You were smart to keep the onerous building permit process off of your social media. It would have alienated the local authorities . Thank you for resisting the temptation to pad your content with this frustrating experience this past year. I applaud your maturity and good manners.
👏 This comment also. It's a shame the council acted/acts in this manner, the permit process should be straightforward with a definite resolution quickly - they're not doing the current owners any favors either. Bravo to Matt and Jesse for good judgment to move on! ❤❤
This video proves, once again, what terrific guys you are. You always handle things beautifully and keep your content on a wonderful, uplifting note. It's takes maturity to explain a big decision like this in a way that appreciates the things that went well and leaving out harsh criticism of things that didn't. Kudos!
Aaahhhccckkkkk, you’re killing me! I am too excited to finally see your new place. Please, I beg of you, don’t make us wait much longer! Really, I’m very happy for you both and for your fur babies. You guys are terrific. ❤
I'm glad this journey has not broken you both financially and mentally. If you have the means, then never compromise in going for exactly what you want. ❤
Love how Matt is really listening to Jesse during this update. Feels like you both are in a very healthy happy head space & that this journey has only brought you closer. Renderings are spectacular. Versailles feel as well as your noted influences. What a dream come true...✨️✨️✨️✨️
Wow! You two young men have so much wisdom. You set an incredible example for achieving your HEARTS Desires! So much Love and Gratitude to both of you! ❤
Wow! That’s incredible that you stepped back. You’re both mature beyond your years. The designs are exquisite. I’m so excited to see what you’ve chosen. Thank you for this series. It’s been quite the ride.
It’s really nice to hear Jesse’s articulateness and voice in a stronger way. It feels more like a partnership. I’m excited to see what’s coming up for you both and for us. This has been really fun.❤
It's important to know when to hold on to something and when to let go... also, and this is not about Matt & Jesse, it can be difficult but so so important to let yourself quit something you should never have begun, especially because there's often pressure to finish what you've started - yes, do that if you can, but not at all cost... listen to your heart & instincts as well as your head.
Sometimes things just arent meant to be. Better for the council to be difficult now, instead of being difficult later after you're already locked into the property. I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to see the new property! The renderings of new stable looks absolutely gorgeous
@@matt_harnacke Please show us the next video soon. I thought property #3 was perfect if you could buy the adjoining acreage, I'm anxious to see what you finally purchased. Have you thought of having peacocks in the garden of your next property? I think you would love it.
Matt didn’t comment on when the next episode is coming out like he has been! Hopefully not long. Im happy the series is continuing though. It is a beautiful design, I’m sure the final one will be also. Looking forward to seeing the whole home building journey unfold.
I love your positivity through all of this. Yes, it can be frustrating but it appears that you realize that getting negative or depressed doesn't change anything accept your health. I will be waiting to see your new place with the both of you and your horses.
Thanks for sharing some of the behind the scenes dealing with approval processes and disappointments. It’s all part of the ups and downs that come looking for the right property to call home. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out as I certainly can see the potential of that property but I believe everything does happen for a reason and can’t wait to see where you settled down. The stable renderings were gorgeous.
Please Please the waiting is killing me ,REALLY. So glad your heads are ruling your hearts as I feel that that’s always the way to go.love you guys.Much love from the UK.🇬🇧 ❤
Guys, you have come so close to your dream, but you're wise enough to know when to step back. I wait with excitement to see both you, Matte, and Jesse fulfill that dream.❤
The property was definitely a beautiful canvas. Wish it had had more trees. Your design was spectacular, of course!! I expect nothing less from you two. Such excellent esthetic taste.I know that all of the heart and soul you put into that planning only lead you to your true heart property!! Can't wait to see it!
So nice to take us all with you on your journey ❤ I like the designs very much, but please don’t forget the swallows in your concept! They came to a place for many generations, so it would be nice from you to keep them in the new design ( and in the correct time too) when you start to rebuild ! Hope to see the finaly property 🤗🤩
You kept this secret close to the vest, and I guess since you weren’t sure, that was the better idea. Love the designs Andrea helped bring to life for you, can’t wait to see how it all works out. So, we still haven’t seen the property that will be your new home, or have we? Guess next week we will have our answer, have to say, some of those trees looked familiar 😉. Always great to see you Matt and Jesse, this is so exciting.🐎🌳💕👍
I absolutely love this series as I navigate the purchase of a home myself. The ups and downs of real estate are pretty mind boggling. Cannot wait until the next installment!
The designs looked beautiful, but I like the trees in the sneak peak. They give such a homey feel. Loving the journey and can't wait for the reveal. Love you guys so much!!!!! ❤❤❤
Even though you weren't able to use the designs (yet), I would love to see a video of the process. Would love to see more renderings, too. They were beautiful.
What a shame to invest that much time, effort, love and money, and then have to pull out of the purchase. You both have such wonderful attitudes and deserve everything your hearts desire. I can’t wait to see your dream home and stables. Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us.
Out of #1 through #4 properties, I have now revised my guess to #3 and / or #4. #3 cause I don't think Matt could EVER give up that exquisite tree lined drive, and Jesse can see horses from just about every window. He can also have his private little bench seat near the pond to slow down his rapid fire mind 😊 !!! and #4 cause that secluded, private outdoor arena would be an excellent spot for a custom home, out of the line of sight from the other buildings & Jesse can see the horses through the trees! 😅 Whatever property you fellows choose, I'm confident you'll create a dream come true!!! 🎉 Hope we don't have to wait to long! ❤❤❤
#3 is my favorite, the tree lined driveway and the lovely pond and garden you can see from every room. If they could buy the adjoining acres this would be perfect.
@chasingfences1302 *** I agree. #3 is really the most beautiful, tranquil & serene. The house is awesome, but even with more land, they'd still have to build a stable, in/out arena & guest house. A huge undertaking, but it really is beautiful!!!
Wow! It's easy to see why it was hard to walk away from that gorgeous property. I loved the new building plans with the beautiful used brick look, too. Okay, enough of the properties you did not buy - when do we get to see the property you bought? When, when, WHEN??? I can't wait!
I think it was the right thing to wait till the perfect opportunity to make itself known. You will have to work very hard to make your new place help pay for itself and it should be perfect. Love the design you chose.
Wonderful, how exciting for you guys to have found what you have been searching for. So, for us that watch the journey you are on, dreams do come true. Love the renderings, I could live in the stables they are that good.
I love watching you pick your place, as we move on to retirement and selling our farm for the next generation. Bitter sweet runs both ways 💕 Best of luck on the continued search, we're all rooting for you!
That sucks that the logistics just didn’t work out. The designs were truly beautiful, but by the sound of it, you found an even better opportunity! Can’t wait to see!!
The design, and designer company, is outstanding and top notch. Good to hear you’re both using this company for your next home. Bravo to you both. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I looked for my 1st house from 2008 to 2011. One of the 1st houses that I saw and did put an offer on was literly a dream house for me. Maybe it was the time of day I was there I don't know. It was close to 9 a.m., sunny, blue pristine sky. I walked onto the porch, which was softly lit by that morning sun giving it a soft glow to the stone siding on the house. It was a craftsman and it just glowed to me. Every house after that for 3 more years failed to overcome that 1st house in my mind. Finally in 2011 after just saying I was tired of looking to only lose out again did I find the house that I just knew was the place. About 1 week or so before closing I asked my hubby to take me back by that 1st house. I hadn't seen it since that magical May day. Well, that house lost its magic that day and I knew for certain I was about to close on the right house. My point is that sometimes the thing we want in our heart doesn't work out but that ok because just around the corner is a thing better for us then we know about before we find it. Sorry to hear that you guys had to learn this as well especially after 8nvesting so much time and money. But, I know that the property you now have is the place for you just as mine was for me. Enjoy the process.
What a journey. The designes were beautiful. The smiles and happiness at the end saying you found your dream property is very uplifting. So excited for the next video.
So sorry it did not pan out after so much planning and work. Very good to look at it as a learning experience. What's meant to be is right around the corner. Ok, we are ready now!
Ack! Super excited to see the next episode. It's a shame you aren't going to see those awesome plans come to life there. However, that just tells me you found something even better! ❤

Oh wow, you’ve all been through many twist and turns in this adventure. What a roller coaster ride🤦♀️ Everything happens for a reason. In the end, it will all work out!! Enjoy the ride 😊🐴
Wow...after all of that hard design work, you had to come to a tough decision. After 50 years in real estate development, my rule of thumb is that a project will take twice as long and cost twice as much as first estimated -- so you made the right decision for yourselves. Thank you for these informative videos on your purchase quest.
Loved the plans you developed and sad that it just wasn’t meant to be. However, I believe that something better will come your way. I really applaud the two of you for your patience and staying true to your dedication of finding what you want. So many people begin to panic and end up purchasing something that they are never happy with. I look forward to your next video. ❤❤

Really can't wait to see where this property has lead you both
Thank you for sharing your property searching experience. Very educational, sticking to what you Really Want! And a great lead for those of us who are also looking.
I ❤how much these amazing guys share with use. Because doing a video on buying a new home would give me anxiety. Not from filming, the anxiety would be from the negative comments. It's so hard to put your deserved accomplishments online. This couple have worked their butts off to be able to create a beautiful home for the animals firstly and themselves second. No joke, both men put their animals first before themselves. Which is lovely to watch.
It takes time to find your dream home. Land without a home and staples may actually be easier to find and build it into your dream. The stable plans look fabulous. Appreciate your sharing
This place is so charming...I'm actually glad you didn't buy & tear down. Building a place that's customized to suit your needs is an excellent plan. Its so hard to find a property and remodeling sometimes isn't cost effective. All this must be so very stressful. I wish you the best of luck & hope to see soon ur furry friends galloping thru the field in ur new home. ❤
I am glad you guys eventually got to the right place. God is good and the path was set for where you’ve landed. I’m so excited to see the property! 🙏🏻❤️
Sounds wonderful. I hope you are going to have a clock and weathervane on the outside. They are things that I feel finish a building off. You will have nailed everything else and probably have also included them. When I had a small extension built on my house I included a brick that included the date of the build as I love seeing them on old buildings. I also put a "Time Capsule" in the build for future generations and you have such interesting lives that future generations would probably love to know more about you and your horses. I am so excited for you both. What a great chapter this is going to be.
Well, I am surprised. I’m sorry you had to spend so much time with all the designers just to have government regulation almost strangle you. But as you say, it was a learning experience that will serve you well when you find (or already have found) your heart property. Can’t wait. It’s been such an exciting journey with you. The stables renderings are gorgeous and look like one of the luxury stables you show us.
Thank you for sharing. I know it was a hard decision. Glad the both of you were determined to build what you want and not what was approved. Looking forward to the next vid! btw I do see Matt designing "Equine Accommodations" in the future! 🐴😃
Thanks for sharing your journey! I used to have a horse when I was younger but no more. I found my forever home 3 years ago in Steelville Missouri. USA. 40 wooded acres with a couple of ponds. I am excited to see the next property! Good luck with everything!

I am finding your journey fascinating. Thanks for the great videos

Thank you for sharing. I know it was a hard decision. Glad the both of you were determined to build what you want and not what was approved. Looking forward to the next vid! btw I do see Matt designing "Equine Accommodations" in the future! 🐴😃
I am so over excited to see the place you chose and to continue this outstanding experience with you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing your journey! I used to have a horse when I was younger but no more. I found my forever home 3 years ago in Steelville Missouri. USA. 40 wooded acres with a couple of ponds.
I am excited to see the next property! Good luck with everything!
