I'm still disappointed on how HAL didn't give Dark Nebula the opportunity to becoming an actual villain that is both hard and a menace lore-wise, but instead we got this dude that appears literally at the end of the game and is a _piece of cake_ Hope he returns and we know more of him
I find this guy to be underrated. The only reason people didn't like him was because he was easy and the only way you could even have some semblance of challenge with this boss is if you fight him with no abilities. I think Dark Nebula should come back in a future installment and they make him an actual challenging boss.
I also find Dark Nebula heavily underdeveloped as well. There's still many questions I have about this boss, like who sealed him in the chest? He was before a time where bosses had information left in pause screens, so all we know about him past Squeak Squad is that it's likely a member of the Dark Matter species. Another thing is how King Dedede got in possession of the chest in the first place or how Meta Knight knew that the chest was the one with Dark Nebula inside it. I would love to see this guy return so we can get more context to it's existence aside from the fact it's potentially a member of Dark Matter and got sealed in a chest. And yes, it's second appearance should be more challenging too.
@@ivoryvt Here's an answer to your questions. This may sound crazy, but King Dedede and Meta Knight could be the ones who sealed Dark Nebula away. That could also be why Dedede had the chest he was sealed in and Meta Knight knew about it. Or Meta Knight could have read about it.
That's what I'M saying! Dark Nebula was over-disliked because of how easy his battle was, which actually doesn't sound so fair for me. I say that I find huge amount of potential for the future battle design and lore potential of this guy.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. He isn't the hardest boss in the game by a longshot and is pretty easy but to say he is the easiest? Nah that would go to this game's fight against King Dedede. Just by attacking him he gets stunned and any attack he is about to use gets cancelled out so you can just essentially stun lock Dedede and defeat him before he even gets a chance to attack you.

Maybe he could have a 2nd phase where he transforms into a giant dark ball. maybe even with detached hands to wail on you.

Dang blast, this definitely kicks the original battle theme in the face. And I rarely say this about remixes, that's how good this is.
