Thank you for sharing a paid video. Im twenty six and im looking at making a trade for myself.
You help me develop my skills.
Cheers to you and your wife for the constant inspiration.
I hope you enjoy all the star pattern on the pdf, don't miss our next two videos that show how we build many more!!!
Thank you. Love your videos
Thank you, I hope you watch the next two that show even more stars!😀
Great video David, looking forward to the other two in the series.
Thanks, I'm going through other videos to upload more projects
That was a great video!
One of the things that made it so good was that Dallas Golden did the filming and helped with the editing! 😀
Wonderful video! The star is so pretty. 😍 One question, where do you purchase your jewels? As always "Thank You" for taking the time to share your priceless wisdom! I love your channel ❤ Huge fan from Washington State 😃 🌲🌲🌲
You can find jewels at Mcgills Warehouse online .. thanks for all your comments 😀
@@GommStainedGlass I checked them out. Thank you so much! The prices aren't too bad either. I really appreciate the fact that you actual answer our questions. So many UA-camrs claim that they want to teach and help us but never answer our questions. You and Jeannie are the best and so appreciated 😊💕
@@theresevarney4715 Sometimes it takes a long time to get to answering, but we eventually get there!
@@GommStainedGlass Yes, you do and I super appreciate it. I hope I'm not asking too many questions, if so, sorry. I understand questions and comments help with the algorithm for your channel. I want to help in anyway I can. Love your channel! 😍
Hi great video! You mentioned 1/4”copper foil is the star 7/32 glass? Do you prefer 1/4” foil on your projects? Ed in CT
By far and away we use more 1/4" foil in our studio, it's probably just what you get used to.
Very well explained as always David👍…I have a question on the grinder; what is that you use instead of the sponge to bring water to the grinder head…and where do I find it (?) 🙏🏻thank you
I use a sponge, for a while we used quick fit bits that have little grinder loops that go on them. When using them we could use an Aqua-flow system that has a brash that rests in a holder in the grinder and has brushes that force water up onto the bit. We quit using quick fit bits because the rings got easily deformed. And we quit using the Aqua-flow system because they were a bit of a hassle to deal with, but they do work well if you can get them for the grinder you've got. You might look at Delphi for them
@@GommStainedGlass I appreciate you taking the time answering my Q. -thank you very much!
David, could you explain the comment you made saying on windows you don't burnish your foil edges. Why is that? Thanks
I usually get good enough adhesion and we are a commercial studio, so we try to get things done as quickly as possible. Jeanne always burnishes her foil and I do on the occasion when I think I need to.
Can you use any essential oil and what is the mixture, 50-50? Thank you 😊
We've used orange oil and lavender oil and most any would work. Make sure you mix it 50/50 with some food grade type oil so it's not sticky or it will gum up your cutter wheel.
What is the necessity for using a food safe oil to blend with the fragrant oil. NO ONE should eat off a soldered glass piece. Why not just a conventional cutter oil?
The blended oil doesn't get gummy. If you use straight essential oil, after 2 weeks you'll notice the cutter wheels don't roll as freely. It's a food grade massage oil that just happens to be food grade. Works great and we can make it for students cheaply.
