Interesting walk and chat mate, I was the same as a kid, messing around on building sites and industrial areas, so dangerous but such a laugh at the time, looked a nice day for it too mate, ATB 👍
We don't see the dangers when we are young, do we?! We are invincible... lol It was a lovely day, Gaz. I wished I hadn't put my Norgie on. Didn't notice until I got back to the motor and too off the pack that my back was soaked. Stupid boy, Tim. Apologies for not replying sooner and thanks for stopping by sir.
Enjoyed this trip down memory lane Tim, I could envisage Tracey stuck in her welly boots in that mud screaming whilst you boys were on the bank laughing 🤣😂 I set fire to a massive posterboard on a railway embankment when i was kid, right next door to petrol station... I ran and blamed it on two teenagers that passed me minutes earlier 😁Enjoyed it mate, made me laugh a couple of times 👍👍👍
Hahaha, we did have some great times and plenty of laughs. There was always something to do back then. Fancy setting fire to a poster board 😂 I bet it was good old 4**** Boom, boom, boom, boom Esso Blue 😂
Hello Adam, do you really? That is brilliant mate 😁👍🏼 We used to find loads of pipes back in the late 70’s. Good ones too, especially down level with the old brick factory. Some great bottles too. Sadly, we used to also use the bottles for air rifle practice. Shame we don’t know better or value the past as kids. I might get to see you down there one day mate and we can have a brew. Thanks for coming in and chatting mate, appreciate it. Look after yourself and see you around maybe. ATB, Tim
@@BourneOutside Found lots of pipes, bottles e.g There are Victorian bottle dumps on the Milton side of the creek, good place to digg for bottles. I only started 11 months ago but I have a good selection of objects already. Lots of things next to the docks with the chain in your intro near Marshall brick works. :)
@@Adam-Gates-Mudlark 11 months? 👍🏼 What got you into collecting? Probably lots of stuff at Marshall’s due to where the workers were in the main. Everything just got chucked down into the water.
@@BourneOutside Some youtubers (Nicola white and si-finds - who has came Mudlarking with me at Milton creek) they got me interested so we made a collab to meet and boom adam became collecting Victorian goods. Even vikki coins 🪙 I do in fact have 2 old Sittingbourne bricks from the old brick field :)
Hey Tim, sounds like you guys were like us lot up here mate. We were right buggers. Looks a great place to play. Shame about them horse riders. Have a great week mate - hope you get back out there soon. Mark
Hello Mark, hahaha, yes were always up to something down my Nans. I've had many near misses with my life down there I can tell you 😆 It's mostly industrial units down there now which is quiet saddening for me. But that is progress I suppose! The youngsters today wouldn't be able to cope with the fun we had as kids, would they?! I tell you what though. I wished we had camera phones back then. We'd probably be locked up though. I have quite a bit of cine camera footage of down that way from my childhood. Super 8 footage too I'll have you know AND with colour and sound 😂 Thanks for swing past Mark and having a look. Look after yourself mate, Tim 😉👍
@@BourneOutside looks like it mate mate, didn’t realise how far it goes in its full length ,will try get over to you this year and do a overnight camp with you ,just trying to organise this walk ,west highland way for the kids hospital ,must lose some weight lol
