Hello and thank you. I am a married person looking to register a FBN/DBA in California (San Diego specifically). There is a section on the application that asks "This business is conducted by: (please check one)" a. Individual, b. Married couple, c. General partnership, d. Limited partnership, e. Joint venture, co- partners (other options that don't apply omitted).... I'm wondering how I should answer this question if my spouse will be involved in my business approximately 10-30% and will business travel with me. Does it matter how I answer this question and at what capacity? Thank you.

@@krystalcampbell4281 It seems they are currently they are accepting mail in applications with a copy of Government ID (i.e. passport, CA Driver's License, etc.). Maybe because the Clerks office is not open? Not sure but heres what I found on

"In the Affidavit of Identity form, Section 1 is required to be completed by the registrant; Section 2 (which requires a Notary Public) is required if filing by mail or through a third party, but can be substituted with a copy of the registrant's valid, government-issued photo identification"
