Man...how many times can you drop pitch and still get applause? The theatrics are getting ridiculous. The music quality is all that matters. Sing to the blind first, then if it doesn't hurt the sound quality , entertain the groupies. That was embarrassing.
Patrick Morand dude I couldn't agree more. Watched a few videos of theirs and I can't get past it. Beatiful arragements just ruined by theatrics. Horribly disappointing. Damn.
There's definitely some great videos of the VM here on UA-cam. Check out the contest uptune from 2017, Stouthearted Men: it's got great intonation and the moves to match.
This is a great piece and performance. One of the categories of judges they perform to is for entertainment, so If they just stood and sang, they would not score anywhere near as high. It's the universal thing for barbershop contests. My mom is in sweet adelines, and they do so much more movement and theatrics than these guys. If you don't like these guys, youtube sure has a lot more content for you to listen/watch.
This is NOT the best that they have performed this song. I saw them perform this on the International stage many years ago and I Still get emotional at the power it has. It is easy to judge from the cheap seats. I have always loved the VM. Jim C. is one of the GREAT directors. I will never forget the one time I stood up on their risers for one of their rehearsals. With over 100 men on the risers, he noticed me and commented on my expression after the rehearsal. Talk about being in charge and aware of EVERYTHING that is happening on the risers with that many men and that much going on. It is an experience that I will NEVER forget. I don't care how old their members get, they still exemplify the class of Barbershop.
Awesome choreography! Great song!! Loved it!!
Great job men! Wonderful song and passion!
Loved everything about this chorus
Ok I know that at 2:07 the lyrics are "....marched with spear in hand", but God help me if I don't think "SPIRIT HANDS" every time
Brilliant - one of my favourite performances by you!
creative and outstanding!!!!
That´s a really impressive performance!!!
I love this! Beautiful singing and very masculine and warrior like.!
es especial espectacuar que nunca deje de existir!
I’m here for my choir since Covid 19
im here from online school lol
Always wonderful hearing the VM singing Jericho, but youtube -anything other than live- just doesn't do the performance justice.
Jesus amado! Perfeição de Deus em forma de música!
Increíble!! AMAZING 🤩😱🎉🎉🎉
Vamos valorizar o que é bom e agradável aos nossos olhos e ouvidos. Eles agradecem. Obrigada! Aplausos...
If you like this arrangement, listen to this song by Vocal Spectrum
wow~~
Wow!
1:35 German Rally 1938. Colourised.
Jim Clancy is still going strong. Love that arrangement of THE WALLS OF JERICO. Ouida T Pye. That kind of Music feeds the soul.

Sadly crushed by automatic gain :(
At the climax, no less. :/

Everyone gets old, thats for sure. I heard this live in the 90's. Here's a poor copy link from 1998. ua-cam.com/video/NaH5jotSdBU/v-deo.html

I cringed so hard my chin is in my forehead. How could adults do this? Such a great chorus of men, acting so damn silly. Does NOTHING for the music.
