People forget to mention that lil pump actually owns ALL his masters, meaning he will NEVER actually be broke. Kinda a lil genius fr
Ong he still making money off gucci gang
Hes still selling out shows even if they're no big. I may not be a fan of his music but he's still making money and having fun
lil pump also started the trend of shorter songs
Pump broke the industry by signing a 10mil deal when he was under 18 which made the deal null and void AND he kept the 10mil
that shit inspiring no doubt
bruh back then we had soundloud rappers and now we got tiktok rappers😭😭
Can’t think of many. I mean, we got Lil Nas X, Ice Spice and Lil Mabu.
@@corey4370thats cause most don't blow up like Tiktok singers do.
@@corey4370they aren't tiktok rappers
And both are trash.
Hip hop as a whole would be better off without these fake clowns.
Sounds cloud rappers are definitely superior to the tik tic musicians. With the exception of Kim Dracula. That man is a fucking genius
I hate that lil pump is considered a SoundCloud pioneer. He literally blew up AFTER Uzi, 21, Yachty, X, etc.
Feels weird to call 21 a SoundCloud rapper
@@infinity27-k2jeven weirder to think Post Malone was an early soundcloud rapper lol
That lil pump and cole interview is like nails on a chalkboard. They gotta lay off the weed
thats how most rappers are irl zero brain activity or personality lol thats why they appeal to a wide audience
@@pricklycatsdamn that self projection is a bit wild, ngl.
They're not wrong. _Most_ rappers aren't well spoken or very sharp. Just because you have a favorite rapper or two doesn't change that. @@deatheternal720
Nah they just chillin
@pricklycats you don't know no rappers bruh. You make trash beats and play COD all day. Stay in your lane
The whole thing with Russ was so corny, Russ didn’t lay a finger on him, it was all his security/crew 😂 but he acted like he single handedly whooped him
Yeah never understood that lmaoo
It's fuck Russ till I die
The fact anyone thought pump was good in the first place was crazy
I JUS BOUGHT 3000 DOLLAR GUCCI PANTS, I JUS LEFT THA TRAP AND IM OFF THA XAN
I mean, he's objectively good at making music that fits into his niche. When it comes to 1-2 minute, mindless SoundCloud bangers, he's basically unmatched.
He literally copied Riff Raffs thing
It was a time/place/'product-of-its-time' thing, it was pretty shallow which is why he fell off so hard after his first few hit tracks.
@@T0X1CSPIKES X did it better. Nothing Pump did was special
You should do one that’s like underground rappers that never blew up or sum
Taj-He-Spitz 🗣🗣
Bam Savage, idk what happened to him but he had that 2017 sound and a lightskin cross between X and Trippie, he was even from Broward County like Pump, Purpp, Ski n X
he must've quit (with a face tat like damn) its been like a year since he posted on soundcloud and like 5 years since he dropped a MV

Damn, how we used to have it good, 2016-2018 was really a good time for music and in general…
That's what I was thinking
i mean times were definitely better but music definitely wasnt better quality. theres both great and terrible music from all years
Lol. You mean the 90’s era
Yeah I’m not one to grow out of music either I’ll still throw a random xan, purp, or pump song on once in a while. With the way music has been recently it makes you realize that some of the stuff people hated them for isn’t as bad as it seemed.
@@335iGuy No way that you think lil pump, lil xan or smokepurpp are still good and better than the music now.

We’re almost out of this mega era of rap. Every few years new waves happen of course, like SoundCloud in 2015-2018, and then the lil baby, durk, yb, tjay, polo era from 2019- to now, but we can feel the change starting even though we’re still in this era with the new Kendrick song, carnival, jid, that jack harlow song, blp kosher etc. A whole new generations gonna be in soon, or a new mega era.
this is only ur reality

You really skimmed over “Let’s start Here” that’s lil yachtys masterpiece in my opinion
The funniest thing is that the lyrical rappers fell off too😭
98 views in 6 mins, didn’t fall off 🔥
Pump really finessed the industry just like frank ocean
Frank gave us classics fam don't ever put them in the same sentence.
The most annoying part about this era, was the people who ONLY messed with traditional rappers and would try and say your lying when you tell them you actually like both j Cole and the Soundcloud era
Quality over quantity is the KEY ingredient missing from music now.. Cole may have directed that at Pump but tbh he honestly told us not just what’s wrong with just Pump but now music as a whole.. It’s based on marketing and maybe ONE good song.. Not any level of quality output tbh..
Lil pump was 🔥 🗑 from the beginning.
Fr
bro copyin mattyballz videos 😂💀
bro I felt like this felt like something I watched recently lol
Mattyballz just posted a video like this yesterday lol
It’s like ai copied 😭
I don't know, Sound Cloud Rappers provided a new style and of course many were shit but some had a huge influence on hiphop. Juice Wrld, XXX, Post Malone, Lil Uzi, 21, Playboy Carti, the success of sound cloud rappers influenced the industry heavily and brought some new styles and innovations. And honstely even lil pump despite his contoversial personality had some enjoyable music.
Something the industry lacks heavily today, honestly in the last 2-3 years I heard less and less rap music. The rap music in my country is stagnating since the late 2010s, you can listen to a song from 2018 and it won't sound different to songs today. Same happened to the US market a little bit later, since 2-3 years I feel like hearing the same type of songs over and over again. For me rap got boring, in the 2010s rap from 2010 feeled different then rap from 2013, rap from 2013 different from rap in 2016 etc. But rap from 2024? Honestly could mostly be released in 2021.
I miss when pump was big from 2017 to 2019, or when other soundcloud rappers were big. 2017 to 2018 was one of the best of times, were booming along with 2016. Even the trap industry was at it's highest peak. Rip to those times, cuz rn life in general feels boring af
Yeah the era of rappers sounding like they got so high before recording that they had to write their songs on the elevator up to the studio was great, because they barely knew where they were. It was great for people wanting to laugh at it 😂
In that way, those times were a piece of cake
brother you miss life before your dopamine receptors burnt out, it ain't got nun to do with the era of rap. it's called getting old lol

@@misskeirstin6355 I've literally never listened to a song of his by will... I'm just saying he's not spoken about as he used to, but he is still pretty popular all ya gotta do is look at the numbers
@KARMAFORFUNnigga have you seen the numbers of his last albums
@@KARMAFORFUNhe's fallen off in the most relevant market. He has a large international fan base but I mean even then he's probably not the most respected artist by their industries
Soundcloud rappers are still cool and fire to me.
yeah thank god your taste isn’t industry standard
Everything the pump glazers are saying in comments were literally addressed in video, yall aint hearing it
Pump sold that 5 million dollar mansion to NFL player aaron jones for 7 mill
I genuinely dont think lil pump is doing that bad compared to where people thought he would be by now. He still is able to sell out shows and currently is on tour. Maybe his streaming numbers aren't as good anymore but to say he fell off would be far from true. Think about rappers that have truly fallen off like smokepurp, lil skies and lil xan. Some of These artist cant even get more than 20 people to show up for a show.
27:29 Adam saying anyone is corny is priceless
regardless of whether or not yachty has another commercially successful hit, he is definitely gonna have a lasting impact on this generation of artists to come
Crazy how good of a era this was
All dead juice peep x
See, I was a young lil guy when this whole Gucci gang 2017 thingy, and I never listened to it lol. My dad would also play some good rappers I like, for example RUN DMC, Eric B. And Rakim, LL COOL J, Kendrick, Kanye Jay Z, etc. all my friends tried to make me listen to the song saying “ay man play this”! It’s quite funny how that I’m older. In like 2017, I was still hopping to Trap Queen by Fetty Wap 😂

Yachty has been going CRAZY the past year, i kinda disagree with the take at the end of his segment
Where are the world’s most trash rappers now ?
Yachty pissing off the gatekeepers is hilarious. You're a bunch of grown ass men getting in an internet slap fight with a kid.
great editing tbf ur gonna grow more like this.
Lil yachty with his new album and his j cole song where they go bar for bar really shows a positive movement for him in my opinion you look at the comments in that video and you see nothing but positive feedback i think hes got something going for him
Bro gimme a video history on Wifisfuneral.
If it was this year J Cole wld b apologizing
Lil pump a generational talent
2:44 why did you get rid of the word “sixteen” are you that afraid of being cancelled..?
You can get cancelled for anything at this point
Every time I watch these videos, I feel kinda bummed. Only guy in the list actually Independent is Lil Pump. Hence why he can move how he wants and still make good money even with a "fall off" career. I listen to SoundCloud because the artists are majority independent and free of label institutionalization. Lil Darkie is one of my favorite artists and is, quite frankly, NOT talked about enough in hip hop crowds because he has a metal and punk influence. I believe a huge part of the beauty of hip hop and rap is its ability to be diverse and still stand out in every genre it presents itself in and the roots of hip hop is from people with no connections, no nepotism, no contracted obligations, and no selling out. Wu Tang Clan is the most iconic rap group of all time and they have endless punk rock notes, yet the demographic of artists that keep that style alive still go unspoken of by people with mainstream or rather larger platforms to speak of it on. Good video nonetheless!
Lil pump and cole had a playfull beef it wasnt actually real nor serious
My little sister still says Lil Pumps catch phrases rarely. Dude definitely left an impact on a generation.

"But now we got a new era of gangsters.
Hustlers and youngsters livin amongst us.

That lil pump and cold interview... any more chilled back and they would be behind the sofa peeking their heads to talk to each other. They both looked like they were about to fall asleep talking to each other in their dreams.
U can take ur friends but not carry them. Adin Ross needs to learn this too all these young rappers influencers etc
Ima be the next big iconic rapper watch
SoundCloud rap still my shit.
Yeah purp took it to far but saying ot on sight is cringe as fxk
The problem is that hip hop doesn't realize that hip hop, isn't hip hop nowadays. Back then hip hop was all about hustlin and making it out of the hood etc. Nowadays you have big labels just massively boosting these industry plants paving their way to success. These "old hats" hip hop fans should change their view on hip hop itself.

Listen and learn (if you're able to take advice) from someone who doesn't want anything from you - doesn't owe anything to you- doesn't work for you....basically really shouldn't give a XXXX about you....but would take the time to give some FREE advice ((that's why they can't get their heads around the fact that someone wants their best interests) and that shows what kind of attitude youngsters have nowadays! I bet Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston etc,etc would have loved to have been given advice from their idol - thats how music...nah SOCIETY works (best imo)) dare i say this is why we (blacks) can't have nice things....sometimes!
