Hey Lee!!!!! Its so great to see you up and running again. All my love and support to you 🥰 I heard this song for the first time today. It hit really close to home. My son who was a straight A student, very responsible and an awesome person who works his ass off but has his battles with depression and not "street smart." That's how I grew up and I didn't want him to "HAVE" to be street smart (didnt want him to know that world) That was a mistake I regret making and almost cost him his life. He was feeling really down one day a few months ago and a so called "friend" gave him a small blue pill and said it would make him feel better. Shortly after taking the pill he came home and I figured he was resting in his room. A neighbor came to my door and said someone was passed out on my driveway. I went to see what was going on and it was my son who collapsed on to the hot summer Arizona pavement and was not breathing. Fire dept. came and gave him many hits of Narcan before he finally came to. We were very lucky we did not lose him as there are so many parents who would give anything to have their child back. The point I want to make is for parents to realize that sheltering our kids from all the horrible things in this work is not always the best thing to do and could backfire at anytime. We need to teach our kids at a young age some level of being "Street Smart" just the same way we would teach them about "Stranger Danger." If we start teaching them at a young age then it wont be such a battle trying to teach our kids about drugs, guns etc when they are teenagers and they think that mom and dad wont understand them and what they are going through.💜
My heart stopped for a second reading down your message and I'm so pleased that your son is still alive gave me my breath back and it's an honor you share this with me means alot and i totally agree with u on the subject teaching kids young about the dangers of drugs and other stuff like my boy heard a song from jucie world and asked me what depressing was so I explained it the best way I could to a child and what's drugs were and his mum criticised me for it and I told her how does a child no something is good or bad if they do not understand what's right and wrong some ppl mite say I'm wrong for teaching him but better me then some drug dealer when he is older no different from telling kids not to talk or take sweets from strangers
Thank you Lee, I am grateful every day that I got him back. As far as your son's mom not wanting to explain the dangers of drugs or even the signs of depression.........Don't mean to make this message so dark but my cousin, who is only a year younger that my boy hung himself in their backyard 2 weeks ago. His brothers are the ones who found him and he left no note or anything to indicate as to why. The only thing we know for sure is that he was struggling with depression. You have the right as a father to provide your son with the tools he needs (no matter how others may disagree) to not just survive but to thrive. She probably thinks the same way I did by not talking to him about drugs and depression thinking that "ignorance" would protect them. Our kids need to know how to deal with these things BEFORE they are offered drugs or feel depressed and think they will feel like that forever and end up taking their own lives. If we as parents wait, it will be too late. I would have rather have had uncomfortable conversations through the years than to pick out a casket and make funeral arrangements. Show this message to your ex because its is coming from someone who has went through it and can learn from other parents mistakes. Much love to you for letting me get this message out and continue to prepare your boy for everything you know will come his way.

This was a🔥 track in itself between the 2 of them , but also a really important & deep subject matter. I had a friend nearly die in my car 2 years ago after he smoked a hit cut with Fentanyl - it was one of the most horific & terrifying things Ive seen /been a party to. Thamkfully the person selling the laced gear is in jail - I understand another person did die and several were extremely ill /almost lost their lives.

I'm so sorry for your lose must have been a terrible thing to go through I'm gald the person is in jail and stays there for ever once less person to damage a life which can have detrimental effects on love owns around them I've lost friends to drugs aswell wasmr fentanyl but the pills made him crash and he died
It has been a nice outlet for me last couple days getting back into my reactions and having convo with my subscribers does really help music is my therapy and takes me away from the stress
