A lot to be learned from the old timers, especially in the world of hunting... keep up the great work Clay!
Absolutely some of the best story telling and messages not to mention cinematography in your videos. Your work especially your message of conservation is very appreciated Sir. Doug from Canada
Thanks, Doug. Really appreciate the comment. we hope the cinematography and simple story speaks for itself on this one.
I'm just curious what story
Derek Lopez this story was simple but had two main elements: older man with a rich hunting history reflecting back on his hunting and realizing his own weakness. Secondly, he choose to pass multiple bears while waiting for an older one - this is solid conservation and what hunting over bait allows for. Targeting older animals takes the emphasis off the younger ones. Also, the film showed the utilization of the meat of the bear and spoke of the film maker’s friendship to James. It was all nuanced. Thanks
Great film! The shots, cinematography, the music, top notch work. Sparks ideas that ignites inspiration in our film work as well. And man the fat on that bear was incredible!
Thanks on the video work. Yes, that bear was incredibly fat!
I have great respect for the old hunter and his knowledge, I will be joining them soon!
Another great vid! This is high quality tv grade stuff! Congrats and much respect to a seasoned pro.
Great video! I also would really like to thank you for your intelligent and level headed responses to the comments. I enjoy listening to the podcast, as well. Keep up the great content!
Kevin Puent thanks Kevin. Appreciate you checking out the podcast. As far as comments go, I’m amazed at the people that are upset with us for killing a bear and then threaten to kill humans??? Where’s the logic?
At 67 i too still enjoy hunting old bears. Loved it thanks.
That's great.
Let them die of old age. I bet you want to.
One old boar hunting another old boar perfect. Thanks for another great video Clay.
Thanks, CHAD.
Awesome stuff Clay! Beautiful Bear.
Guess I better watch closer next time I hike the Winding Stairs (Eagle Rock Loop) in Arkansas!
Really good stuff seeing professional hunting practices and picking the right ones!
Absolutely love the cinematography!
Kyle Settle thanks!
Great film. Laurance is top shelf. The shot was too low and too far back. Time and Pacience, the next morning, They made it work. 10+
Awesome video man! Keep up the good work. I hope to get some bear hunting on film this fall!
Mitchell Rider good luck this fall.
Awesome vid!!! Lots of respect for your buddy... to be able to keep the passion alive seeing the excitement over come his face is wonderful.. i too hope to be as driven latter in life to get out there and get after them critters as i do now...passing on this life stay to the younger generation..knowing that as the years pass it gets a lil harder and a lil harder... but as we age wisdom follows..as creatures of the world we all go thru the ups and downs of life to make our survival possible... true privilege to take a wise old critter with such knowledge and instinct to survive...👍👊🏻 a true hunter never dies... its in your heart its in your soul... its life...!!!
Well said, bro. Thanks for watching!
You have a way with words . Its hard to describe but God has gave you a gift . You chose perfect words that are thought out and perfectly executed . Thanks for the videos .
Congratulations awesome bear and hunt!!!
I am going bear hunting this fall for the first time at 48yrs old, have hunted many things and grew up doing it but never have had the chance for bear yet, I hope to get a big old boar as you did!!! Congrats again!!!
Matt Leigh good luck Matt. Hope you get a big one. Keep us posted.
@@bearhuntingmagazine Thanks, hopefully, I will
Great work Clay and congrats to James. That first brown bear had a big tooth mark in his muzzle. Wonder who left it there and if there's a tooth broke off in the wound.
Thanks, Bernie. Ya, he had a scar on muzzle! Maybe we'll get him one day when he's old and we'll find out.
Another great video man! Y’all put the smack down on some bears down there.
Thanks KEITH! Appreciate all the support.
Very peaceful and moving! Great hunt!!
Thanks, John. Appreciate you always watching and commenting.
@@bearhuntingmagazine You have a great channel and you show respect for the animals that you hunt! Alot of shows act like it's a contest. The taking of an animal is a very moving thing. Thanks for keeping it honest and real!! 👍
@@johntoothman4888 Thanks, John.
Awesome! Fantastic!
Thanks!
That bear came in close mate!
As an older person and having killed a bear myself years ago, I know that these guys earned it getting the bear out. My bear wasn't nothing special at all and it was a handful for just me to get out. Just being still able to get out and to do what you love to do is awesome when you are older. Being successful is even better.
Really enjoy all your videos.
W Stobaugh thank you.
Old men, and old bears. That needs to be the title for a feature length film.
Yes. lol
Well done hunt, Well done video
Thanks!
I love your videos. I have never hunted bear and also live in Okla. Plan on doing so this year. I love you adding the Proverb from the bible in this clip. You, my friend, are a story teller and it really is a gift. Random Question - I have been reading articles that maybe eating bear isnt safe. Have any recommended articles or insight?
Awesome video love the old dude still getting after them big bears ..
Thanks man!
Very smart move. At that distance it would charge even if you hit the vitals. That situation is why I never go into the woods without a 357 magnum on the hip loaded with solid lead cast ammo.
Nice bear congratulations, thanks for sharing.
Awesome brother
Really enjoy your videos. Man they are all good. Really enjoy your friend he is a good man for sure.
Thanks Tim. Appreciate it.
He is a sociopath who enjoy for the thrill of killing. I am sure you would excuse it
Sara Girma thanks for your interest in our video and way of life. We eat the meat of the bear just like you might eat chicken, beef or lamb. The is sustainable and actually good for the wider population of bears, and their habitat. It’s science. It’s culture. It’s ancient. It’s respectful. Thanks again.
Thought the title was bears and old men. lol
Congrats to James on the brute ! Old man 👴, bear 🐻 and watermelon 🍉 🍷wine .
This is the best you tube channel , always great video and love your trad hunt. Thanks
Thanks a ton, Noel. Appreciate it.
Silly question....is the meat good to eat?
Mike Hough Bear is very good to eat. There is a lot of historic usage patterns in the part of the world. Been eaten here for a long time. Thanks
James reminds me of some of the hunting mentors and friends I have had!!...enjoy as much time as you can with him and try to retain some of the vast hunting knowledge he has built over the years..another excellent video and wonderful story !!Thanks Clay !
Ken Sprinkles thank you Ken! Appreciate it.
Nice looking Bears!
Bear Witness Safari Company thank you.
Yes alive they look great
Saw three, big population, apprears to be a great, responsible harvest.
Гарне полювання!!! Класне відео!!
Excellent
John Ward thanks JOHN.
That is the best memories created right there and to be captured and remembered for along time. Amazing stories. Your videos are better then any Hollywood films! God bless!
Larry Hawkes shucks....thanks Larry.
Super Menschheit, du hast es wieder einmal geschafft!
Who is going to comment first?
Bear Hunting Magazine what are you going to do with all that meat?
Christian B we eat bear meat and use it for all kinds of recipes.
This was a very heartfelt video, pulled alot of emotions for many in many ways, for myself most definately as i age and look back at my youth and the times i could do any feat i chose to... thank you for this video.. quick question that shot which was a great one that was a neck shot and you could hear the arrow take into the feed/bait barrel am i correct.. beautiful bear also i may say, im here in Maine and we have some bruisers here..be well and may your hunts be filled with memories and game.
They put electrical towers everywhere don't they dam
The bear is in his home... You got to close to their home... Remember
Thoroughly enjoyed the video clay, keep them coming. I appreciate all you do for the hunting community.
Wes Tull thank you, Wes.
That was awesome, loved it, thank you.
Thanks, Chris. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Good bear!! Good hunt!!
The stand off on the way into the bait is awesome. Good Job guys.
Thanks, BRIAN
This guy kinda looks like DAP from the man hunting show lol
Way to capture the essence of the hunt and of James. Great job Clay.
Thank you, Chad.
Hello from S.Carolina
Nailed the first comment as usual....thanks CHRIS.

Matt Musselman thanks Matt.
You'll should try Hog hunting in central Okla there the Real threat here destroying everything in there paths.
Good video the wise hunting the wise!I Sure wish was here get these bears here! They been eating my mom rose bushes for 3.5 months them ol bears ! Lol
Love it!
Thanks, Lamar.
Good quality video. Why use a xbow instead of a rifle and why couldn't that bear detect you, was the blind placed down wind from the bait ? I appreciate the skill and the selection of bear (old) but aren't you steelin meat from all the other critters out there in a way ? lol
Human are more scary than bears
😐 comments really took a turn for the worse. They can call this “cruel” but starvation or being eaten alive is “natural”
I can't watch with that annoying music in the background. UNNATURAL
👍 quick with the comments today! Great video as usual!
Thanks, MIKE!
Good stuff, to bad the last time I made a comment some crazy chastised me for it. 🤷🏾♂️ I’m 60 now , just went by the last of the old timers I used to hunt with, it was a good visit. Great video by the way.
It was very sad, and I don't understand it. Why did the bear have to die?
For the same reasons that a chicken has to die. F O O D
Brother! You really are making some special content.
Matt The Cat thanks a ton, Matt.
So... You're hunting for bear??
Is that a serious question?
Wabbit!
DID the bear get too close to the man? Or did the man get too close to the bear? I'd say the man got too close to the bear.
Awesome. I hope that's me in 30 years.
Dan Nelson 👊
Yes sir, Proverbs 16:31, Leviticus 19:32 Respect👍
Nailed it.
Why? Why did this bear have to die?
Congratulations
Clarkansas thanks bro.
Maybe the man got to close, it's his forest
maybe I missed something
why go in the bear's backyard and Kill it
Well, its something he was probably raised doing. The thrill of the hunt, harvesting meat you can't buy in a store, a hide... you don't have to like it and I understand why you don't but that's why.
i agrée. u shouldn’t hunt or kill animals. they love there. they feel safe there. and then u murder it.
Maybe I can hunt this old guy in the woods!!!! Hey old man you up for the challenge???? After all it's the thrill of the hunt!!!!!
Right through the neck
If you call the ribcage a neck yes.
@@iammee1111 you're just like the guy who took that shot , "Off" it was through the neck..
@@iammee1111 weird🤔you can see it go through the neck and hit the barrel sound n all .. lol.. glasses you need to i see. ;)
@@matthewmaxcy1574 No you do. You see the arrow come from the right and it may look like it hits the neck. But it actually hits in the heart area. Get some younger eyes to show you!
@@iammee1111 😂😂 ohh i see.. you can hear it hit the barrel, and i frame by frame traced that shot ,and i am willing to place money on my claim are you.
Baiting animals to "hunt" them is an embarrassment to hunters.
ThrillMediaInc baiting allows for a hunter to be selective and position the animal for an ethical shot. And it very difficult to harvest older, mature animals in a baiting situation. Thanks for your interest in our video.
Cowards
What ?
Thanks for your interest in our video, bro.
@@mikegeorge9333 pretty easy to understand what I meant.
So that gave orgasm?? I'm really sorry I might be half knowledged.. or miss informed, why are we passing into their territory and hunting them?? Bear who was face off meant no harm he backed off instantly, so we are we tracking him just barely for bear meat? Way to conclude the video with a peaceful music.
Hunting shouldn't be called a sport though, you're hiding and you put out bait, not difficult to shoot something that way.
Hunting is not a sport. Its a way to get food, and in fact he ate that bear so WHAT IS THE FUCKING PROBLEM
I wish that's bear could of hunted you. I live in Montana and they are very beautiful animals why would u kill a helpless animal.
I totally agree.
It's really unnecessary in today's world to hunt in America. I'm not against hunting in other parts of the world for survival but not here anymore.
Your right, these people belong in the middle East hunting ISIS
Greg Land hey guys thanks for your interest in our video, but I think you’ve misunderstood modern North American hunting. We have wildlife and wild places in here because of hunting. We have the most big game of any place in the world because of hunting not in spite of it. Where wildlife has cultural value it is protected. We value and protect wildlife here more than any place on the planet!
@@bearhuntingmagazine killing for fun is sick. That's why we have Pumas and wolf's .they control population.
A coward hunt
This kind of videos should be banned. So disgusting
Excellent
Adam Wingler thanks man!
