One of the coolest modern streamers out. It's cool to see Kelly step outside his comfort zone with synthetics and create such a productive pattern. Well done Brian.
I love the profile this fly creates with such a minimal amount of material. It seems like it will shed water easily, so I imagine it's a breeze to cast, too. The MFC vertical eye hooks are new to me. When you attach the rear hook to the front, is the wire bound so the connection runs horizontal? I'd think the rear hook would have some great swim movement side-to-side.
I just started tying 3 months ago and was always intimidated by the patterns of streamers. You make it seem fun and “easy”. This pattern would do great in my area for bass, walleye, or even gar. They love any imitation close to a bluegill or minnow. Thank you good sir for getting me ready for this new path.
As always, just a great vid! I’ve never seen some of the flash that you used. Interesting stuff! Gotta get by Feather Craft and pick some up this week. Thanks Brian!!
So much faster than watching Kelly! I was at his shop last fall and one of his employees said if you fast forward every time he takes his readers off the videos go much faster. Ha!
Just found your channel and subscribed, you have the very best channel out there. Thanks for for all your hard work. I have been tying for about 50 years and I learn a ton from you!!!
Hey Brian, I just got started with tying and you've been a big inspiration, or as the wife would put it... a bad influence on me.. Thanks for all the informative videos man, keep up the good work.
Another excellent tie… I have most of the materials or some close substitutes… is there a materials list used on this tie ? HELP …. Poop 💩 I even have these hooks … I usually use a Gamakatsu B10S up front and the vertical MFC for the articulating rear … I use the 17#-20# multi strand coated wire … tough I’ve been experimenting with a Rainbow and Brown trout patterns … got more pink/mint hues … The brown trout more yellow/light orange/dark/light browns … sometimes I use peacock herl in natural greed and I have a dark brown for the top backs … yeah a materials list would be nice to compare …
really good fly. I love mixing the flat baitfish style rear end with a sculpin front. Kicks a little different than a wooly bugger style back half. Especially love the flat profile in the spring when I'm not stripping as fast and letting it flag in the current a bit during the drift. Wish I could get on board with MFC hooks, the vertical eye is great. Bought a bunch of them and they were breaking left and right. You expect your 2x and 3x fluoro to break before the hook. Bad batch(s) maybe? 🤷♂
Nice fly Brian. I was just wondering it Kelly was making a political commentary when he named it or something else. In any case a nice fly. I need to get some of those vertical eye hooks. Keep the good stuff coming.
Hey Brian! As always great video brother! Hey man where did you get that great Rotary vice? What kind is it? It looks like a workhorse! Is it a Clydesdale lol?
Like the looks of your fly. Yours seems slightly less sparse than Kelly's. I tried to tie mine like Kelly's, but i think they are TOO sparse. Like yours a little better. I haven't been REAL successful with this pattern, but i know he says he catches a TON of big fish on it. I also think other fish like pike and smallies would like it, especially in waters where there are smelt.

Great video. Kelly's flies are so clean when tied correctly. Which you've nailed with this one. Nice fly.
Very cool tie again! This is why I keep buying tying materials 🙂
Love the color combo of the shimmer fringe!
Kelly’s flies are top notch. Nice work man!

That’s one slick, bass slayin’ fly!🔥
I like that this is different than the ghost fiber Kelly used in his video. Definitely great substitutions that Kelly mentioned in his. Sweet fly.

Great tie Brian, seems like a lot of steps but each of them are easy.

Looks like a great fly to use in my area for the pre spawn bass. Thanks for the video, Brian!

What fish could resist that fly? Good job!
Love this fly

Sweet tie 🤙🏻
Thats a nice looking bait fish pattern.
nice colours!!
Had to laugh at your Galloup’s Slick Willy comment. 😂
Looks great!
Gotta love a slick Willy!
Yet another gorgeous fly! Feels like a material-intensive tie; any chance there’s a streamer coming up with a more limited palette?
Super nice one. Now the next in line should be Galloup's Nancy P...
I bet this fly would be outstanding on snook. Need to have one for my fall visit to the 10k islands 😛
Pretty cool fly Brian
Could def make a good baby rainbow with that stuff
Glade I found your channel
Very nice
Haven't tried this one, but it looks like a good one. Let's tie one up!
Awesome job
Another winner, Brian. I am curious, why vertical eye hooks?
Thank for sharing Brian....see ya joe
Nice baitfish pattern. Very smelty
I'm loving the substitutions. Why are both of the tail feathers tied on the same side?
Thanks! The Saddles are tied in on each side.
I like Galloup's flies. But I have not tried his vertical eyed hooks. Are they worth the investment?
Nice fly. What species do you target with it?
I think that'll get down fast!
You did an awesome job on that streamer. Have you fished it yet?
Super slick
Smashing video wood work nice in my area lol 😆 all day
Nice fly Brian. I was just wondering it Kelly was making a political commentary when he named it or something else. In any case a nice fly. I need to get some of those vertical eye hooks. Keep the good stuff coming.
