Hi Ann, I too had the same question (also NZ based). I just found this site that is based here. But I think I'll try and find a local South American eatery were I can sample a cup first before I commit to purchasing a whole bag.
I'm from Argentina and when I was traveling across Europe I found they sell yerba at any big supermarket (probably in the breakfast section). Now, I don't like yerba, it's kinda bitter so it's not for everyone, that's for sure lol
