I've watched a lot of knife making videos, but this one has me sold on L.T. Wright knives, the knowledge and presentation by Scott was brilliant, he even sounds as if he likes his job.
G'day Will, Thanks again, mate. I love coming back to these two videos to remind myself of the decades of experience and craftsmanship that goes into every LTWK knife. I never get tired of seeing how much of the finishing work is judged by eye and 'feel' alone. These are people who love what they do and are very good at it all. If anyone ever tells me that LTWK blades are too expensive they'll get pointed to these videos. For my hard earned money LT's knives are worth every cent and, given what they are, represent fantastic value for money. I'm not going to stop until I own at least one of every knife they make, plus a couple of custom blades. Thanks Will and thanks to LT, Scooter and all the gang at LTWK! P.S. if you like their knives look up The Pout House group and join. I did and I've met many really good people. Cheers, BH
As someone looking to start making knives, I'm marking this one for a rewatch when I'm further along on gathering equipment. Thanks for to you Will and the folks at LT Wright for not just showing the how, but explaining the why on the finer details better than I've seen anyone else do.
Every small thing in which so much labor is invested, becomes a small piece of happiness for the owner. I will definitely order myself a knife in this place where beautiful knives are born. Thanks
that last guy sharpening really loves his job and it shows. So,form burr on both sides, buff and remove .I love sharpening my knives but have to admit I get lazy when forming the burr. Definitely need to take it to the next level. Great videos!!!!!!
I never really gave them another look because most of their designs aren't for me for the price but now I want one just because of the exceptional craftsmanship. Great video Will.
I noticed that the view-count on PART-2 was not as high as for PART-1 ... Anyone who bailed-out during PART-1 is REALLY missing out !! I am *SO* glad that I watched all of both parts ... and ... I would like to thank the folks at LTW (and Will) ... I am a believer !!
I love my LT Wright knives, but never realized just how much expert hand work goes into each one. This truly shows why the price for one is totally justifiable. I need a Scandi Genesis in G10 next…
Yep, just as engrossing as the first part, and some great advice there over both videos. The L. T. Wright team have got it down to art, brilliant! Thanks Will, and I look forward to seeing you create your own blade from start to finish.
Really interesting video. I bought two of L.T.s knives this year, a Genesis and a GNS. It's great to see how they are made. There is a lot of real craftsmanship in their work. Thanks, William!
I ordered me a custom patriot before seeing this video but after seeing all that went into these knives, I'll be ordering more. I think I want a GNS next. Thanks for the video.
Thanks much for posting these, both great video's. 2 thumbs up. I've purchased two L.T. Wright knives so far, the Lagom Bush Knife and the Bushcrafter, both in O1 steel.
I waited to 2017 to get a lt wright knife. Now I have 3 and interested in more. Genesis does most things well and is right up there with my top fixed blades for working on wood it may be my fav. Thanks for sharing your visit and thanks lt wright.
It is refreshing to see people who enjoy their work putting out a high quality item. The prices for these knives is a bargain for all of the hands on work that gets done. I wish I could see how they make the blades and heat treat.
that was super Will thanks and Happy Christmas to you, Megan and your kids hope Santa is going to really good to Megan, because she has to put up with you all year LOL!!! Peace Love Light
great videos watched with great interest always good to see how the other half lives, now back to my dungeon and prehistoric ways lmao thanks for sharing
I bought the genius ofitw, I love the knife. I had to send it back though for some rework on the sheath. Great customer service. I will definitely buying another knife from them.
You can tell soo much from the sound of cutting paper, hiw sharp a knife is, is there any burrs, bends or chips. That knife sounded really sharp, not a fan if buffinf wheels but in a factory you need to sharpen knives fast, cant afford to spend hours on a sinlge knife unless you rause the price a lot. Great videos, thise guys make some awesome knives.
I like LT Wright better because 1) Reputation 2) They know how to grind an edge without damaging the heat treat. 3) Peter's Heat Treat does all the HT for them and those guys are awesome at that they do too! When you buy a LT Wright Knife you are supporting an American small business, and you are helping a bunch of honest hard working guys to continue to do what they love which is making knives for all of us knife nuts out there! Ive heard way to many horror stories about Bark River.
I've been trying to get a SOSPES knife in Saber grind for a few years now with no such luck! (The SOSPES is worthy of another honorable run!) Just looking at a SOSPES makes me feel like fighting an alligator! HOW THE HECK DO I GET A SOSPES IN SABER GRIND IN 2023?

See the BHK tattoo on the bald guys left forearm LT must have got him when they split
LT and Dan where the owners of bhk
Not sure why they dont use a jig for sharpening, sharpening freehanded on a belt sander does not seem that accurate.
