My sweet Mom always suggested to me to squint at placement of design elements to see if things were balanced🥰it even works with Christmas tree lights🎄. This was really fun❣️❣️🧚♀️❄️💕🦊😊
Masks are also great for planning designs too. I think much better with the actual images than with sketches. I will use masks to layout my composition and then take a picture, otherwise I’ll forget what I thought was fabulous a moment ago.
So beautiful! So I am new to the inks. I have bought about 6 plastic bottles. Can I use a brayer? I do t have a stamp block and am wondering if I need one. And also, please don’t discontinue the Mermaids!! I think all of us coastal customers agree! Love them. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sheri! There are several projects using the Brayer and ink etc over on our Facebook Tribe page. If you are not already a member you can join here: facebook.com/groups/IODcreativetribe/ It is a great resource for ideas!! We love the mermaids too! 😍
This is interesting. I need to learn new techniques. I think these stamps are the same images as the Midnight Garden transfer that is being discontinued. Although I am sad about that, this is a very good idea!
Love this! Such great information and unique techniques shared! I'm dying to know when the inks will be available? I watched twice and didn't hear anything mentioned.
Hi, I used one of your transfers on a new project I did. The transfers would not release from the top piece and the adhesive stuck to my painted surface pulling up the paint. What should I do now? Thanks for any help.
Hi Lynette! I'm so sorry for this, that must have been so frustrating! That is not at all typical and we'd love to help you get to the bottom of what happened. Please contact our customers service at customerservice@ironorchiddesigns.com and they will help you out!
I love the transfers. But I have had so many issues with them. It’s super frustrating to purchase a product, put a bunch of work into it then have it ruined by a transfer that won’t come off correctly. Pls fix the issue. I cannot be the only one who has said anything about this issue.
Lynette Hello! I’m so sorry for your frustration! Can you be more specific as to what happened? Also, please inform your stockist if anything was defective about your transfer, they will certainly stand behind it because we do! Which transfer did you have issues with?
Wait. Did I miss something? I thought you said you sealed the board with polyurethane before adding color. Does that mean your artisan inks will stick over the top of polyurethane? That’s not usual.
Hey there, our artisan inks are not yet released but yes they will 😍 . In the meantime, you can use Dr. PH. Martin’s india inks as a substitute. It will stick over a sealed surface (we use FLAT out flat polyurethane by General finishes, for a little tooth). Wait for your finished artwork to be completely dried before sealing, and to avoid any smudge, use a spray sealer OR , dilute some poly 1 to 4, poly to water, and brush on a quick coat, dry and re-coat with full poly. Happy creating!

What if you don’t sand them the first time?
The medium doesn't stick to your stamp as well. With a thick paint, you won't notice as much, but with a fine ink, you'll see the difference for sure.
Jayne Warren Belk of Funkiture Gifts and DIY was the first artist I had seen to do masking, a few months ago. It’s brilliant.
