I love these Behind the Scenes videos! They give great insight on how much work is poured into the NC videos. Doug seems like he is a good boss to work for.
More than that but it's clear how much Doug enjoys doing his work with the rest of the cast. I'm almost certain the thought of going back to the old school NC style is not a good thought for him
Love, love, LOVE the atmosphere. 14:00 is magic. I need a job like that and bad. Just film awesome stuff, constantly cracking pop culture jokes etc. Watch movies for living.
12:14 When you're at work, tell your boss "I quit.", rip off your shirt to reveal the words "I QUIT!" painted on your stomach, and go home to watch Big Lebowski.
I completely agree on paddington bear, I thought it looked horrible but its getting critical acclaim out of no where I have to see what the fuss is about.
I love that Rob likes Dark City. The first and only time I ever watched that was with my mom and we were so confused (I was about 15 or 16 at the time) that we just laughed the whole time. We thought it was bizarre and that only someone high as a kite could enjoy it. Now I'm loving the idea of Rob high as hell and watching that movie then saying "BRILLIANT!" in his silly way. XD
I think it's just a visit. ... I mean, she appeared in the Momma Mia review, which uploaded 2 days ago, so she obviously didn't leave IMMEDIATELY after this, if at all.
I really liked keanu in A scanner darkly. I think he's got a lot of potential, but most directors don't know how to bring that out, maybe? He has the ability, but it's not on screen so much, which has, I guess, kind of pigeon holed him as this sentient brick, with human features. Anywho, if you guys get a chance, check out other keanu flicks that aren't matrix related. Even street kings was pretty ok, for what it was.
EncyclopediaBro13 "meh". it was a basic gary sue story, in my opinion, nothing unique, really. Though, from what I could tell, no one really brought their A game to that, except maybe Willem Dafoe, but he brings his A game to whatever (not All the time, but you get the idea). Check out Anamorph, if you're into crime/horror.
I can certainly understand varying opinions, I'm just tired of that whole context of film, it's boring to me. "oh no, it's x, let's shit our pants for a while, then ineffectually try to kill him, Whoops, we're dead" The only thing that Doesn't make it generic, like something like "shoot'em up" is the cast. I honestly don't remember much about the movie, not even a stitch of the soundtrack. I don't think it's the actors fault though, it's just a generic story, and the directing seemed a bit lax, or perhaps just lazy. Pretty much every recognizable actor in john wick has Much better performances in other films, or productions, and while that Is kind of a subjective statement, being from my own perspective, and not an Objective observation, I think it hold water.
I watched Paddington. It was cute, but the product placement was distracting to the continuity to the story. (Seriously, the mother had a MacBook, and I swear the daugher character was in a contract that every scene she was in she had to have those Beat Headphones showing. All of that, and that one super information storage place used some tube-pipe system. They didn't have some sort of computer storage system!?)
trypophobia is indeed a real thing. It's though to be a part of some of our primitive survival instincts. Because holes such as that (Bee hives, Ant hills and such) More often than not has bad shit in it. The term was first coined in 2005. But i myself can remember being freaked out of holes like that ever since i was a kid. My mom had some dried out Seed pods and they always made me feel uneasy.
the wachowskis do a better job convincing the audience that the actors are doing a good job because their bad acting in an odd way doesn't feel out of place. that and the matrix films did a good job creating a world that is just begging for spin offs. where as M.Night. Shyamalan is just a director who's head grew a little too big after the sixth sense and now seems to make a living out of sucking the life out of different things through the medium of film.
It's lke a half mile from where doug lives if i remember right. he did it so he can easily stay with his family, and get actors from a big city near by, (want to say chicago, but it's been a long time) it's also a pretty good place for easily getting to cons, etc,
Actually, Paddington wasn't bad at all... It was very Home Alone at some points, but that's what Paddington Bear was; clumsy and slightly cheesy. I loved it, the casting was great, the plot was at least thought out, the acting was great, and the dialogue/comedy was pretty decent, I laughed a few times. Overall 7/10
EncyclopediaBro13 I know they didn't, but they also haven't watched it (at least at this point they hadn't) and weren't sure. I simply left my review of it saying that it wasn't as bad as it seemed.
That was so insensitive! D:< Lol honestly it's not surprise that some of you guys don't know about it since it's not a common phobia. Either way it's super cringy to see though. It's so unnatural that it makes me panic and have goosebumps. xD
In the Matriiix All the speeches make no sense In the Matriiix Neo's wooden and so dense In the Matriiix A huge snorefest will commence In the Matriiix
Fuck yeah, Dark City! I'm sad it didn't get as much attention as Matrix, even though it was the far superior movie. T.T. And this was as a 13 year old kid, who watched both movies. I mean, sure Matrix had better action scenes, but that, man, Dark City was better written and acted.
13:58-14:18 I have never laughed as hard I have from such a simple moment.
Same here, tears were rolling down my cheeks!
That was amazing! XD
The rob sudden appearance and the door thing were so nostalgia critic skit it was hilarious :') just love the little improv moments
I like the door slam routine Doug and Rob pulled.
Brothers for life
I love these Behind the Scenes videos! They give great insight on how much work is poured into the NC videos. Doug seems like he is a good boss to work for.
I wish they did a behinds the scenes of the gameshow.
More than that but it's clear how much Doug enjoys doing his work with the rest of the cast. I'm almost certain the thought of going back to the old school NC style is not a good thought for him
AICabal Where do I watch the game show I can't find shit on it
It isn't out yet. The first episode is supposed to come next week.
Kuchiri thanks
Love, love, LOVE the atmosphere. 14:00 is magic. I need a job like that and bad. Just film awesome stuff, constantly cracking pop culture jokes etc. Watch movies for living.

@14:00 I lost it XD Doug's face was priceless
oh my god that unintentional continuous door slamming on Doug, priceless :-D
13:59
oh my gawd, I can't stop laughing.
16:17 funniest thing ever said by Doug! XD
Doug and Rob playing with the door, man the pain you can cause doing that. Still hilarious.
Doug should host the Oscars.
Yes.
Somebody get on that. Preferably- *NOW!!*
yes
he man shout the fuck up
dude a swear if you don't stop
dude I'm in 7th grade
29:35 - Oh my gosh, for a brief moment I thought Malcolm just teleported across the room. That freaked me out. haha
It must be so much fun to work at Channel Awesome.
I completely agree on paddington bear, I thought it looked horrible but its getting critical acclaim out of no where
I have to see what the fuss is about.
7:35 The number one rule of marmalade sandwiches: nobody talks about marmalade sandwiches.
6:52 The cheeriness could be a DISTRACTION.
I'd guess that Rob was playing _Doom_ when Malcolm was still learning how to SPELL HIS NAME!
..... they DO KNOW the reason Will Smith rejected the role of Neo is because he couldn't understand the script??
who cares. Matrix sucks anyways :/
becky4paws The first one doesn't.
eeeeeh...
Would he have tried to hammer in Jaden somewhere in the movie like he likes to do nowadays? -_-
DareToBeDeviant
Was Jaden even a sperm when The Matrix released?
You guys work so hard on your videos and make sure that each one is awesome. Shame that it got taken down! :)
When I saw the Paddington trailer I gagged so hard during the bathroom scene that my friend actually thought I had throw up.
Oh god, I remember the "In the Navy" song from DDR now. I can't stop laughing. Thanks.
gotta thank you for putting these up, these are always so goddamn funny
20:03 for the meme worthy laugh
more like a blooper.
08:19 What does that joke from Tamara mean?
I could listen to Tamara sing all day
"You still have to have your boring white leads!"
Well the chart says..
14:00 the beginning of a magical moment in brotherhood! :'D
XD
Am I the only one who thinks Trevor looks like Judge Doom?
Yeah you're right! He just needs the sunglasses.
13:49 this needs a jump scare sound
25:08 So, does this mean Tamara's leaving Nostalgia Critic like Rachel did or is it just for a brief period of time?
I think it's just a visit. ... I mean, she appeared in the Momma Mia review, which uploaded 2 days ago, so she obviously didn't leave IMMEDIATELY after this, if at all.
Yeah, I didn't think of that.
James F
What this means for any future reviews, I have NONE. Apparently, no one in the studio there seems worried about it.
Tamara would say something
She was there visiting relatives she came back to film the game show.
Did I see a Star Lord mask on the top shelf behind the makeup chair?
....Dang, Trevor looks awesome as a Stranger!
what could possibly be humorous in this scenario?
everything XD
Who wants to see Fight Bear with Nicholas Cage in a Bear suite XD
They're talking about Fido? That's so cool! My dad was in Fido!
About the achual review (since it doesn't appear to be on YT): Did anyone understand what his issue was with the sign at the train station?
Joseph Najjar
It was subtle, it was literally in the background. I'm not asking about the idea, I'm just asking what his issue with the sign is.
Barney, THANK YOU for saying English accent and not British accent :)
"Carrie Anne Moss acts the same way in everything" I don't know about that, she's a hell of a lot less monotone sounding in Jessica Jones
5:20 except Paddington turned out to be surprisingly very good
When Doug is playing schmuck doesn't he sound like Nicolas Cage in some scenes 😂
13:50 holy shit
Rob is love, Rob is life....
Dark City was voted the best movie of 1998 by Roger Ebert.
12:14 But I'm only 14 and it's rated R (even though I've already seen 7 R rated movies, and am going to watch another one today), well if I have to.
Made me cry with laughter. That, in my opinion is worth a sub
@13:50 Rob would make a great serial killer.
35:26, kind of looks like Judge Doom
lol I actually knew Trypophobia before even though I don't have it.
Dude in a DeLorean same here O_O
OMIGOD!!!!! NEVER look up pictures of tripophobia before bed. ()_()
+Kayla Morello Oh GOD!!! Why didn't I listen to you???
Tamra in the coat and the hat looks really great. Could be out of a dark noir flic.
That BFG 9000 conversation give me a idea that maybe Malcolm is younger than me. If I not misunderstanding some word.
18:18 JUST DO IT!!!!!
man he his just busting out HHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Actually Keanu Reeves is mixed. He's Asian Caucasian.
Hey bud, the intro in the video says "The Matrix Reloaded". Just a heads up from an anonymous fan :D
Does anyone have the link to the actual video?
Search it on Channel Awesome.com. You'll find it!

Red Cloud What did you think about his performance in "John Wick"?

EncyclopediaBro13 I will personally say that Is my favourite Keanu reeves performance

I looked up trypophobia and I discovered that I am now trypophobic. Who'd have guessed? XD
I feel bad for the guy who got a car from Oprah whilst having no insurance
Fight Bear: A Family Picture
Malcolm where's the Sam and Max impressions in that hat and trench coat?
never knew he had this huge studio. is that youtube providing this or is just a testament his success?
Says the guy who uses his Nicolas Cage impression to play a secret agent with the last name Schmuck.
Those are cool fedoras. Where did they get them?
Is it me, or is Doug getting gray hair? :O 23:20
***** ...33.
Hassaan Mirza lol 33 and not married
....he's been married for close to three years now.
Tom Paprzycki Both he and Rob have been married for almost three years now. They've both mentioned their wives several times in the past.
Really he seems way to stressed to be married
30:40 He looks like the thing from eraserhead
I may have trypophobia but the bullet hole wasn't making me squeamish
20:04 for evil laugh
I have Trypophobia... Thank you Malcolm.
I watched Paddington. It was cute, but the product placement was distracting to the continuity to the story. If only Demo Reel was still a thing... Someone needs to make Fight Bear.
Demo reel is over
How about this one: Hippopotamonstrosesquippedaliaphobia, the phobia of long words.
+Nemo Listing I fear I may ruin this for you. :(
That's a joke phobia.
It used to be my favourite phobia, too.... :(
Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia (Hippo poto monstroses quiped alio phobia) is a real word, that means fear of long words.James Richards
That one's the best.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! 😳 I mean ah!
Supercallifribexpialadociophobia: fear of nannies
Malcolm, how long did it take u to stop laughing?
trypophobia is indeed a real thing. It's though to be a part of some of our primitive survival instincts. Has anyone ever commented on Critic's beautiful sideburns? Because they're DAMN GOOD SIDEBURNS!
Year later. There gone. 😮
You guys should make a podcast
Oprahs 5 words "Look under your seats ladies!"
Cool. Malcolm is 1 year older than me.
Umm when will the review be unblocked?
Awww, I know what Trypophobia is Malcolm
2 things one i wish they did this with the let it go video and 2 i really hope tamara is not in her 50s

brilliant idea; they should move the studio out to LA California. Trust me they would get some good exposure out here.
It's lke a half mile from where doug lives if i remember right. he did it so he can easily stay with his family, and get actors from a big city near by, (want to say chicago, but it's been a long time) it's also a pretty good place for easily getting to cons, etc,
Lamron Jr Yes, Chicago.
I love how you all interact! I like my coworkers, but interactions with them are never even half as fun!
"I'm 57"
...s-she's kidding, right? She looks 30.
She is kidding.
First of all she's in her 20's and yes she's kidding
She’s 30 now 😐

HerityInOrder They didn't say it was bad, but instead horribly marketed.
EncyclopediaBro13 I know they didn't, but they also haven't watched it (at least at this point they hadn't) and weren't sure. I simply left my review of it saying that it wasn't as bad as it seemed.
So much shaky cam
is this BLAIR WITCH?
ehem- Robocops gun is called the Auto-9. You're welcome.

Where? They just argue over what the name is, they never say it.
it pops up as a caption
Sorry, I didn't notice.
I have tripophobia.
Why is the rum always gone
Nc should do into the woods
Tamara is adorable ;-;
Ikr.
That was so insensitive! D:<
Lol honestly it's not surprise that some of you guys don't know about it since it's not a common phobia. Either way it's super cringy to see though. It's so unnatural that it makes me panic and have goosebumps. xD
I googled it and then looked up images...My biggest regret of the year.
Oh no. If Robs old. I’m really old.
I’m 19 days older than Rob 😪😭
No really. How on earth did they do any of this withough laughing every 20 seconds.
Damnit why couldn't this behind the scenes came out before my episode of the Gameshow. Curse you [redacted] and [redacted]f!!!
Tamara looks like Arya Stark
In the Matriiix
