Distorting or misrepresentation of history is does not do any good. The Ogaden was incorporated into Ethiopia during the reign of emperor Menilik. The Ogaden fell under British rule in 1941when the whole Italian East Africa became under British rule. The Haud and Reserve area remained under the British rule with consent of the Ethiopian gverment until it was officially returned to Ethiopia in 1956.
This confused professor is giving false information regarding the (SYL). the first meeting was May 15, 1943 in Mogadishu, not in Jigjiga.and the founder of the (SYL) was Abdulkadir Sheikh Sakhawudeen , which his Mother was an Oromo Jarso Daga is from Jigjiga. The first meeting under leadership of Abdulkadir Sheikh with 7 individuals took place October 10, 1913 in Jigjiga. 32:37.
Professor Hassan is highly knowledgeable about the horn of Africa region and greatly appreciate his teachings and interviews.
