    I love making queso, what I do instead of sausage however is to use whatever leftover bbq meat I have vacuum sealed and frozen. Usually pulled pork or brisket.

    Love the fun interaction together. I'll have to try to make this and "ketofy" it for us. I've done queso with heavy whipping cream but need to check the carbs on Velveeta. Thanks Todd & Susie.

    this is one of my favorite dishes. I just smoke it in the ceramic bowl out of one of my crock pots so I can just pop it in and keep it warm. love your videos keep it up thanks Todd 👍

    A1/4 cup of pilsner beer helps the cheso to not “coagulate” so it flows better especially after refrigeration.

    TYSVM for the spice recipe. My woe is Carnivore so the only carbs I get is from spices, no sugars. It is really hard to find great spice recipes that do not contain sugars. Hubby and I will be making a batch to have on-hand today.

    We used home made salsa instead of recutting more peppers and canned tomatoes. Was great. Also used hot sausage.

    I made this last week for our Friendsgiving Nacho Bar! I used Kroger branded Chorizo made with premium pork, black beans and added quiet a bit of milk to get a more sauce like consistency (maybe even 2 cups worth). It was a hit at the party! Thanks for sharing and do more surprise basket of ingredients shows, it was great seeing you two work together more! ❤️

    Very very nice guys. Cream would be best, and milk would work for thinning, but you could also just add some Jack Cheese, or for all of the spicy nuts, "Jalapeno Jack" which would add some really nice melt, but not thin too much. Some sour cream would be awesome too. Again, nice job with this one.

    I like a bit more sw flavor. Also not a fan of green bells. Instead I roast pablano peppers and add. You can also add a can of cream of mushrooms soup to thin it out some. Preferably low sodium since Velveeta is loaded with it.

    Try using a can of cream of chicken, It thins it out just a little. I made it to thick one time and a friend told me to do the can of cream of chicken and that's the only way I do it now.

    Apology or not, there was way too much whining and complaining on your part to make this stuff for your man. It’s irrelevant whether you like it or not, he does and that should be enough. And, in the future, ya might wanna rein in the the snarky comments and shitty looks …. it shows a serious lack of respect for your husband.     Guys since y'all are not from Texas I will give you a pass on the Queso. The correct cheese to use in authentic Chili con queso is American block cheese, I will post all ingredients below:
    Here’s a list of what you need:
    American cheese
    Whole Milk
    Canned green chilies
    Garlic
    Garlic Salt
    Onion
    Tomatoes
    Place cheese and milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
    Cook and stir until cheese is melted and blended.
    Add chilies with liquid, garlic, garlic salt, and onion. Cook and stir until onions are transparent.
    Remove from heat and add tomatoes before serving.
    You're welcome, you know how to properly make Chili con queso =)
