and DIY are closely connected.
Ah I can see that
Plus an 8 year coating and we all know they are closely connected before Clean was launched..
@@patb52668 year coating my ass, neither company has existed 8 years, only a few companies been around in for a long time, now every UA-camr throws name on product. These products can be decent but they’ll never beat out billion dollar corporations that have teams of scientists and R and D facilities, it can’t and won’t ever happen.
I would attack the waterspots first use like carpro essence+ to remove the waterspots then go into adding a topper like Gyeon ceramic etc

Abrasion always impacts stuff on the clear that’s why people use drying aid to aid in that process less wiping more gliding etc
We need the house of rags in Europe Jamie. :)

The detailing community has obtained so much knowledge that its found itself in a term known as "analysis paralysis". People fail to realize how much fun deteiling is, AND that many of these products are amazing. The luxury we have is that its a CONSUMERS market. We get to play and use all these anytime we want. GO OUT AND HAVE FUN EVERYONE. Use knowledge gained from all the videos and also make your own conclusion. Confession: I hate the smell of vanilla. I dont care if a product is the best in the world. Is it best practice to use these Ceramic Sealants as a drying aid for weekly washes on coated cars, or best to use a drying aid with no ceramic in it such as YUM Detailer Spray?
Ah generally long term lsps you wouldn’t use every wash , quick detailers for drying aid is the hot spot

I’m hear ya it happens, but I’m curious as to why or how that would happen is all. Looking forward to a follow up appreciate you man!
A few things could have caused this. Most likely, over use( more is never better with DIY Detail products). The other possibility is an interaction with polish residue.
I used quick beads on a Toyota Prius’s on outside black piano paint it streaked it bad I had to buff it out any ideas on that Yvan.
You can reach out to him directly
Streaking is often caused by using too much product.
Most importantly; How does the fragrance hold up after the torture test? 🤔
when you spray on the panel no it goes away or does it? I dont know man I have to check
Eddie I appreciate the product test in these fine products. Two products I a looking for is a spray ceramic which wii last 6 months in the real world outside. I am also looking for a one year ceramic coating which will last one year in the real world.

It's very strange for DIY Ceramic Gloss to barely survive just 1 contact wash with a fairly neutral soap. Hopefully Yvan could weigh in on this.
Ya this new batch could of been bad - im not sure I ordered more to re test my oither test it sailed through
Very strange for sure.

Now that I finished it, yes...I get the point of the video.

Some of the comments on these videos are crazy. Some of you need to put down the cleaning chemicals, go outside & touch grass, go play with your kids.

Which im sure u knew it just slipped ur mind. In short this further proves the comnspiracy theorist about these products. Same lab (yet to be proven), same product different price and label.

i think i can help with the whole "Pan, Pam" dillema...
