Thanks for reacting to Diazepam. Self-destructive healing is one in the same. What a powerful line and all too true. You and anyone else at Atma who are doing the Ren reactions should really go on his Ren Makes Stuff page and watch the 8 chapters of his life from when he first got sick until he received the stem cell transplant that brought him back from the brink of death. They are each about 15 minutes long with a song that corresponds at the end. He dropped one a day leading up to his song Troubles and will give you a lot of insight into what he went through being misdiagnosed for 8 yrs. before he found a doctor in Belgium who diagnosed his disease correctly.
@@TheAtmaMD I don't know what providers you are referring to but I agree with @hummingbirdstones that the eight chapters would make excellent material for anyone at Atma MD to react to. I would be especially interested in watching that. There is a tasty little song at the end of each chapter for dessert. Thank you for sharing your insights.
The chapters aren't really reaction material -- very personal and heartfelt. But excellent background information for understanding the context of Ren's songs better. ❤
@@serendipitish Facts. I was suggesting they watch them to get the background to react to the videos they do. It would give them the perspective to comment on Ren's videos in the correct context. ♥
“You can see the beauty and the disaster” Brilliant quote David! Really appreciated your authentic words on this piece, at the same time your body language was full of anxiety which made it all more raw and meaningful! Nicely done‼️ Dominoes and Power both would be a great watch from a mental health perspective…
Thanks for reacting to this video! I think it is wonderful that you and others at your facility are posting videos to youtube. This connection will make us all stronger.
Great reaction! I'm adding my own interpretation here, but I think his songs Love Music (pt 1-4) talk about what has been the healing factor in his life: music - his creative outlet, that you talked about. Good songs, and good vibes.
This is one of my top favorite ren songs, i resonate with it so deeply and its beautiful. "Went for a swim and then drown in your ocean" is so relatable for me 🥹💜
Im not sure at one point he was given that drug, and others like it, but remember he was misdiagnised with mental illness and medicated for conditions he did not necessarily have. He was gas lit by professionals and made to feel like he was a hypochondriac, or mentally ill, causing him depression with still no relief for his excruciating pain, when he really had Lymes Disease causing a stress induced psychosis at his breaking point.
@@TheAtmaMD Really enjoying your reactions to Ren. Insomnia, Depression, Everybody Drops, Dominoes are also Ren songs that allude to his health journey. I think you might also have some interesting insights to these too.
Thank you for mentioning the stigma of addiction. There really needs to be more compassion. I bet almost every person in the US knows someone who is dealing with addiction, either their own or a loved one's... And many of these addictions probably started with prescriptions. Love these reactions. All of you are compassionate and informative
DOMINOES by Ren need to be in your list to do ❤

He has a good song about Setraline ssri called "Chalk Outlines" Check out the live version. It's has a bit of weight to it, well more than a bit.

I would LOVE to see your reaction to Chris Webby ft Ren - Baggage!!!
yeah, he takes you there.
Loving the Ned Flanders look!
The pain gets leveled down while I feel more like myself. ;Ike I feel normal, but never high.

It makes me wonder how many other people who are misdiagnosed get these medications as a cover?
