I'm glad they gave it a slightly bigger engine. I test drove one a month ago and it really impressed me. I was really surprised by the interior quality and room for such a small vehicle.

Your reviews are the most in depth and helpful reviews on UA-cam. I've been talking to a dealership about a used Spark and a used Smart fortwo (just watched your vid on it too) I'm trying to make up my mind which one but the cars I want are in a different city. Just bought 2017 and I love this car . For small car drives very smooth with tight steering and quite ride. Seats are super comfortable and has enough power to get out of traffic. Not to mention back up camera and 7 inch screen with Apple play. Fun car to drive I highly recommend this car .

I had a 2013 spark and I loved it. It was a manual, so that was part of the zippy little fun, but I only started having a sensor issue after about 5 years.

Nice review, when anyone points out a steering wheel or vanity mirror in a review it brings me back to the Johnson Automotive "Angry badger" commercials (very nice campaign if you're in sales) would have been nice to have a side by side 2015/16 spark sitting there, so you could compare road clearance height (for snowy areas) Looks like the 16 is a bit closer to the ground. I like the placement of the cup holders in front of the Trans stick.,would prefer covered center storage like in the old cavaliers. (03, with 466k+ original miles (who'd thunk it possible), smokes a bit but still rolls, held together with rust and coffee stains.). Thanks again for the review

Mike - great review of this new awesome small car from Chevrolet, made by Daewoo - Chevrolet of South Korea. I really liked your in-depth walk-around with such a good look at minute detail of this car. I wouldn't mind having OnStar nor this awesome stereo with Android Auto as my Moto E by Motorola smartphone has Android KitKat 4.4.4 installed. I have yet to test it out but I believe what that gives me the capability to do is download my phone's app.'s on to my 2016 Chevy Spark's Android Auto system and be able to play my saved UA-cam videos besides downloaded CD's I own that are saved on to a flash drive. So the Spark has a pretty cool audio system installed straight from the factory already. Can't wait for a test drive in the little Spark plug - I would buy one with the 5-speed manual transmission. I like the red color Chevy is painting this car-it's called Salsa. Again, thanks for the awesome review - I'll turn other people on to it that like small cars like the Spark/Mirage and perhaps even the larger subcompact's like the Kia Soul and Scion soon-ta-be Toyota iA, too. When the new 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback and G4 sedan come out make sure you do a video review of them, too, OK?

Just watched a super boring review video before this of the 2016 Spark and as the intro played for this, I perked up and said "ooo, now THIS is what I wanna see!" Interesting camera view. Can already tell its gunna be a good video! :)
would have liked to see how blind spot monitor worked but I enjoyed this informative video.
Also has a wifi option available and I believe there are 3 months free of charge! Or at least at my dealership haha

Maker has made a mini car a master piece like expensive cars and still did not charge a arm and a leg for it ive been in love with sentra nissan this is the first car equipped with more and made for small but roomy for 6 ft ?? Inches roomy perfect for 4 ft 10 ins 112. lbs features for days dreams have been answered for many people just dont like air bags in drivers face but a beautifully made car i love a car easy to wash especially the top dont have to use door ledge just stand on flat feet

I make test drive videos occasionally but never 0-60s.
If you want rear seat leg room, these newer subcompact cars sadly, don't have any. You either have to get a Chevy Sprint or Ford Festiva (not Fiesta). I'm unsure of the rear seat legroom in the Dodge Omni and Geo Metro. The Chevy Sprint I believe is a lot more rare than the Ford Festiva due to the cash for clunkers program. The Festiva rode on the Kia platform with a Mazda engine. I'm not sure what the story is with the Sprint. 3 automakers collaborated on the Festiva and automakers are getting together again like the old days. Thanks for the video, I like the Spark despite its lack of rear seat legroom, but it would be nice if it had more.
The Spark is more like a two-seater with four doors. I don’t put passengers in the back seat. There is almost no space between the rear bumper and the back seat. If I were rear ended, the back seat passengers would get clobbered.
With gas prices this high I didn't even hesitate to grab one today lol

IT WOULD BE SWEET TO HAVE THE 1.4 L TURBOCHARGED ENGINE THAT COMES IN THE SONIC, IT WOULD BE A LITTLE POCKET ROCKET. THE RIDE IS VERY GOOD FOR A SMALL CAR. GREAT MYLINK RADIO SYSTEM. OH YEA, GET THE STICK SHIFT, IT’S A BLAST TO DRIVE.

versa note is 18inch longer. ford fiesta is almost 30 inch longer. so can not compare to spark directly in my opinion. fiat 500 is the closest to spark in term of size.

Kevin Ramos I won't call it anything close to my old Avenger (3.6l v6 flex fuel), but I'm not complaining about it, if I need to match highway speeds it feels just fine. As soon as you touch the gas you can feel instant acceleration.
+SamSesshu I got a great deal on my 2016 by shopping on cars.com for a couple of months. Getting a sub $16k 2016 Spark isn't hard to do.
Look for deals you can easily be under budget with this car. We got a base LS manual for under 11,500 and it does the job just fine for commuting.
I wonder if you can TurboCharge this thing. Well, I wonder if Chevrolet will throw a RS or an optional Turbocharged Version of this? 130HP 140lbft maybe? Maybe once they get rid of the Sonic.

The Mitsubishi Mirage has MUCH more rear seat leg and hip room and gets significantly better fuel economy. at 45 mpg with a stick shift.

My daughter has the 2015 Spark and although she loves it and so do I, it does not get anywhere near the 40+ miles per gallon Chevy claims it does. It gets about 32 to 34 miles to the gallon realistically during normal driving. Not bad but still not what Chevy claims. Maybe the 2016 version does indeed reach the 40+ mpg mark. Have you found that the 2016 Spark truly reaches the claimed mpg? One thing about the 2015 is the way it seems to spend lots of its time in lower gears while getting up to speed. I suspect that this is the reason why it's gas millage suffers a bit.

Whoa! That is very low gas mileage for that car for sure. The car could be a winner if it just had the gas mileage Chevy advertised and a much better sorted out powerband. My daughter loves her car. It's her first one so of course she is oblivious to it's short comings. But in your case at just 22 miles per gallon you should write Chevy and demand a fix or a new car.
