- In Season 4 of "Better Call Saul," Chuck’s death catalyzes Jimmy McGill’s transformation into Saul Goodman. In the wake of his loss, Jimmy takes steps into the criminal world that will put his future as a lawyer - and his relationship with Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) - in jeopardy. Chuck’s death deeply affects former colleagues Howard and Kim as well, putting the two of them once again on opposite sides of a battle sparked by the Brothers McGill. Soooo glad Rhea got this part, as I may never have seen her. Beautiful, sweet lady.
This woman is going on age 50. She doesn't look a day past 30. Absolutely gorgeous
Rhea gives arguably the standout performance in a series absurdly blessed with incredible cast members, as great with outbursts like that as she is with selling the slow-motion train wreck as Kim overworks herself. And she’s genuinely a joy to watch when Kim gets to savor a moment of victory, occasionally as Slippin’ Jimmy’s co-conspirator, unwittingly or otherwise.
Patrick, also, definitely deserves some love for the humanity he brings to Howard. Pulled apart between two warring brothers, enlisted as Chuck’s misgiving but loyal operative, shattered by the death of his closest friend and longtime colleague, and blamed by everyone as things fly apart at the seams. All the while, fiercely protective, at great literal and figurative cost to himself, of the firm and his many employees.

She blew me away with that scene. But, Patrick Fabian was incredible too. Yeah, Kim gave it to him and maybe he deserved it. Maybe not. But Howard’s reaction left me feeling like this poor guy is getting blasted from everyone. Chuck, Jimmy, Kim and who knows who else. Thumbs up Patrick. Your reaction to that blasting was priceless. Great show. Great actors. Great writers. Great Show! Oh, and Rhea is a beautiful woman, as if I needed to say that.
Many scenes are so great because of the other actor's reaction(s) Unfortunately,the one with the dialogue usually takes away all the credit.
Remember the terror on Skylar's face when Walter gave his 'I am the one who knocks' speech? That reaction made the speech better too.

Knowing How many actors know very little of their own shows/movies universe nowadays I really aprecciate how much She knows about Breaking Bad and BCS
I love that Kim is so put together and sort of uptight but Rhea is super goofy.

Very intelligent, eloquent, and honest actor/worker in a very turbulent industry. Happy for her to land such an awesome part on a really brilliantly written show. She doesn't strike me as someone who would put up with Hollywood bullshit or sex-typing which...probably limits down those chances of seeing her on super huge films and projects, but I'm betting she probably wouldn't want that anyway; it isn't authentic to her and the craft and well...those sorts of big time roles come with crazy egocentric morons and Weinsteins. She very much stands on her own and her own terms. Good for her. Looks great at 46, too.

GREAT scene with Patrick Fabian. Quiet honestly she's had two of the most impressive scenes in the series so far. The other being with Chuck back in S2 I believe.
It's a real testament to the Saul Writers Room that the Kim, Howard, and Ignacio characters (brilliantly performanced by Rhea, Patrick, & Michael) have become so seamlessly and crucially integrated into the Albuquerque/BB-BCS 'extended universe'... It's easy to imagine a scenario on a lesser spinoff by less adept writers where these 'secondary' characters would be used exclusively to prop up the marquee original show characters-Jimmy, Mike, Gustavo, Lydia and the Salamanca's... I'm sure most casual BB fans would've been fine with a less substantially written series just to see Jimmy, Mike, & Gus again, but I for one am equally invested in Nacho, Kim, and Howard at this point. Kim's arch in season three was maybe the best of any character thus far on the Better Call Saul series...
Michael McKean run on the series was brilliant as well of course, but I've reached a point where I empathize & identify with Jimmy to the point that I felt antagonized by & frustrated with the Chuck character... I'm sure my connection to Jimmy has nothing to do with the fact that I'm the smooth-talking, underachieving younger of two brothers myself.
As a devout Breaking Bad fan, I still can't believe just how much of a pleasure it is to be seeing Mike and Lydia butt heads, Lydia airing her grievances to Gustavo, or Dr. Goodman covertly checking in on Hector, or the hospital scene with comatose Don Hector, 'Los Primos' Leonel and Marco Salamanca, Ignacio, and Arturo... most comedic scene of the season so far.. It's all too delicious...

She is a beautiful woman, so strong, yet down to earth.
one of my favorite performance of her's was s04e09 after the big fight between Kim and Jimmy, he comes home, no words were said, Kim is just looking at him, both confrontationally and with empathy. long minutes, no words. I'm glad this show has turned out to be able to have moments like this.
Best character in BCS, I'm so excited to see Kim in season 6, she seems to be "breaking bad" and it will be amazing to see what happens with her.

Glad to see how intelligent she is and also how different she seems from Kim. I've never seen Kim laugh like that throughout the series. Her character has really made the show. Jimmy/Saul is interesting but he is at heart a crook. It is his relationship to Chuck and now especially to Kim that makes the show so fascinating to watch. He tends to break everything he touches and I fear that might be the case with Kim too. As Rhea was talking about, Kim is possibly much more vulnerable than she lets on. She is hiding behind a very fragile but highly effective facade. Great show and great interview.

I like the idea of Kim being hidden by Saul in Breaking Bad think about it we never really saw Saul at home in Breaking Bad. So maybe Kim can find Jessie and bring him and Saul back together

Clay Hamric I think it’s unlikely, but I did enjoy that theory when she brought it up, it wasn’t one I considered. I figured there were only 3 options:
1. Dead
2. Jail
3. Moved far away from New Mexico and Jimmy because something finally broke her
But I really hope there’s a happy ending for her, not just her character but also her as a real person and actress deserve to go out on a positive note

She is doing great so far. Her tirade on Howard was classic. Right now Jimmy and Kim are very close, and the more dire the situations the more she is protective and guarding him. Kim Wexler needs a spin-off show in the Breaking Bad Universe.

I love playing the game Taboo and the fact that Rhea does too tells me everything about her. You end up thinking in crazy thought patterns to get the words out. Like you'll describe the Apple as "A crimson orb that people eat. It's sweet and goes well in baked goods."

Watch the next spinoff show that comes from this universe will be Better Call Kim. It starts off w her getting out of prison and she’s trying to pick up the pieces of her life and maybe become a lawyer again.
Re-listening to this interview--I wonder if it'll come out that a beloved relative of Kim's (dad? uncle? brother?) is the Jimmy in her family, which draws her to him, to try to "save" him.
No, they are just very alike. Jimmy is clever, witty, creative, and a hard worker (shortcuts aside) and Kim values this so much, he is caring. They share old movies taste, meals, etc. And she likes the scheming and bordering on the gray area more than would like to admit. They are the perfect fit, and they throw the mask when they are together..
She's so gorgeous and talented.
Her character in BCS is so full of nuance, I never know what she's up to.
