TLDR: Its a good deal at $39.99 for light home use. But it fails miserably as a PRO screwdriver for things it is advertised to do: ie build furniture, fences, etc. Ergonomics is an issue with the design favoring sleek lines as opposed to practical features. Nm rating is overstated as is the capability to drive thousands of screws in real world scenarios before needing a charge. The advertised magnetic bits and screw holding strength is vastly overstated. There are much better choices for professionals, and they are linked in the shop links - but you will pay pro prices.
I just bought it, it is fine for general use as long as you are intelligent enough to recognize its limitations and the multitude of bits are nice. For heavier use just get an impact driver. Building a fence is the most hilarious thing ever.
The 3.7 volt and 2000 mAh specs imply the battery is an 18650. I am here to see if battery can be easily swapped out as I’d like a tool you can quickly swap batteries instead of waiting for tool to recharge.
Chances are, yes. But clearly they did not design with this in mind until they come up with their own battery packs. If you do modify one, I’m sure a lot of people would be interested in how you do it and if you would sell the plans.
I'm not a fan of the case it's in. To bulky for mobile use. It's best for long screws on wall plates or other machine screws that don't require a lot of torque. Wood screws take too much force in many cases for most any electric screwdrivers to be effective. Laptop screws are so short I'd rather use a hand screwdriver unless I'm swapping drives in a bunch at once or something, then this is nice. I do like this for PCs but you'll need an extension to see what you're doing down inside the case. I also carry a magnetizer de-magnetizer for all my bits anyway. They all fade over time.

Thanks for the reivew! It might be easy to magnetize the screwbits by using a magnetizer. Any recommendation for use with kids toys?
I'd probably go with the Worx 4V bestbuy.7tiv.net/QjyKQo
Did you end up keepin it or returned the unit back to the Costco?
Back to Costco.
You just saved me $40, thank you!
