- How to solve the “Hmm, we can’t reach this page” problem in Microsoft Edge.
A number of users have reported this strange issue relevant to Edge browser i.e. it responds Hmm, we can’t reach this page to all the request that are passed through. Although, other browsers seem to work fine at the exact moment. While checking the network connection, no problem is found causing this issue. So, Edge users are frustrated by this problem restricting them from browsing the web.
Reasons Behind Edge’s error “We can’t reach this page”
There might be numerous reasons for Edge to have this issue. The most know reason is related to DNS client which might have been disabled after upgrading to Windows 10.
Based on the reason, I mentioned above, there are a number of methods you should give a try in order to get Edge back to work. Follow the methods shown in this tutorial.

It only worked for a while and the status type button was already automatic, I can’t change it :( everytime I do this it will work but afterwards it will go back to the same problem. What to do?

Unfortunately, I had to undergo a total reset of my PC last evening and reinstall Windows 10 because nothing would display after I tried to load Windows following a power disruption. The monitor was fine. The Windows logo would display, but then all would go dark while my PC busily made all the noises of a happily working machine.
Believe me, I tried and tried; and I also waited for long periods of time while I went off and did other things, but the monitor remained dark. I was never presented with the login screen. I could shake my mouse and my cursor would display ─ somewhat enlarged; but it would soon disappear if I quit moving the mouse.
Using Safe Mode was useless ─ the screen was dark then, too.
I tried a System Restore, but only two points were offered. When I tried the most recent, the process failed. When I returned to that area to try the second point, this time it was claimed that I had no System Restore points!
So I felt that I had no other option but to attempt the total PC reset and reinstallation of Windows 10.
Upon going through that lengthy process, I of course lost every app / software I had ever downloaded. Two or three of them I had paid to have a decade or more ago, and those are now lost, for I have no idea where I originally got them.
I have no backups. I am a 70-year-old pensioner so damned deep in debt that I will die this way. If my computer had actually died, then I would have gone dark myself ─ my Web presence would have probably come to an end, and I'd have kissed away my six hosted websites and two free blogs.
A stepson managed to somehow access an Explorer browser that worked, so I used it to install Firefox. Since then, the Explorer browser seems to have vanished, and I am still left with an essentially dead Edge browser.
I've been using Firefox to download the crucial free apps / software I used to have that are involved in the area of security and so forth, and I've also downloaded the Chrome browser; but Edge just won't connect to the Web.
I tried following your video, but I can't proceed beyond 1-min and 40-secs at the Network and Sharing Center because there are no active networks: "You are currently not connected to any networks."
When I attempt to "Set up a new network" and I am led to an empty box that is apparently supposed to populate with "the wireless router or access point" that I am to then select and try to configure, nothing ever appears in the blank box.
Evidently I am going to have to live without Edge. I never used it before, except to have access to my Gmail account because it involves an entirely different set of Google credentials than those I otherwise use ─ that is, I have two Google accounts, and I prefer not to have to keep logging in and out of them to switch from one to the other. Thus, I always used Edge for the one account, and Firefox and Chrome for the other.
Perhaps I will see about setting up Chrome with the Google account that I always kept active in my old Edge browser, and exclusively use Firefox for the other Google account.
Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to vent!

When I do ipconfig /flushdns it doesn't do anything. It just says windows ip configuration but it doesn't say it's flushed the cache.

guys just go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts open the file with notepad and locate the site adress and then delete it and save the file back it's worked for me

I can’t find command prompt (admin) when I right click on the home button.
Go task manager then click the file and type cmd
then search command prompt ;)

Does not work, I tried everything. I click on Edge Browser and nothing happens, like nothing at all. I have been trying to get this to work all morning, I don't know what else to do, it's my favorite browser.....

@@MDTechVideos Hey yea for some reason my time on my dell laptop with windows 7 all of a sudden started going crazy on me and showing the wrong time because its failing to sync with time.windows, i got it to sync with some of the other options but then it would just go out of sync again and then i couldnt sync with that option either anymore and for some reason my browsers keep coming up with that "hmm we cant reach this page" thing or something saying my clocks out of time even if i manually set it to the right time and the only fix is to reset my laptop its so weird why is this happening all of a sudden after like 10 years of having this laptop lol also microsoft edge wont play videos on sharing sites anymore, its so random.. i feel like windows is just constantly throwing me riddles to try get me to buy a new computer or something but it aint over till its over :p

This is completely ridiculous. If a browser can't handle the most basic tasks (browsing websites), then it doesn't deserve to call itself a web browser. I have never (and I mean never) had this sort of problem on Chrome or Firefox. What a dumpster fire. This video was posted over a year ago and they still can't fix it. MS needs to get its shit together.
It worked but I immediately downloaded Chrome afterwards. Microsoft edge randomly gives u so many roadblocks and issues

Actually, I faced this problem for the moodle courses database site for my institution. I have performed your said instructions but still I didn't get it. Funnily, it opened when I used InPrivate mode in Edge! 😂😂🤣🤣
Although, I should that I don't always face this issue everytime. Only a few times and after I browse through other sites for sometime, I get it back again in normal mode
