Indigenous Student Tuition Waiver Explained! 🎓 💰

Isn't University & College FREE for Indigenous students?
Indigenous communities have a very fixed budget by the government of canada to fund post-secondary students.
In most First Nations, these funds can’t support all students, and they don’t cover total tuition, nor do they cover living expenses and other expenses associated with going to post-secondary either.
The University of Waterloo in Ontario has created an innovative program never seen in *Ontario before that offers a Tuition Waiver for Eligible First Nations Students.
Melissa Ireland, the Director of Indigenous Relations at the University of Waterloo shared an amazing explanation of the Tuition Waiver for University Students at UW, it's amazing to hear what she had to say.

Curious, would Trade Schools, Trade Unions create new Trade Schools to match this initiative to create a opportunity to fix the housing crisis, both on and off reservation.

I think waiving the tuition is a great idea that would definitely benefit many students. There should be more programs across Canada’s universities/colleges such as this!
